Wild Rugged Daddy - A Single Daddy Mountain Man Romance by Sienna Parks (47)

JAX

She tastes so fucking good. I just want to lay her down right here on the dance floor and ride her so hard she forgets her own name. Her cheeks are softer than velvet beneath my fingertips, her lips like a cool breeze on a hot summer night. Her touch drowns out everything around us. I can’t get enough, and a kiss is just the beginning. As my dick begins to harden, I push her hips, but she pushes back, grinding against me eliciting the sweetest of moans. I need to get her out of here before we start getting heckled for indecency.

“Follow me.” She grabs me by the hand and pulls me toward the restrooms. Locking the door behind us, she rips my shirt open before dipping her head to kiss my chest. This girl just keeps on surprising me. As the music blares in the background and people bang on the door, we become lost in our own little world—hands caressing, breath panting as we moan and writhe and kiss. Her lips are soft—their touch on my skin feather-light, but leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Sliding my hands up her thighs, I cup her ass and lift her to where I can perch her on the edge of the sink. She has curves in all the right places—voluptuous and mouthwatering.

Grabbing me by the hair, she pulls me close enough to ravage me with her greedy little mouth, my hat dropping to the floor. I roam her warm caramel skin—my fingers exploring every dip and swell with needy anticipation. I glide my hands between her legs pushing her skirt up far enough to reveal a sliver of black lace covering her pussy. I can’t resist gently skimming my fingers down her center eliciting a jaw-dropping moan from her lips as she throws her head back and clamps her legs together.

“Open your legs. I know you want to feel my hands on you, or we wouldn’t be in here.” I trail kisses up her thighs, edging her legs until she spreads them wide for me. Her panties are already damp as I slip my fingers underneath the tiny scrap of lace.

“Fuck, you’re wet.” I push the material aside exposing her pussy to the cool breeze coming from the A/C. She’s slick and swollen, her lips begging for the smallest kiss. I couldn’t stop myself even if I wanted to. I dart my tongue out to taste her arousal. “Oh, God.” The low vibration of my voice has her thighs trembling around me as I go in for a long, luscious lick. She tastes so fucking good. She attempts to close her legs again—the timid girl winning out over the confident woman who led me in here, but my hands press against them pushing them as wide as they can possibly go.

“Jackson!” Her uninhibited cry spurs me on lapping at her clit until she can’t form a coherent word. My dick is so hard, it’s painful against my jeans. I slip two fingers inside her as I continue to kiss, lick, and flick her toward orgasm. She’s so fucking tight. The last time I felt a pussy this tight around my cock was in high school. I reach between my legs and unzip my fly releasing my dick in anticipation of a hot fuck as soon as I make her come all over my fingers. Sliding them back inside her is a delicious torture. She grabs a fistful of my hair pushing my mouth as close as she can get setting her rhythm as she grinds against my tongue.

The moment she finds release, her pussy clenches around my fingers in uncontrollable, relentless pleasure. As my name falls from her lips screaming for me to continue, I pull a foil packet from my back pocket leaving her laid bare on the countertop as I roll on the obligatory rain jacket.

“You wanna ride reverse?” I slide my hand over her folds, her juices giving me more than enough to work my cock. With my hand wrapped around the base, I pump my cock a few times letting her see what’s coming. I love showing a woman my dick for the first time. It’s almost a shock-and-awe situation, but this time, I only see shock. As she comes down from her orgasmic high, I pull her toward me, but her wistful satisfaction quickly turns to horrified awareness. She pushes at me to back up.

“I’m so sorry. I don’t… I never… I don’t do one-night stands, and I definitely can’t do it in here.” I’m fucking floored. My balls ache worse than they would being kicked by a horse. She snaps her legs shut and fixes her panties without so much as a glance in my direction.

“You seemed just fine thirty seconds ago. Did I do something to upset you?”

“I don’t know what came over me. It’s not you… it’s me.”

“Seriously? I give you the best orgasm of your life, and you’re going to spin me that old line?”

“It’s not a line. I didn’t plan this. I have to go. It was good, but I can’t do this.” I reach for her hand—something inside me wants to comfort her.

“Please, don’t leave.” I turn to find my shirt and attempt to harness the beast back into my pants when I hear the door unlocking. She pushes me out into the angry line of waiting patrons who are gaping at my current state of undress. She slams the door shut and twists the lock. Good? Fucking good? I’m a goddamn master!

“Struck out, Jax?” I don’t even know whose smart mouth starts the torrent of jokes at my expense, and I’m in no mood to care.

“Go fuck yourself!”

I bang on the door hoping she’ll see sense.

“Savannah! Open the door. I’m sorry. Please open the door.” The crowd slowly loses interest in my car wreck of a date, leaving me with my dick out talking to a door. My mind is reeling trying to figure out what spooked her. I’m the first to say I have a big dick, but it’s not monstrous enough to send a girl running like that! I tuck it in my pants and fix my shirt before pulling out my phone to call her, but it goes straight to voicemail.

