Chapter Five
The rest of the day passes in a blur. I go through the motions but my head is pounding. I can see everything I have planned melting away in a sea of despair. I should have known that he wouldn’t leave me to my own devices for two weeks. I never thought he would loan me out to that arrogant creep Grady though. The bile rises in my throat at the mere thought of him. The meaning was crystal clear. Grady is going to take Scott’s place for the next two weeks and there's not a thing I can do about it.
6pm comes and Didi packs up her things. I don’t miss the worried look she throws my way as she raises her eyes.
“You coming, honey?”
Shaking my head, I look at her miserably.
“I have to work late to make up for my late start.”
Didi looks at me angrily.
“Five minutes late, that’s all it was. The man’s a monster.”
I bite my lip to contain the tears threatening to fill my eyes. I just shrug.
“It’s fine. I need to finish the Jefferson file off, anyway.”
Didi looks concerned.
“Listen, Amelia. Say no if you want but I am having a get-together tomorrow night. Nothing fancy, just me, Tony and a few friends.”
She winks and says lightly.
“A few of them are single and really hot. You never know, you may fancy one of them.”
Before I can answer we hear a terse voice say,
“Amelia, in my office now.”
I smile at Didi apologetically and head inside.
Almost before the door closes, he is on me. He pushes me against the wall of his office-hard.
Kicking my legs apart he pushes my top up over my breasts. He bites them hard and then pushes my panties away roughly. In no time at all, he unbuckles his belt and releases his hard-throbbing dick. As he thrusts inside me forcefully, he growls,
“You are mine, Amelia. Nobody else’s. Remember that, whilst I’m away. Grady may have the use of your body but your heart and mind are all mine. There will be no socializing with other men and I expect your loyalty.”
He carries on thrusting gripping my arms and holding me in place. I feel my desire flooding through me as he gives me what I crave so much - Him.
The whole thing is quick, brutal and incredibly hot. This man possesses me in a way that excites the hell out of me.
As he explodes inside me I quickly follow. Our breathing is labored, and the sweat runs down our bodies, merging as one. Then he sinks against me, grabbing hold of me possessively. He says softly.
“You make me lose my mind, Amelia. I can think of nobody but you. Your face and body fill my thoughts every waking hour and the thought of you with another man is killing me inside.”
He draws back and looks into my eyes. I am taken aback with the tenderness that I see and my heart races a little faster.
Stroking the side of my face he whispers,
“I may fuck Shelby but it’s your face I see. Your body I touch and your voice I hear. She may soon have my name but you have my heart. We are two sides of a matching coin. We belong together and you will be the woman I grow old with. You may not bear my children but you will be my only love. When I walk down that aisle it will be your face I see waiting for me. When I pledge my vows, it will be to you. You are mine, Amelia, nobody else’s, not ever. We just need to get through this charade and then our worlds will balance once again.”
My eyes fill with tears as I see the incredible love in his eyes. He means every word, I can see that. He is a victim of his position and is as much a prisoner as I am, in a world that has no parole option. He is right, we are two of a kind. I want this as much as he does, if not more. Reaching up I hold my hand to his face and he clasps his hand to it. I smile and say softly.
“We will get through this, Master. I feel the same as you. I think of you every hour of the day; I crave your touch and feel desolate when you withdraw from me. Seeing you with another fills me with jealousy and my body melts when you honor me with just one look. I am yours, mind, body and soul and will always do whatever you ask. You own me, you have for some time. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.”
Then he kisses me hard and fast. I feel his pain and desperation and something shifts within me. He may control me in every way, but the real power is mine. Despite what I told him a plan is beginning to form in my mind. Only I have the power to end this for both our sakes. I will not let him down.
