Learning from the Big Mistakes: Alexandra Book Three (Van Zant Siblings 4) by Roxy Harte (3)

Chapter Three

Twilight fell, and the first annual MacKenna-Van Zant family reunion was still going strong. The big bonfire was lit in the back field, and another keg was tapped. Alexandra stared into the growing flames, trying not to panic because her newly adopted infant daughter was not with the person she’d left her with or the person she had been passed to. She felt Conor behind her without needing to look over her shoulder. “Gabe found Rowan. She’s with him now, and he’s promised she won’t be out of his arms the rest of the night.”

She dropped her face and exhaled with relief. “Thank you.”

She felt his hand press into her lower back. “My mother thinks I’m absurd. I keep panicking.” She looked up at the violet sky. With the approaching darkness, she’d felt less safe, and keeping Rowan there seemed fraught with danger. All day too many people had passed her between them, and both Alexandra and Karen had lost track of who had the baby more than once.

“She wouldn’t, if she knew the truth.”

Alexandra exhaled. He was right, of course, but her family would never know she’d saved the world from an apocalypse; they would never know how close she’d come to or how many times she’d evaded being killed. She turned to face him. “This gathering will go on all night. I saw Samuel and Simon unloading their instruments from the van.”

“From what I understand, the party is being opened up to the neighbors at eight so there will be no noise complaints. Your fears are not unwarranted. Stop beating yourself up.”

“I could send Rowan away with Karen and a protection detail. We could stay for the music.”

“Is that what you want to do?”

She shook her head and stepped closer, feeling the pull of him, and he stroked her cheek. “I want to leave. Now.”

“Then let’s go home.”

She smiled and caught his hand.

“Is this okay? Are you ready for your family to see our intimacy?” Conor brought her hand to his lips and kissed it.

“No worries; only three of my brothers would have you in their crosshairs if they could, and it would be because you showed them up terribly on the soccer field, not because you’re one of the other men fucking their sister.”

His eyes narrowed. “Their priorities might be a bit off there.”

“Besides, I’m leaning toward half of my siblings watched the sex tape, so I’m fairly certain our hand-holding is relatively benign as an encore.” She smiled slyly. “Unless you’re uncomfortable?”

“I cherish you, mo chroí. I want the world to know how much I love you.”

My heart. She repeated, still not quite believing this could be her life from now on.

When they started walking toward the house, Jonathon left the cluster of sisters-in-law he’d been talking to and flanked her. Meeting Gabe’s gaze and seeing Rowan asleep against his shoulder made her smile as she joined him on the back deck. He leaned down to kiss her cheek, and she turned her face to meet his lips. She was well aware they’d been under the scrutiny of her entire family all night, and several eyebrows rose as she kissed her fiancé while holding the hand of another. “I want to go home.”

“I assumed. It’s getting dark.”

She nodded and released Conor’s hand to go find her mother. It wasn’t hard. There was a heated debate over the grill as to whether the meat was getting too well-done.

“Mom, we’re going to take off. It’s been a wonderful day.”

“You know you’re being silly; that baby is fine here. Nothing is going to happen with this much family around.” Ellen winked. “You just need a higher dose of that antiparanoia pill you take.”

Alexandra forced a smile and agreed, “Perhaps I do.”

Better for her mother to believe she was delusional than to take a chance and allow Rowan to fall in the wrong hands, to be used as a pawn against her.

“The real party is just getting started. Look, the boys set up the dance deck, and Samuel broke out the button box.”

Alexandra looked over her shoulder. Samuel was indeed sitting in a chair with his accordion, and the pull of nostalgia to stay grew harder to ignore. Paul was beside him with his fiddle, and Simon with his guitar. When her brothers started warming up to a familiar tune, she sighed, missing their weekend jams of days long ago.

Aintín, Aintín!” Rebekah came running from the house, carrying Alexandra’s old dance shoes, with several younger cousins at her heels echoing the endearment. “Pleeeeease, Aunt Alexandra!”