“Hi… it’s Jackson. I thought we were having a good time. It sounded like you were enjoying yourself. If I did something you didn’t want, then I’m sorry. Call me.” Part of me wants to shout into the phone—you left me with a serious wood problem—but what surprises me most is the lack of any negative feelings toward her. If anything, I want to see her even more. I need to know she’s okay and that I didn’t do anything against her will. That would kill me.

It might not seem like it when I’ve just tried to fuck a veritable stranger in the restroom, but I respect women and the right to say no at any point. It’s never happened to me… until tonight. When I don’t get a response, I wait quietly at the door, but she doesn’t make any move to come out of there. Finally, I go and ask Kirby to let me know she’s okay when she reappears. I don’t like leaving without seeing her, but it’s loud and clear she doesn’t want to see me.

I can still taste her arousal—a drop of water on a thirsty man’s lips. I sling back a shot of Jack and head out. Where? I don’t know—just somewhere that isn’t Kingsbury Falls.

* * *

I’ve checked my phone more in the past few weeks than I have since cell phones were invented—not a call or text from Savannah. I’m like a pathetic teenage girl waiting for the guy who will never call. I’m every girl I dated in high school! Meanwhile, Maddox and A.B. have been overwhelmingly happy—it sickens me. I’m officially the third wheel again, just like I was when we were young. This can’t be how I spend my birthday—mooning over a girl.

My mom wasn’t big on celebrations when I was growing up, but Rae loves to blow out the candles, so the smallest party on earth will be taking place at the ranch tonight. I’m not really in the mood, but it beats sitting at home or finding a nondescript woman to ride. Somehow, thirty-three feels like a big deal—not a birthday I want to waste with a stranger.

I swing by my mom’s house for a couple of hours, and we go through the obligatory pleasantries and awkward conversation about when I’m going to wise up and take over the hardware store.

“Boy, you need to get that head screwed on and stop messing around over on that ranch. You want to be the Hale boy’s bitch the rest of your life?”

“I’ve never been anyone’s bitch! I worked my ass off to get Mustang to where it is. Bobby believed that… why can’t you?”

“Bobby Hale wasn’t a real businessman. He needed a stable boy to keep Maddox’s seat warm until he came back. That’s all you were.” I haven’t discussed Bobby’s will with anyone. I’m still processing what it means for me.

“If that’s what you think, why would you even want me to take over my deadbeat dad’s precious hardware dynasty? You’ve always wanted to tear me down, but not anymore. I’m done. Bobby Hale left me part ownership of Mustang when he died. I own a stake in the land and businesses.” She slaps me full force, her gaudy ring leaving a scratch.

“Ain’t right! I didn’t raise you to steal another man’s inheritance.”

“You didn’t raise me… period! I need to go.”

She’s left reeling by my outburst, but as I head for the door, I realize the silver lining of her low expectations of me—I never fail to disappoint. Normally, I would feel a twinge of guilt after a run-in with her, but I’m just done right now. Nothing is falling into place the way I thought it would, and throwing part ownership of Mustang into the mix only confuses me further.

The drive out to the ranch is quicker than usual, my frustration spilling over onto the speedometer. A.B.’s truck passes me on the main road. I guess my ‘party’ just got bumped for a broken this or a bruised that. It’s great having her back in town. She’s a walking disaster when it comes to decisions she’s made, but she gives the best advice of anyone I know. She’s the poster child for what not to do. Running away never fixed any of her problems. It just made them worse because she didn’t have Maddox in her life for so many years. She’s living on the ranch now that they’re back together and happier than pigs in shit.

I’m met with a warm welcome and a spider-monkey hug around my leg from my favorite girl. Maddox and his grandfather, Pops, are in the background laughing as I attempt to walk the length of their living room with Rae clinging to me for dear life.

“Happy birthday, Uncle Jax! I can’t tell you we got you new boots… it’s a surprise!” And just like that, my day is filled with her sunshine.

“I won’t tell if you don’t.” She attempts to wink at me, but it looks like she has sawdust in her eye.

“Hey, old man.” Maddox hands me a beer.

“I was born two months before you, asshole!”

“Exactly. I’m still a young stud.”

“And I’m a seasoned stallion.” I grab my crotch in a crude gesture before being slapped upside the head by Pops.

“You boys are as immature as each other. Happy birthday, son. Dinner is almost ready. A.B. just ran to the store to get some marshmallows.”

“For dinner? No offense, Pops, but that sounds gross.”

“Shut your pie-hole and pull up a pew.”

I’m on my third beer by the time A.B. returns with the essential birthday marshmallows.

“Jax! Happy birthday! I hope you don’t mind, but I invited a guest to crash the party.” I look to the door, and there she stands—Savannah.

“Happy birthday, Jackson. Pardon the intrusion, but Annabeth insisted.” A.B. ushers her in shaking her head.

“Call me A.B. I’m sure Jax is happy as a clam at high tide. Isn’t that right?” Rae comes bounding over to me with excitement dancing in her eyes.

“Yay. More party people.” She runs over to introduce herself to Savannah. Without a word, I head for the fridge. I’m going need a lot more beer if I’m going get through dinner. Mad follows me into the kitchen while the girls make small talk.

