Backstage: A Fake Marriage Romance by Abbey Foxx (40)

Epilogue

Several months later...

Marissa

It’s incredible how quickly things can change. One moment I’m a certified princess, stealing away to the shed at the back of the palace gardens to play tonsil tennis with the gardener, the next I’m in a three-way relationship with two of the finest football players this generation has produced, and all three of us are expecting our first baby.

Not long after my parents decided to abandon me completely and then cut me off both emotionally and financially, Elon played his final card and exposed our relationship to the public. The first we knew about it were the swarms of paparazzi waiting for us at the lobby of the hotel, before we later realized the full extent of a story we had all become.

People were waking up all over the world in shock, every single front and back page of the daily papers were covered in pictures of the three of us together - pictures I am sure Elon had commissioned - and almost every single TV network had some kind of gossip column style programme to try to come to terms with what seemed to be being described as the scandal of the century.

Logan and Carter were hauled up against the national football league board and immediately suspended while an investigation was put into place, which seemed crazy to all of us at the time because neither one of us could really work out what was being investigated. This was typical reactionary behavior on the part of the media and the NFL, and when they realized there was no story or no investigation to speak of, that nobody was being hurt or coerced into doing something they didn’t want to, the decision was retracted.

The country had gone crazy over a three-way relationship that was actually working. Yes, this wasn’t some one night love in between two football players and a princess - something the press had jumped on as scandalous - it was actually a working relationship with profound and meaningful depth and although it was true that its participants were two famous footballers and a princess, we were all clearly in this for the long run. Carter made a heartfelt speech, both directed to the fans of his team and the public in general and then Logan did exactly the same, answering every awkward question the press put to him, with patience and humility. It took less than a week for the furor to die down, and less than a month for us to be largely forgotten about completely.

It was a weird period for us all, but something we knew we just had to get through. We still have our detractors, and there are still people that don’t understand how our relationship can work, and even more people that think that it’s some kind of joke and are waiting patiently for the punchline, but in general we’ve been accepted as unique and left largely alone to live our lives in peace.

A life, which I have to say, has gotten better and better each day we’ve lived it. Like I say, I’m pregnant, and no, I have no idea who the father is. Logan and Connor are like two kids fighting over the last packet of Haribo at a candy store, and I’ve never seen either of them more excited, which is saying a lot for Logan. They don’t care who the father is at all, they are just over the moon that we are getting a new addition to our family.

The sex continues to be incredible between us and yes, Logan finally got his way and Carter and I let us all experience double vaginal penetration. If I’m entirely honest, I think it was a little too much for all of us, and is something we might reserve for a special night maybe once or twice a year.

I still haven’t spoken to my family, but when word gets out about the baby - which is getting harder and harder to keep secret in public - I’m going to try my best to get in contact with them. They may have decided to cut me off, but it isn’t fair for me to deny them the opportunity to get to know their grandchild.

When word does get out, I’m expecting another media shitstorm, although this time we’ll be delivering the news and we’ve got the perfect PR team on our side to spin it with the right angle to make everyone love us. That’s never been too difficult with Logan and Carter in my corner, to be honest, those guys could charm anyone if they spent enough time with them. I’ve half a mind to take them with me to Sri-Lanka after the baby is born and get them to have a go on my parents again.

As for my boys, after their mini suspension a few months ago, they’ve both been excelling on the field. I’ve been to a few games, but because they’re not on the same team, I have to divide my time equally with each of them, and that means quite a lot of travel. The plus side is that I’ve seen quite a bit of my new adopted country, so I guess it’s not all bad. They’re playing against each other in the playoffs soon, which means I’ll have to either support them both or just avoid the whole thing altogether. It might be a good moment to go out shopping.

Carter has somehow worked out a temporary visa solution to enable me to stay in the country for now, but we are all aware that at some point in the near future, we are either going to have to get married or figure out some kind of long-term, work sponsorship deal.

Thankfully they’ve both got enough money to sort that out, and it means there won’t have to be a situation where two of us are married and the other isn’t. It seems crazy to all of us now, but marriage between three people still isn’t a viable option almost anywhere in the western world.

Which brings me to Elon. Logan is the one who recognized his picture in the paper. He’s apparently moved his base of operations to the middle east, where he’s fallen in love with a princess from Qatar whom he plans to marry in an elaborate ceremony as soon as permission is granted from her father. In the four months that have passed since I last saw him, he’s managed to put on a huge amount of weight. Thank God I escaped that bullet.

So, that’s it. The princess that dared to dream finally got the two men she wanted. I guess saying I’m happy with how it turned out for me is a serious understatement. For a moment I thought I was going to be traded off to the most boring man in the world, only for Logan and Carter to come and rescue me. I suppose for a girl like me, this not being your average fairytale is kind of poetic irony.

You know what they say about two being company and three being a crowd? Well, that’s what everyone in a company says. Anyone who’s ever been in a crowd, and you know the kind of crowd I’m talking about right? - two pairs of hands, two thick chests, two pairs of smoldering eyes and two huge throbbing cocks to put anywhere you want - knows that saying is bullshit.

I’ve got a saying of my own, that’s way more appropriate. When you’ve had two at a time, one just never seems enough.

But that’s me all over, just a dirty-minded, foul-mouthed princess, who decided one day that she’d dare to dream.

Never forget you have the power to do that too.

THE END