Alexandra smiled as Jessica stood laughing and egging them on from the doorway. “Yes, please, Aintín.”

Alexandra pointed at Jessica. Jessica pointed at her feet already clad in dance shoes.

“What’s this?” Conor asked.

Sean-nós,” Gabe replied, hiding his own laughter behind his hand. “Alexandra has just been challenged to a throw-down.”

Alexandra spun on him, eyes widened. “I swear, if you had anything to do with this…”

He shook his head, mouthing, Not me.

Several of her young nieces and nephews were already dancing on the small, mobile dance floor, and the sight flooded her mind with the many hours she’d practiced with her siblings so long before.

Rebekah patiently waited, holding out the shoes.

Alexandra took the black shoes and slid her feet out of the athletic shoes without untying and tucked her feet into her old, hard-soled dance shoes, complaining but also smiling. “This is ridiculous. It’s been years.”

She straightened and motioned for Jessica to take the stage. “Let’s see what you’ve got, old woman.”

Jessica walked into the yard and onto the portable floor. She started moving her arms to the rhythm, and soon her feet were flying.

“Jesus!” Jonathon said softly.

“Aye, Jessica’s amazing,” Gabe commented. “Alexandra always looked up to her older sister and wanted to be as good someday. I hear Jess still dances in Boston sometimes, as a special guest for some of the Irish pubs. She taught for a while as well, until her promotion at work consumed her―”

“It seems you know a lot about the sister,” Conor commented, insinuating much.

“I knew her husband better. Jeremy Williams was killed in the desert.”

Conor bowed his head. “Sorry, mate.”

Gabe shrugged. “He tried to recruit me to the US armed forces. I joined the Irish Army after attending his funeral.”

Alexandra heard their chatter but forced down the emotion trying to surface. Her gaze was glued to her sister’s feet. The slight nod of her head kept time.

Jessica motioned a challenge, and Alexandra sauntered over, pretending to brush the dust off her feet. “Be warned, it’s been a while. I may fall flat on my face.”

Jessica’s feet kept moving as she backed away, and Alexandra stepped into the rhythm, mimicking the steps Jessica had done perfectly and adding on to the sequence. Hoots of approval filled the air.

Alexandra cockily pointed to the floor and repeated the whole arc again faster, backing up for Jessica to step in.

The family crowded closer, clapping and laughing.

Alexandra knelt down and whispered to Rebekah, overhearing Conor ask Gabe, “How long will this go on? This doesn’t seem like a doctor approved activity.”

“I doubt she dances long.”

To keep listening, Alexandra moved closer to her men while keeping her eyes on her sister’s feet. Conor asked, “Should we go ahead and take Rowan to AODH?”

“No, we’ll all go together. We’ll give them a bit longer.”

The next time Alexandra stepped in, she motioned her brothers to slow the beat, and her niece tagged along. Alexandra repeated all the combined steps from Jessica’s additions and then added to the pattern with her own, pausing while Rebekah tried her best and pushed through even after a few small missteps. Loud shouts of encouragement made the teen blush. Alexandra repeated the moves slightly faster and waited to see if Rebekah could keep up. At the same time, Jessica grabbed her son and did the same with him. Pretty soon the challenge became two against two, and in the last set Alexandra pushed Rebekah forward to create her own improv as a challenge directed at Jeremy and quickly stepped out. Alexandra whispered goodbyes to her brothers as they played, and kissed them on their cheeks. Pretty soon she’d offered farewells to everyone. Lastly, she hugged Jessica hard. “Let me know you’re settled into the house, okay?”

“I will. Thank you again for your generosity. You’re really saving our asses. I had visions of living in the back of a beat-up van.”

Her mother continued to protest as Alexandra and entourage piled into the three governmental SUVs. “Love you, Mom. Have fun, but not too much fun. I expect to see you at the pub in the morning!”