“Isn’t this the girl you’ve been pining over?”

“I haven’t…” I don’t even have the energy to fake this shit today. “Yes, that’s her.”

“I can see why. She’s hot.”

“Yeah, and the last time I saw her I had my head buried in her pussy before getting a door slammed in my face.” As the words leave my mouth, I regret it. I hadn’t told Maddox what happened that night at the bar.

“Hold the phone. What?” He pulls me out back, so little ears can’t hear. “You went down on her, and she kicked you out? That’s hilarious.” He’s just about doubled over when I give him a playful but hard jab to the stomach.

“There’s nothing funny about getting an appetizer and no main dish. She is sweeter than apple pie when she’s aroused.” I’ve been trying so hard to forget how she felt against my tongue, but it was too fucking good. My dick twitches in my pants desperate to explore her body.

“Are you boys coming in or are you going to be rude jackasses all night?” If looks could kill, A.B. would be sporting an orange jumpsuit right about now.

“What the hell were you thinking to bring her here?” She looks genuinely surprised.

“I thought you’d be happy. She’s the mystery girl, right?” Maddox looks in any direction but mine. He’s been gossiping like an old fishwife.

“You’re both douchebags.” Maddox wraps his arm around A.B.’s shoulder kissing her gently on the head. “I’m only staying for Rae. She likes doing the cake.” I leave them gazing into each other’s eyes like lovesick puppies.

Savannah looks stunning in a pair of ratty jeans and a tank top. She’s crouched on the floor next to Rae braiding her hair. It’s so stinking cute, I can’t help softening a little. I’ve missed her, and I don’t know why. She’s done nothing but screw with my head since the second I laid eyes on her.

“Why did you agree to come here? I haven’t heard from you or even seen you around for weeks. I thought you’d left.”

“I was going to leave, but I still have research to do.”

“Still doesn’t explain why you’re in this house right now.” She moves out of earshot of Rae beckoning me to the corner of the room.

“I didn’t know what to say. A.B., she was… persistent. I couldn’t say no.”

“You didn’t have a problem saying no to me.” I know it’s a low blow, but she’s under my skin.

“Fair comment.”

“I don’t even care about that. You could have stopped, and we could’ve talked about whatever was bothering you that day. I left you messages. You haven’t returned any of my calls. I’m not a monster. If you’d given me the chance to understand how you were feeling, maybe I would’ve surprised you.” She reaches for me, but I recoil in defense. I know the second we touch, I’m done for. My attraction to her is off the charts, and when my dick takes over rational thought, there’s no going back.

“I’m so sorry, Jackson. It was never my intention to mess with you. My life has been… complicated over the past few years. I came to Kingsbury Falls to find myself, and I’m afraid.”

“Of what?”

“Of losing myself.”

“I don’t want that, and I don’t see the correlation. Why would spending time with me stop you from figuring out what comes next?” I search her dark brown eyes for any sign that she feels the same tangible energy sparking between us.

“Because every time I look at you… it’s like I have on blinkers. Everything else fades into the background, and I have tunnel vision. All I see is you. There are so many reasons why we can’t happen.”

“What reasons? Would it be so bad?”

“It scared me that night at Cardinals… how easily I lost control. How badly I wanted you to fuck me. I meant it when I said I’ve never done anything like that before… restrooms or strangers.” I settle my hands on her hips pulling her close.

“Does this feel so wrong to you?” Her breath caresses my neck.

“No… but…”

I nibble the edge of her ear whispering so only she can hear me. “Did it feel good that night? To let yourself cum on my tongue… buck wild?” I dart my tongue into her ear making her tremble in my arms.

“Yes… but…”

“But… nothing. I want you, and I know you want me.” I trail my lips down her neck as I savor the quickening of her pulse. “You came here tonight because you feel it… that inexplicable force. It’s primal and desperate and arousing as hell.”

“Yes, I feel it,” her voice is barely a whisper. I wish more than anything that we were alone right now.

“Then stay. Be with me. Get to know me. We can take it slow. Just… stay.”

“Okay.” I rest my hand on her cheek tilting her head and ghosting a hint of a kiss on her lips. She tastes like coconut—sweet and refreshing.

“It’s cake time, Uncle Jax! Blow out the candles with me!” The lights go out, and Maddox makes a big deal of singing happy birthday to me. With a round of applause, Rae blows with all her might but doesn’t manage to blow out a single candle. We do it together before smiling for a picture.

My birthday took an unexpected twist, but sometimes those are the best nights. We laugh and joke, dance and drink. After the initial awkwardness, Savannah took everything in stride. It’s as if she was meant to be here with us. Her and A.B. talk all night long finding common ground. Savannah dotes on Rae who is a prerequisite for any woman coming into my life.

By the end of the night, Savannah is practically grilling Maddox for information—eager to get to know my best friend. I sit back in reserved awe afraid to trust her. She’s the kind of woman who inspires country songs—she has heartbreak written all over her—but I suspect she’s worth every painful second of it.
