Who is this woman and where has she been all my life? Boone watched in shock as she took over the sleeping situation and didn’t take no for an answer. Looked like he didn’t have much of a choice. And it didn’t bother him in the slightest. He was afraid if he laid on the floor now, she’d wrestle with him until he was in the bed. He’d had women try to get him in bed but this was a whole new tactic. Truthfully, it was a tactic he liked, a lot. This was a woman he liked a lot too. That was a huge shock to him because he’d never wanted this, to have someone intimately close making decisions and taking over his feelings, changing his emotions.

He told her he’d be right back to which she answered that he better be, and he escaped to the bathroom to brush. Then he shut off the bedroom light, leaving a night light in the hallway shining a small pathway to the bed.

“Are you sure about this Kelsey?”

“Boone, it’ll be fine, get in bed.”

They were both so tired that they’d probably just fall asleep anyway so he wasn’t sure what he was worried about. It wasn’t like she was after sex. She probably hadn’t had a single thought about it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t say the same. After the way she’d kissed him back earlier, he couldn’t help but imagine how it would be with her.

As his feet slid toward the end of the bed, they touched hers and he jumped a little. Didn’t mean to but he didn’t expect to feel her skin either. Got his mind to racing. He probably should have considered sleeping on top of the covers instead but it was too late for that.

“I’m sorry, are my feet cold?” He felt her move them over more on her side.

“No, it’s fine, I can warm them for you if you want.” Without thinking, he rolled to his side and his feet went looking for hers and wrapped around them. He’d always slept like a furnace, not usually needing the comforter that he always covered up with. He had more than enough body heat to keep them both warm all night long.

“I’m not going to lie, that feels so good.” She’d rolled over into his warmth.

Once he was face to face he couldn’t keep his hands from touching her, didn’t matter what speech he gave himself. If she didn’t want him to, she’d surely let him know. She’d been forthcoming with him so far.

“Looks like you need a shave.” Her fingers touched the stubble that had grown since his brother’s arrival yesterday.

“Been one thing after another. I’ll shave tomorrow.”

“Don’t do it on my account, I like it, makes you looks a little dangerous.” She grinned and he wanted to growl.

“Well, maybe I am dangerous. You should probably be careful hanging around me, I could be a bad guy.”

“I doubt that, but I like dangerous so if you are, don’t change.”

“Awe hell, can I kiss you?”

“Thought you’d never ask.” And he didn’t need to be told twice. His hand reached over and grabbed her bottom end, bringing her closer to him as his lips devoured hers in a frenzy of need. Her lips were soft but she knew how to kiss and he loved that she reached the tip of her tongue out in search of his.

Kelsey didn’t have a lot of experience kissing, she was always too busy studying or working and being preached to about behaving for the press so she’d mostly been a loner but she regrets it wholeheartedly if that was what she was missing. Call her the ugly duckling in the fairytales or the frog that never had a prince come and find her. Until this moment.

By now she had both hands wrapped around Boone’s neck and the pillows between the two of them had been thrown from the bed. His hands were roaming up and down her body making her want him more than she’d ever know she wanted anybody.

“Is this okay with you, not going too fast?”

“Totally okay with me but you could go a little faster if you wanted.” She giggled when he grabbed her and rolled over to his back, pulling her with him. When she came up for a breath she had a confession.

“I have to be honest, I’ve never been on top before.” His pupils enlarged and his desire shone through.

“Really? If you wanted, we could probably fix that for you.” Was he being too forward?

“If you promise to be gentle with me?” Boone sat up, moving Kelsey to straddle his thighs.

“Are you sure?” She’d never been surer about committing herself to him. She wasn’t nervous, only anxious.

“Nothing but gentle unless you tell me otherwise. I promise not to overstep my bounds, without your say-so.”

She’d never been daring or a sexual prowess of any kind but he empowered her, made her want to do things she’d only ever dreamed of before. With no further thought, she grabbed the edges of the t-shirt he’d let her borrow and pulled it up and over her head. After her bath, she hadn’t had any clean under garments so his eyes had fixated on her bare chest. He glanced into her eyes and back at her breasts again quickly before he moved both hands to caress them, sucking a nipple into his mouth. Her eyes rolled back into her head, it felt so amazing.

Not once had she ever experienced any of the foreplay she’d read about in her occasional romance books but this she could get used to. Those stories had explained the difference between cookie-cutter sex and long, drawn-out love-making and this was by far already better than the cookie-cutter sex she’d previously experienced. She was mesmerized, caught in a haze until she’d realized he’d stopped and was looking at her.

While she watched, still straddling his thighs, he pulled his t-shirt off, then picked her off his legs and laid her on the bed beside him.

“Can I take these off?” His fingers were hovering at the waist band of the shorts that he’d never be able to wear again without picturing her.

“If I can take off yours?”

He jumped off the bed in a split second, grabbed her ankles and pulled her closer to the edge. “Have at it.”

She’d sat up and scooted closer, touching the top button of his jeans. This new life she’d ventured out on had been full of firsts for her. She’d never had her clothes removed by anyone and she’d never done anything like this either. She unfastened the first and followed down the line with the other four then grabbed his jeans at the pockets and tugged them down over his hips. When they dropped to cover his bare feet, he stepped out and pushed them aside.

Boone reached for her hands and pulled her off the bed to stand in front of him, where he slowly pulled his shorts down her legs, held them at her ankles while she stepped away.

“You leave me speechless, you are just so beautiful and perfect.”

“Not perfect, if you look closer, I’m sure you’ll see the flaws.” She crossed her arms over her chest, nervously guarded.

“If you have flaws, which I doubt, they’re part of you and I’ll take it all.” He dug his fingers into her hair at the nape of her neck, kissing her feverishly, while moving her backward onto the bed.

She climbed onto the bed, scooting herself toward the pillows, Boone followed her. He didn’t give her time to react, he moved in over her, licking up between her breasts and kissing the side of her neck where her heart was beating out of control. After applying protection, he’d moved between her opened legs and entered her warmth in one careful thrust. He covered her gasp with his own as her finger nails dug into the damp skin on his back. She touched his muscles as they tighten across his shoulder blades and feel him pulsing inside her.