She insisted the four of them press into one seat for the ride home. Her head rested against Gabe’s chest. Conor sat beside her, and she held his hand with one and reached across Gabe’s lap to hold Jonathon’s hand with the other.

Jonathon whispered, “That was some crazy step dancing. I’m impressed.”

“It’s been a long time.”

“Still impressive. Maybe you’ll dance with me sometime? I was severely missing home tonight. Seeing your family—” His voice cracked. “Thank you for bringing me.”

She squeezed his hand. “I will gladly dance with you anytime.”

She’d been so tightly strung going in—expecting the worst, not knowing what the worst could possibly be, as far as family reunions went. The mostly uneventful day had been anticlimactic. So much worry beforehand about how her appearance with her three men and an armed contingent would go over in the small suburb, and nothing—no reaction from her family whatsoever, aside from some sibling ribbing.

Did her family believe she was so deep in the abyss she was hopeless?

Was that “the worst” she’d feared?

Her family had never understood her, so how would they ever understand that in the company of Gabe, Conor, and Jonathon, she felt happier, saner, and more content than ever before? Her brain was finding more and more moments of calm, whereas previously there’d only been chaos.

She stayed silent for the drive back to the pub and looked over her shoulder often to watch the SUV following. Karen and Rowan would turn off soon and head to AODH, but she kept wondering if she’d done what was best for Rowan by adopting her. She realized her best friend Siobhan had chosen her as Rowan’s godmother for some good reason in her own mind, but for the life of her―Why?

“She’ll be fine,” Gabe reassured her as the SUV behind them exited.

“What life am I offering her?” she whispered, believing she’d not spoken loudly enough to be heard. Alexandra closed her eyes and returned her head to his shoulder. “How is it Grace and Captain Fields were removed from their posts while I was sick?”

“You are giving Rowan the absolute best life.” Gabe kissed the top of her head.

Right. When Siobhan chose me as her godmother, I’m sure she envisioned me keeping her hidden in a bunker to protect her from kidnappers while I try to outsmart the hit men sent to kill me.”

“She knew you. She knew the lioness in your heart would protect her child no matter what,” Conor whispered. “She knew you would love Rowan as your own because you only know one way to love.”

Alexandra inhaled a shaky breath, glad her men believed in her.

Jonathon leaned forward to look at her over Gabe’s chest. He was cast in night shadow, so only his profile and the slightest glint of light reflected in his eyes were visible. He met her gaze and barely shielded his hand as he pointed to Gabe. “As for Grace and Captain Field’s reassignments, those came straight from the top.”

“Straight from the top? What?” she wrinkled her brow, not understanding.

Gabe exhaled heavily. “I called an old friend and reminded him of old times, then let it slip that all was not happy in the Van Zant household, and the fault stemmed directly from Alexandra’s mistrust of her daughter’s protectors. We agreed that was a situation, which needed to be remedied sooner rather than later.”

“An old friend?” More confused than ever, Alexandra shook her head. All she’d been told was that currently only Karen was charged with keeping Rowan safe until the dream-house fortress construction was complete. She trusted Karen. She’d be able to sleep at night. In the meantime, Karen, her nutritionist/life coach/personal assistant, now also nanny, was given assurances by Gabe that they would find an acceptable nanny replacement soon. That worry would have to get in line for another day.

Gabe squeezed her thigh and whispered, “You’re quiet, are you okay?”

She nodded, but the truth was she felt weighed under after seeing siblings she hadn’t seen in years. Notably, Brian and his husband, Hawk, had been absent. As had Liam and Julian.

So many memories had flooded back from her childhood. Who they’d been clashed with who they’d become, and seeing their children, her nieces and nephews—either mostly grown after she’d not seen them since they were toddlers, or so young she’d not yet met them—left her feeling empty for something she’d never had. She couldn’t wrap her head around all she’d missed out on, not just the years but the experiences, the losses, the gains.

