Axe: A Steel Paragons MC Novel by Eve R. Hart (36)

Axe

Three years ago, I first laid eyes on the woman of my dreams.

Two years ago, I finally saw the light in her eyes that let me know that she had let go of the past.

One year ago, I told her ‘I do’ with every inch of my soul.

And eight months ago, she told me I was going to have my hands full soon.

And damn if she wasn’t right.

“Breathe, baby, breathe,” I said softly as my hand smoothed over her damp hair.

“Don’t you tell me to breathe. You switch places with me and see how it feels when I tell you to breathe,” she growled as she fought her way through another contraction.

Reagan chuckled on the other side of the bed and I wanted to fucking throw something at her. I shot her a look that let her know she was in no way helping the situation.

“Twins, Axe. Twins!” Allison screamed like I didn’t know that she had been cooking two of them in her stomach this whole time. “Why the fuck did you have to have super sperm?!”

That time I chuckled.

You see, she had her IUD taken out and pretty much, she was pregnant right away. To be fair, we did fuck a lot. A lot! She was a bit overwhelmed and in shock when we found out we were getting two bundles of joy at once instead of one. But I wasn’t. I was happier than a pig in shit. Then again, I wasn’t the one having to carry them.

The pregnancy had been a rollercoaster of emotions—and food cravings. I dealt with it like any happy, in love as fuck man would, I rolled with it. If she wanted hamburgers at two in the morning, I got out of bed and made that shit. If she wanted peanut butter, chocolate, and fried eggs then I made sure she had it in a bowl layered to perfection. And when her back and feet hurt, I massaged her until she was a relaxed, limp mass on the bed. Oh, and how could I forget. When she was horny, which was all the time through the whole thing, I was there to fuck her into satisfaction.

I led such a hard life.

Not really, I loved every minute of it. As long as my woman and my son were happy, then I felt like a damn king.

Neiryn was excited about being a big brother. He helped us decorate the nursery and it was the cutest thing. He even helped me build the cribs. By the time we were done, we were crib building masters.

“Uhhhh!” Allison grunted out with another contraction. “Why do I have to love your cock so much?!”

Damn this woman. I fucking loved the shit outta her!

While I wanted to tell her in no way was I complaining that she did, I knew now wasn’t the best time to say something like that.

“I think it’s time,” the doctor said as she popped up from between Allison’s legs. “When the next contraction hits, get ready to push.”

I still couldn’t believe she opted to do this vaginally. I was damn proud of her, that was for sure.

“My twat is going to be so stretched out after this you aren’t going to want to fuck me anymore.” Now she was almost crying. I knew it was the hormones messing with her and the intensity of the situation.

“Nah, baby. You do remember how big my dick is, right?” I said, trying to go for funny. Though it was true, I wanted to ease any and all of her worries.

“Okay, yeah,” she said as she sniffed.

“Don’t call it a twat. It’s a cunt or a pussy. And more importantly, it’s my cunt,” I said as I smiled down at her.

We talked like we weren’t in a room surrounded by people who didn’t understand our dynamic. I was sure they would have a great story to tell for later.

“Okay,” the doctor said, cutting in. “Ready?”

She had a death grip on my hand as her body started to curl in on itself.

“Push, bitch,” I said as I wrapped my free arm around her back to comfort her.

An hour later, we were sitting in a quiet room, each of us holding one of our perfect bundles.

“Wait,” she said, her voice sounded sleepy. “Which one do I have?”

I chuckled, knowing that it was the stress of giving birth and the drugs that had her turned around. Well, maybe. To be honest, they looked the fucking same.

“Amara,” I replied with a smile as I looked at the cute as fuck baby she was holding in her arms. My eyes shifted back to the little one I had resting against my chest. The only reason I knew I was holding Elyse was that I had put one of her socks on inside out after we had determined who was who. Hey, I was smart. I knew I’d get them confused. Identical. Twins. A man could only keep track of so many things. So, yes, I did the sock thing. And no, I wasn’t going to tell Allison how I knew the difference.

“You’re outnumbered now,” she let out a half-sigh, half-laugh.

“I don’t fuckin’ mind,” I said with a damn face-splitting grin.

There were so many girls. Diesel and Ellie’s girl, Fate. Loch and Reagan’s girl, Madelyn. And now ours, Amara and Elyse. Someone was bound to have a boy soon. I felt bad for Grass because he was the closest in age and also the oldest of all of them. Though he took it like a champ. He looked out for Fate and Madelyn all the time.

I could only imagine what Grass would do when those two girls started dating. I had a feeling he would be worse than their dads.

“Tank,” Allison’s voice called out in a chipper whisper. Her face lit up with a smile and I could tell she was still loopy from the meds. “Come in.”

“Hey, momma. How ya doing?” He asked as he pushed his way into the room and not-so-little any more Grass was hot on his heels. “Sorry, this guy kept buggin’ to come see the little ones.”

Allison laughed, her attitude was much different from the one she’d had just an hour ago. She made being in the delivery room an experience, that was for sure. Wasn’t to say that I didn’t love the fuck out of it. I would take that woman any way I could.

“Congratulations, prez.” Tank said as he firmly gripped my shoulder.

I couldn’t hide the smile even if I wanted to. I could see the happiness for me shining in his eyes and I would have sworn the big fucker was about to cry. God, I loved that guy.

Over the next hour, the brothers and the women filtered in and out of the room. Each of them giving us their congratulations. Tank’s mom, who was watching Neiryn for us while this all went down, came in last. She wanted to give us some time to deal with everyone and get comfortable with the girls.

She had offered to keep him until we got home, but I just couldn’t. I wanted the Lil man to be there because I needed him to know that he was apart of this too. I didn’t want him to think that just because we now had two new additions that meant that he would be pushed to the side.

I had everything a man could ever ask for. I had my club and loyal as fuck brothers. I had a family that was bigger than I could even count. I had an amazing as fuck woman who had as much strength as she did heart. And I had three beautiful kids.

I was one lucky motherfucker.

Some days, I woke up and still couldn’t believe it was all real, but then I would roll over and the proof would be right there beside me in bed.

When I thought back on my life, and the journey it had taken to get here, I was just amazed that we had both found each other.

Oh, and the club was doing amazing. Moon Hill had grown over the last few years.

Reagan and Loch had fixed up the bar and now it was full almost every night with people other than bikers. Though, we did still hang out there quite a bit. Guessed it was a good thing we got along with everyone.

The garage was still up and running and since we were the only place in town that serviced cars, we never were hurting for business.

It seemed that Dane, who finally got his patch a month after we took down Savage, had a real passion for barbecue. He made some mean rubs and sauces. The club helped him open up a BBQ joint in the middle of town and that place took off like wildfire. He had a full staff and was always trying new things. I think that was what the people liked the most. They could get a different taste of something they knew they would love.

The new chapter was thriving. They had the biggest set up of us all, but then again they were in a pretty decent sized city. The docks were ours and things were finally running smoothly down there. For a while, there had been some tension with other syndicates, but that was to be expected. We came in and without meaning to, changed the dynamics between all of them. But it was now back on the upswing.

And just in case you were wondering about Jessica, we still talked every now and then. She had found her place and I was over the moon for her. She left the club a few months after we took down The Devil’s Kings. And you would never believe who her knight in shining armor was. Let me tell you, it was one killer story.

Oh, this isn’t the end.

This is only the fucking beginning!
