The last few months of my life have been the absolute best. The best way to describe my life before meeting Liam would be “a shit show.” And that’s an understatement. But now, my life has changed for the best. And not just mine, Liam’s too.
Just last week, I had my very first gallery opening. So many of New York’s elites ended up there, admiring my art, bidding insane amounts of money. In all honesty, the checks that went through from that day are what paid for most of this wedding.
And a month back, Liam had rather carelessly auditioned at the last minute for what he thought was a small role, but turned out to be a multi-movie deal working with some big time actors. We might be moving to Los Angeles because of this deal, something I’m really looking forward to if it ends up happening. I love New York but I could do with a change of scenery.
Then again, I also wouldn’t mind staying here, where I met Liam, and where we can go to Central Park where he’ll let me draw him any time. Hell, maybe I’ll make another fifty-five grand for it, too.
Here I am now. With Pops walking me down the aisle.
At the end, I can see Suzanne and Lyssa at the priest’s right side, wearing matching peach dresses and standing proudly as my bridesmaids. On the opposite end of the stage, Liam’s five brothers are whispering to each other while my man tries to shush them both.
“All five of them are coming for the wedding?” I’d asked him, amazed. Several live in New York, having followed him here after he paved the way in pursuing his dreams, while the other two still live back in Ireland.
“Aye, but of course,” he’d said, winking at me. “I’m from a big Irish Catholic family. We love weddings. Everyone will be there with bells on.”
And he was right. They’re all standing up there next to him, and I dare say that Lyssa and Suzy both look smitten by them. But he’s the only one I’m focused on.
From far away, our eyes meet. His gaze from those gorgeous emerald eyes burns through my white veil and we smile, astonished at each other’s appearance. I pass by the large brood of McSteeles who are jokingly whistling at me and cheering me on as I glide closer towards Liam. My mom waves at me when I turn my head in the other direction to check on my very reserved side of the family.
Just as I’d joked back when I met Liam, we’re having a very big wedding. On St. Patrick’s Day. It’s just about as Irish as we can get.
For those wondering, Brittany Langs and Scott Withers were not among the many guests invited to this wedding. But their lives have been more or less interesting. Worth mentioning, at the very least. Although only for the reason that they got what was coming to them, or else I wouldn’t bother thinking of them on my wedding day.
The wife of my former boss found out that Brittany had been fucking her husband, and he was forced to put an end to his affair. Scott, too, had to find a new place of employment as he kept being a no show for his job while he stalked Brittany, and also because he kept being far too emotional and volatile when he actually bothered to show up. He’s now working at a Starbucks, of all places. I guess everything comes full circle after a while.
The wedding goes off without a single hitch. Liam and I are pronounced man and wife and are met with the cheers of all of our guests as we lean forward to give each other our first kiss as a married couple. Beautiful as it was, that’s not the part I’ll remember the most.
After we drive off in our limo and arrive at the hotel we’re staying at, Liam and I run straight to our suite. I tell Liam that I just wanted a change of shoes before we join everyone else at the reception, but when we get there, I take off my shoes, lift up my dress, pull my panties off, bend over the bed, and asked him to fuck me as his wife.