Her twin, Alexander…

She’d been overwhelmed with loss even though he stood right in front of her.

The boy he’d been was gone, and the man he’d become warred against societal norms and was failing every relationship he was in, alienated from both wife and daughters. She realized how much she and he resembled each other, and now they both stood at crossroads. She feared he’d be lost forever, but she had no intention of going back to who she’d been.

Only weeks ago.

It seemed a different lifetime.

She wouldn’t go back…even though she felt the familiar inward pull straining her mind. She couldn’t allow herself to fall back on her safety net of going inward every time her thoughts became clouded by the plethora of emotions overwhelming her.

I can do this, right?

Seeing Alex as he was terrified her. He was a shell of the man she’d once known. Did others see her as empty?

No wonder her entire family was being uncharacteristically without opinion about her life choices. They were terrified she’d again become the husk of a person she’d been before, as Alex was now. He was so lost. He’d ripped her to shreds by standing before her, not saying a single word. A tear slid down her cheek, and she refused to let go of either Jonathon’s or Conor’s hand to wipe it away.

Her sister Jessica, a decade later, was still a shadow of her former self after losing Jeremy to the war in the desert. Alexandra gave her kudos for raising her daughter and son alone. Jessica suspected Jeremy Jr. of being like Alexandra. She’d adamantly refused to have him tested, revealing she’d allowed him to be listed as a problem student in the public school system. He’d exhibited early on as slightly autistic, being both unsocial and uncooperative, but he also came with a host of issues, including ADD and OCD. No labels would be applied because she couldn’t risk the words savant or genius coming into the conversation. Jessica explained she’d done everything she could to save him from the life Alexandra had had.

Wow! Hard to hear. Was her life so horrible? It was all she knew, so there was no comparison.

And Jake, God, what was he thinking?

Dating the daughter of Ronald Smyth seemed insane, assuming anyone would ever be good enough for Alyssa in her father’s mind. Alexandra would be lying to herself if she said she wasn’t concerned about how Alyssa’s gradual health decline would impact Jake, but love triumphed over all, right?

The SUV pulled into the back alley behind Cronies Irish Pub. Looking up to meet Gabe’s gaze, she held tighter to Jonathon’s and Conor’s hands.

Gabe asked softly, wiping the damp streak from her cheek, “What do you need?”

She loved that he knew her well enough not to ask her if she was okay, because what a ridiculous question it would be when the thoughts warring in her mind ranged over wondering when the next assassin hunting her would arrive, knowing the world could face another bioterrorism disaster at any moment, having no clue how to raise a baby, the angst of ten siblings all at war with their own demons, and the fear of knowing her twin was dangling over the abyss’ edge.

“Don’t let me disappear again.” Her heart was racing, and tears filled her eyes.

Gabe caught her face in his hands and pressed his forehead to hers.

“Whoa, what brought this on?” He wiped tears from her cheeks.

She released Conor’s and Jonathon’s hands and placed her hands over Gabe’s. She whispered, “Alex—” but she couldn’t finish the sentence.

Hitching his chin and meeting Conor’s gaze, he said, “Give us a minute.”

Conor and Jonathon exited the vehicle.

Alexandra squeezed Gabe’s hands tighter to her face as he whispered, “I see you.”

She relaxed, shoulders slumping with the relief of his reassurance. “I can’t run from life again, no matter what happens.”

“I will always be here to pull you back.” He kissed her cheek and started to leave the vehicle, but Alexandra held him a moment longer.

“Wait.” She lifted her face and kissed him softly. “I don’t want to fight anymore.”

“Our hands were tied. If we hadn’t been able to keep you in bed, the doctor was more than willing to have you admitted on a seventy-two-hour psych hold.”

“I know. I’m sorry I got so mad.”

He ran a single finger from the middle of her forehead down her nose to her chin. “I knew when I fell in love with a child of Aodh, I risked the flames of your fury now and again. The heat of your passion makes it all worth it.”

“Yeah?”

