Angel's Fantasy: A Box Set Of Greatest Romance Hits by Alexis Angel, Abby Angel, Dark Angel (180)

Epilogue

The Money Making Trio, that’s how the newspapers label us. I think that’s an apt nickname for the three of us, don’t you agree?

After Wanda was taken down, it was only a matter of time until I blossomed into a true Seymour, a veritable captain of finance. Derek and Carter merged their companies two months after Wanda went to jail, and together they're both stronger than they could have been by themselves. They had help of course. The large Seymour estate was managed entirely by their new company. And, with Carter and Derek by my side, that happened sooner than later. In just a matter of one year, they’ve helped me turn $250 billion into $303 billion and then some change. Not bad, huh? And I’m only talking about my net worth. Both their companies have also grown exponentially and, if you pool together all the money we have… Well, let’s not go there, alright? So much money is simply obscene.

Not that I’m worried about being labeled a robber baron or some bullshit like that. In fact, we’re making an effort to spend the bulk of our fortune on where it matters most. Eradicating diseases, poverty, and what have you. You know, just doing what we can for the world we live in.

But you didn’t come here to read about all the philanthropy I’ve been doing, right? You’re probably more interested in the kind of sex I’m having now that I live with my two daddies… Yeah, I still use the word daddy from time to time (it just keeps things spicy) ... and yeah, I’m living with the two of them.

I mean, what did you expect? There’s a strong bond between us, one I think to be even stronger than love. Sure, society would have liked us to play nice and not raise any waves … but you know what I think about bullshit like that, don’t you?

A month after what happened with Wanda, the three of us bought a huge penthouse (cost us $300 million, which makes it the most expensive condo in New York) and moved in together. Sure, the tabloids loved to run all these stories about the “perverted antics” (as they so eloquently put it) of Eliza Seymour and her two stepfathers but, in the end, society as a whole came around.

That probably had something to do with all the billions we spent on charity but, hey, beggars can’t be choosers!

Right, I’m getting distracted now. Derek and Carter are going to be here soon, and I still have to take the meat out of the oven.

Putting my mitt ovens on, I kneel in front of the oven and open it, taking the tray from the inside. I gaze at the roast beef and, happy with its color, I hurry toward the living room and set the tray right on the middle. Taking a step back, I place my hands on my hips and glance at the dinner table.

A red tablecloth, fancy silverware, and candles to set the mood. Looks good, I think. God, I hope it does.

Alright, back to you again. If you’re wondering why the richest woman on Earth is busy cooking dinner for the two men in her life, don’t worry; I haven’t thrown in the towel and resigned to be a stay-at-home wife while they manage my money. Far from it, as a matter of fact, Carter is the one doing most of the cooking nowadays. But today’s a special day. Want to know why? Well, you’ll have to wait. You didn’t think I’d tell you before them, did you?

Oh, fuck, did you hear that? They’re already here! I can already hear their voices coming from the hall. Rushing toward the kitchen, I throw my oven mitts on top of the counter and, grabbing the bottle of champagne sitting there, I bring it with me to the living room.

I get there just as they’re walking inside the living room, and they stop dead in their tracks as they see the homemade dinner I’ve prepared.

“Alright…” Carter whispers suspiciously, looking at Derek with one cocked eyebrow before turning his attention toward me. “Please tell me you’re not apologizing for giving away all of our money.”

“Oh, are we going to be living under a bridge now?” Derek laughs, closing the distance between him and I, and pressing his mouth on mine. “What’s all this about, baby?”

“I’ve got something to tell you,” I tell them, anticipation making my heart beat faster and faster.

“Something good…?” Carter tries, coming up to me and kissing me as well.

“I’m pregnant,” I blurt out, speaking so fast that I mash the words together.

“You what?” Derek asks me, turning around so fast to look at me that he almost stumbles forward. I take two deep breaths to calm myself and then repeat my words, slowly this time.

“I. Am. Pregnant.”

“Holy fuck,” Derek cries out, rushing toward me to take me in his arms. He stops a few feet away from me and, instead of locking me into a bear hug, he wraps his arms softly (and rather comically) around me.

“I’m not made of glass, you know?” I laugh and, acting as if they’re one, both men go down to their knees in front of me. They reach for my belly and rest their hands there, a delicious smile on their faces.

“I guess we’re about to become daddies for real,” Carter says, turning to Derek. He reaches for Derek’s hand and takes it in his, squeezing it softly as both men go up to their feet.

“I love you,” I breathe out, one hand on my belly, over theirs, as my gaze shifts from one to the other. “You’re my life, the two of you…”

“Well, now we’re four,” Derek says, lacing me by the waist with one arm and kissing me deeply. Our tongues dance around one another and, the moment we pull back from each other, Carter’s lips land on my own.

Before I know it, Derek has picked me up from the floor and is carrying me in his arms, turning toward the master bedroom.

“Dinner’s going to get cold,” I laugh, but truth be told, I couldn’t care less about dinner right now.

“We’ll reheat it,” Carter offers casually, grabbing Derek by the hand and dragging us toward the bedroom. “We need to celebrate,” he says as he pushes the door to our bedroom open, pulling us all inside and not even bothering to turn on the lights.

Yeah, that’s what we’ll be doing all night long—celebrating. And by God, if there’s anything that needs celebrating, it’s this.

Can you believe it? We’re going to be parents! And to think that one year ago I was just landing in New York, a knot in my stomach as I prepared to face the real world for the first time in ages. And look where I’m now … more than being rich, I’m happy. And believe me when I say it: nothing beats being happy.

Specially when being happy means the two most gorgeous men on Earth love you.

Feel free to envy me.

I’ve earned it.
