I take off out the front door and out to the large black Lincoln Navigator parked across the street, as I see Andrea climbing in. Tabetha is hot on my heels and Uncle Henry too.
“Baby, please don't leave. Don't leave me, Andrea. We can work this out!” I yell as I round the car toward her door.
“I'm leaving, Trent. I'm not living like this. My baby won't live this way either.”
“You aren't keeping my child from me, Andrea Jensen, you better hear me good!” I grab her arm and yank her around to face me. Rage fills me as I look at her, how dare she think she can take it all away.
The hand on the back of my neck is hard and fast as I'm ripped back and thrown on the hood of the car. With my head spinning I cock my arm back to swing at the son of a bitch.

Your name only carries you so far in life, it's best you learn it now. You're on my list now, Nancy, you’d better be careful,” he tells me with a hand to my throat.
“Unless Andrea wants you near her, stay away,” he steps back and lets go.
This big fuck walks around to check on Andrea and gets her in. She looks shaken and in shock, no emotion on her face, just staring.
“Take me home, Carter, please,” she says quietly. He nods and closes the door. Carter looks behind me to Uncle Henry and to Tabetha. He just shakes his head.
“I got this, Avery, thanks for taking care of Andrea. That girl is something special,” Uncle Henry says as he shakes hands with Carter.
“That she is.” He opens the door and gets in.
I just stare him down a moment through the windshield as Henry pulls me back toward the house. Tabetha grabs my hand and walks close to my side.
“That was hot!” she yells.
“Get in the fucking house, Trent,” my uncle says walking ahead of me.
“I don't know who asked Marissa here, but I better not see her again.”
“That's fine, I don't want to see her again either.”
“Let me help you feel better, baby, let's go get some more drinks. I'll stay with you and keep you company,” Tabetha says on a giggle.
“Take that ass down the stairs to the room, get on the bed naked, and spread out for me. I'll be there in a minute.”
“Mmmm, you won't regret the one on one show with me big boy,” she says, sauntering ahead of me. Looking over her shoulder, she winks and walks in the house.
“I'm sorry,” I turn to say to my uncle. “I didn't mean to bring down the party. Whoever this Avery fuck is better think again about messing with the Zito family,” I start.
“You're right, you have no fucking idea who Carter Avery is. You fucked up, Trent. I would stay out of his way,” he informs me as he walks past me.
Walking my way back into the party like nothing happened, I walk past my sister and just give her a small smile. I'm not listening to her lecture I know is coming. I grab a beer from the cooler, open it up, and guzzle it down. Amy just grabs Matt and her stuff and leaves. Suit yourself, my party won't be dampened tonight. I'm just warming up.
“Hi, tough crowd tonight, huh.” I hear in a deep chuckle behind me.
Turning to face whoever it is, I see it's a guy about my uncle’s age. He's drinking a beer and just surveying the room. He's taller and skinny, has a small mustache, and shorter hair combed over to the side.
“It seems so.” Taking a swig of my beer, I look around as well.
“Seems too much pussy is a problem for you, Mr. Zito,” he chuckles.
“I'm sorry, do I know you?”
“Not formally, but I know who you and your family are. I work in Wayne County and we run some of the same circuits, deal with some of the same cases. I wanted to introduce myself to you. My name is Ed,” he says, reaching his hand out to shake mine.
“Trent,” I say, nodding my head to him and shaking his hand. “I hate to run on ya, man, but I have someone waiting for me. You gonna be around awhile?”
“I'll be here checking out what just what the fuss is about with the big Zito Halloween Bash,” he says on a chuckle.
“I'll catch up with you later then,” I say over my shoulder as I head down the stairs to the naked and willing piece of ass waiting for me.