“Definitely.”

She kissed him.

“It was a good day, but I know it was also overwhelming.”

“Yes-s.” She exhaled the word, not knowing what else to say. She turned to exit the car, but Gabe molded to her back and wrapped his arms around her middle, hugging her to him. She finally whispered, “I’m lost. I’ve always played the game a dozen moves ahead, and now―”

He squeezed her. “We’ve got you. We will love you and protect you no matter what comes next. Do you believe me?”

“I believe everything you tell me,” she answered. “Do you know my next move?”

He kissed her shoulder. “No, sorry.”

“You’re the only one who knows the truth of the challenge I’ve been issued. In the next few weeks, I have to step completely out of my comfort zone into unfamiliar roles, and I have no idea what I’m doing.” She turned and stroked his face, whispering again, “Don’t let me disappear.”

“Not letting you out of my sight. If you start to fade, I will jerk you back so fast your brain won’t have time to process what happened.”

Softly chuckling, she opened the door.

Conor was standing next to the vehicle and offered her his hand. Taking it, she stepped from the SUV. She turned into him and pressed her hands to his chest to meet his gaze. She pressed her nose against his neck and inhaled his scent, grounding on Conor. Alexandra didn’t think her therapist had been talking about a man when she’d taught her how to reconnect with the physical world if she felt herself struggling. The thought brought a small smile to her lips. She kissed him softly before asking, “Get the whiskey and glasses and meet us upstairs?”

He met her gaze and stroked her cheek with his thumb, and she pushed her face into his hand and kissed his palm. He winked, making her smile. How could she want him so desperately? She hoped he knew. She hoped he could feel the pull of her as strongly as she felt the pull of him. He waited by her side until Gabe too slid from the car and wrapped his arm around her waist. Conor kissed her temple, saying, “I’ll be right up,” before leaving her to go into the pub.

Gabe pulled her into his arms and hugged her. “He’s coming up?”

“I’m being dragged under by too many emotions I can’t even name. Would it be okay if all of you made love to me tonight?”

“Of course.” He scooped her into his arms and carried her through the door Jonathon was holding open. With her in his arms, Gabe kissed her as he climbed the stairs to their bedroom. He laid her on the bed and dimmed the lights to low, casting the room in shadows. He pulled his shirt over his head. “Just gonna shower. We all played pretty hard today.”

“Not necessary. Really.” Alexandra pulled her two shirts off at once and reached for him. “I like the way you smell. It makes me pretty hot for you.”

“Oh yeah?” he asked, pressing his lips to hers for a soft kiss before sitting on the edge of a chair across from the bed to bend over to untie his shoes.

“Thank you for not making a fuss when I danced with Jessica.”

Gabe smiled at her and pushed her hair behind her ear, “I haven’t seen you smile so wide in years. Being with Jessica made a difference in you today.”

She thought about it and realized she’d felt lighter, freer than she’d felt in years from the moment Jessica arrived. “Today was a good day. I gave her a house, did she tell you?”

“Your mom did.”

Alexandra nodded, not even trying to imagine what her mom thought. She changed the subject quickly, “Bet you’re glad I told you guys to change into athletic shoes.”

“Definitely. I’d forgotten how competitive your family is, and you—you weren’t supposed to be on the field at all. Jesus, how do you run that fast?”

“Lots of practice running away.” She laughed, though the answer was painfully true. “I was only in for a few minutes, long enough for Alex to take a leak.”

“Thank god for that, we’d have lost for certain with you in the whole game.”

She made a sound of agreement. “You will all be sore tomorrow.”

“It was nice to see Alex. I’ve missed him.” Gabe smiled. “He can still kick a soccer ball around a field with some skill.”

She left the bed and pressed her fingers to his lips, silencing him. “I can’t think about Alex right now. He’s hurting too much, and I feel all of it too deeply.”

