Knocked Up By The Other Brother: A Secret Baby Second Chance Romance by Ashlee Price (98)

Chapter 4

Cal was ready long before Ana was. She took almost an hour, but by the time she came out, he about swallowed his tongue. “Oh my Ana. You are…”

He couldn’t think of words that would properly say it. Her hair was down and blown out straight. Her makeup was light, but accentuated her fair features. The dress she wore was not too short, but hugged every one of her curves. Cal felt a surge of blood to his cock and he went back to ‘grab’ something from his room. It was going to be a long night and he had to convince his body to stop reacting like they were alone and she was already his wife. They were still in the trial stages and the last thing he needed to do was come on too strong, but she was not making it any easier on him.

She smiled up at him sweetly when he came back out and he moved to kiss her before he really thought it through. Ana’s lips were soft and yielding as his moved down to hers. He heard her moan as his tongue pushed through her lips and the sound drove him a little mad. His body crushed her against him with a tight grip around her waist by one of his arms. Ana’s body molded to his, soft and inviting.

Cal pulled away suddenly, apologizing. Ana didn’t know why he was sorry, but her lips were still warm from his kiss. The way he had grabbed her made her knees go weak, his strength apparent from his touch. He was like a gentle giant, with a controlled power that was just underneath the surface.

“No need to apologize Cal. It was really nice.”

She looked up at him with her crystal blue eyes, wanting more but not knowing how to ask. Her thoughts went to dinner and she almost suggested that they just go ahead and stay in, but no words would form in her mouth. Instead he took her hand gentle and steered her towards his truck. Again, he held the door open for her, the gentleman in him made her appreciate him more.

“So this Thomas, he found a bride online as well?”

Cal nodded as he drove a little ways out of the city. “Yeah.”

“Is he happy?”

“I think so. Says it was the best decision her ever made.”

“So is this why you tried it?”

“Yeah. I thought it was kind of crazy idea, but him and Ivanka have been married for over five years, about to have a second child. They seem happy.”

“Do you want children?”

It was a question he hadn’t really been expecting, but he knew his answer. Like many others, he had been debating starting a family and it was one of the reasons that he had went with Thomas’ idea. “Yes, do you?”

“I do. Not too many though, maybe two or three.”

He liked the sound of that, but the conversation was cut short because they were there and he was parking behind several cars already in the driveway. “There are many people here?”

“No, Thomas has a teenaged son from a previous marriage, so they just all have a car.”

“Even Ivanka?”

Cal looked at her strangely and nodded. “Of course.”

She seemed surprised by that answer. “Will I get one?”

“As soon as you get a license, yes. So are you ready?”

She nodded and waited for him to open the door. He seemed to like to do it and she liked the way it made her feel. The day had turned out to be a series of surprises, one better than the next. It was the first time Ana could see herself staying, marrying him and having his children. The thought brought her mind to the how and her eyes flicked to his pants as he opened the door. What other surprises would he have in store she wondered?

Cal introduced everyone and Ana and Ivanka went into the kitchen to finish dinner. Ana was happy to see someone she could talk to and she wanted to ask some questions about Cal since they all seemed to know each other so well. She wanted an opinion from someone who came from the same kind of background and would understand the differences between the men from America. They were so different and she wondered how Ivanka had been able to adapt.

“So what do you think of Cal?”

“He is, very nice. Almost too nice.”

“Ah, you wonder if he will try to tie you up at night while you sleep?”

Ana laughed. “See you understand!”

“I do. But he is just that nice. I’ve known him for many years now. I thought much of the same thing when I was with Tom. He was just too nice and I thought he was a soft man, but he is not. He is just kind and gentle. It is valued here among their men.”

“Is it strange?”

“A little, but you get used to it. I left a very mean man from home, wouldn’t let me leave the house without him, so I was weary when I met Tom, but he is just as nice as he was then. More so since I had Nicholas I think, he treasures me now.”

The young toddler was coloring at the table, watching his mother cook and visit. All of their talk was done in Russian and it seemed like the son was keeping up just as well.

“So what of Cal?”

“Well he is just lonely I think. Dated some, but got screwed over more than not. You will see there are many differences here, but most are pretty good. You will like it here. Have you guys set a date yet?”

“I got here this morning and we have only talked, went out a bit. He doesn’t seem interested in more, just once kissing me.”

Ivanka looked back at the two men at the table, trying to act like they weren’t watching them. “Oh he is, look at the way he looks at you.”

Ana liked to hear it. It made her feel a little better. She had honestly figured they would have stayed in bed most of the first couple of days. Many men on those kinds of sites may want a wife, but they wanted sex more than anything else. “I hope so.”

Ivanka chuckled a little. She too, had admired Cal, even though she loved her husband very much, Cal was something to look at working outside on a hot day with his shirt off. She looked from one to the other and she smiled, it was going to work out well and that made her happy. It meant that Thomas would be happy for his friend and maybe she would have someone to practice her Russian with so she didn’t forget her language.