Gabe caught her hand and sucked each finger into his mouth one by one. Standing, he walked her backward to the bed, and she rubbed her face against his bare chest, inhaling his scent. She bit his pec hard enough to make him moan softly before pushing her face toward his. She kissed him while he was still sucking on a finger.

She slid her stretchy yoga pants to her ankles and slipped off one shoe, but he pushed her down onto the mattress to remove her shoes and socks, then pulled the yoga pants free, leaving her in just her bra and panties.

She started to unhook her bra, but Gabe stopped her. “Wait. Let us.”

Alexandra turned her head to see Conor entering, already naked, his hair and shoulders damp. She frowned. “You’re wet.”

He winked. “There’s a full bathroom in the basement. I grabbed a quick shower. Jonathon will be here in a bit.”

Alexandra caught the heavy scent of his expensive body wash or shampoo in the air. It was the scent he always wore, a combination of dark, sensual, spicy and woody notes. Conor set the whiskey and tumblers on the nightstand. “The glasses are more efficient than shots, and it seemed more like a three-finger-pour night.”

“Oh yeah?” She accepted the first pour from him and took a long swallow, meeting Gabe’s gaze. He stood and removed his pants. She said with thick innuendo, “Did you hear? Three fingers? I like three-finger nights.”

Gabe chuckled as he undressed. “Maybe we go for four tonight?”

She laughed and wiggled her finger to draw him nearer. He bent and kissed her. She went up on her toes to wrap her arms around his neck. He kissed her collarbone, and she dropped her head back so he could kiss the length of her neck, and sighed when he did so.

She whispered, “Four might be too many.”

“Four seems perfect.” Conor kissed her mouth.

Jonathon entered, and he was naked and wet as well. “I’ve definitely missed too much of this conversation. Are we all invited to this party?”

“Everyone is invited,” Alexandra answered as she accepted another deep pour from Conor and took several swallows before Conor lifted her and carried her to the bed, where Gabe sat, already reclined against several pillows propped at the headboard. Gabe pulled her to his chest, and Alexandra, sitting between his spread legs, drew her knees to her chest. “Hey! No spills. Yay, me!”

Alexandra took another long sip before offering Gabe a sip, but he lifted his own tumbler, and they clinked glasses and drank. He started kissing her neck.

Jonathon crawled onto the bed and met Alexandra’s gaze as he placed his hands on her knees. “I want to taste you, okay?”

Her lips parted, and she didn’t resist as he slid his hands down her thighs to catch the elastic of her panties. He slowly pulled them off, and she studied his face as he watched the reveal of the auburn curls covering her hidden softness. She could feel herself growing wetter as he drew the panties down her legs, his fingertips dragging gently along her skin. He lifted her panties and sniffed them before folding them and laying them aside.

Alexandra looked away, blushing.

“You smell so good. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about,” Jonathon whispered as he bent her knees back the way she had them tucked. He ran his hand over her hip and just under her bottom, far enough to slide his fingers along her wet slit. He drew his hand back out and took his fingers to his mouth, tasting her.

“You are a very literal man, Mr. O’Donnell.”

He smiled, and she looked into his blue, blue eyes surrounded by long, thick, dark lashes. His eyes were absolutely mesmerizing. He leaned over her knees to kiss her gently. She could smell her own scent on his mouth. His lips brushed hers softly, teasingly. His tongue dipped into her mouth to dance with hers playfully. He caught her bottom lip with his teeth and tugged lightly before the kiss ended.

Jonathon slowly pushed her knees apart. “I would like to pleasure you with my mouth. Would you like that too?”

She whispered, “Yes, please,” and she realized she was trembling with the thought of having his lips tease her clit.

Gabe rubbed his hands over her breasts and bit down on her neck. Her mouth dropped open as she experienced a moment of pure pleasure and pain. She rocked her hips against his erection, and he bit again, just a little harder. She whispered, “Fuck.”

Jonathon slid his hands down the insides of her thighs.

Conor crawled onto the bed and settled, taking Alexandra’s glass from her as her hold on it became precarious.

Jonathon drew his fingers through her soft red curls as he separated her folds to expose her clit. “Mmm, there it is. You are so beautiful.”

She giggled.

Gabe tilted her chin to claim her mouth as Jonathon went down and started tenderly licking her clit. Alexandra ran her hand through Jonathon’s hair, encouraging him to be rougher, but he adamantly refused. She cried out in frustration, but Gabe caught the sound in his mouth.

She moved her hips forward and back, trying to enjoy Jonathon’s touch. Her body responded to him quickly, and she moaned into Gabe’s mouth before tearing her mouth away to demand, “Please, Jonathon, just a little harder.”

He shook his head.

She closed her eyes and pressed her head against Gabe’s shoulder. He whispered, “Relax and enjoy his gentleness.”

Gabe started to twist and tweak her nipples, and the sensation was incredible, shooting a hungry need straight to her groin.

She didn’t open her eyes when Conor kissed her. She knew it was him as he teased her lips and tongue with his teeth. She moaned again, rocking her hips.

When Conor released her mouth, he asked, “What do you need, Alexandra?”

She opened her eyes. “More.”

“More isn’t something we can do. Tell me something specific.”

“Finger me?”

He glanced down at Jonathon’s head between her legs before giving her a skeptical look.

“You can physically pick him up and move him if you want to,” she encouraged.

He laughed. “You really are an impatient little thing. Relax. Enjoy his mouth.”

Gabe stroked her face and kissed her cheek before sliding both hands under her ass to lift her a little higher, forcing Jonathon to adjust his position, which was great because for a moment the soft torture had become a bit more intense…but then it was gentle again, and Alexandra shrieked, making her annoyance known. Gabe continued to hold her ass in one hand, but his other hand started drawing some of her moisture to her ass.

“Yes, yes, yes.”

Conor was suddenly there, straddling Jonathon to slide his hands under her armpits to hold her aloft while Gabe angled his penis toward her anus. “Sit, Alexandra.”

She met Conor’s gaze. She’d never been filled this way and was consumed by uncertainty.

“Relax and feel yourself opening for him as you go down.” He started to lower her. “Keep your eyes on me.”

She felt Gabe’s tip entering, and she exhaled in a whisper, “Okay, okay.”

He went deeper, and she cried out. Conor grabbed her jaw and kissed her hard as Gabe filled her completely. Jonathon sucked her clit, drawing it into his mouth.

Oh God. She held on to the intensity of Conor’s gaze. She rocked her hips, beginning to feel the swirls of the vortex.

Conor pulled his lips from hers, and as he moved farther away, she reached for him and then dropped her hands. Being unable to touch him was slightly devastating.

She watched him cross the room to his whiskey tumbler. He smiled smugly before taking a drink.

Fuck it!

She started to grab Jonathon’s hair, planning to force him to do what she wanted, but Gabe grabbed her biceps, holding her back. He whispered in her ear, “Let him give you this. I promise the wait will be worth it.”

I highly doubt that.

She struggled only a little more, but then closed her eyes and focused on rocking on Gabe’s cock.

She startled when Conor returned, and his mouth closed over one nipple while his fingers twisted and pulled her other nipple. He pinched and pulled with the same rhythm he was sucking her other nipple, the same rhythm Jonathon was using on her clit.

Her blood seemed to pulsing to the same beat…and the vortex was still forming, just out of reach, but she could feel it gathering strength. She stopped rocking her hips and surrendered to the sensation Jonathon and Conor were pulling through her.

Gabe grabbed her hips and started to lift her up and push her down.

The vortex caught her and threw her aloft, making her cry out, and in that moment Jonathon finally gave her what she’d needed all along.

Conor pressed his forehead to hers. “Look at me, mo chroí.” He smiled. “Enjoy us. Always trust us to give you what you need.”

She held his gaze as the first wave of orgasm washed over her, and another.
