The Things We Lost: An M/M Omegaverse Mpreg Romance by Eva Leon (5)

Chapter 5

Kilo

The key clicked in the lock of the graphics shop and the door swung open with its usual ease. Kilo didn’t even notice the ringing of the bell over the door as he stepped into the cool interior. His thoughts were still replaying the encounter he’d had with Jules.

There was a soft grin on his lips as he went about the routine of opening the shop back up again. It had been a very long time since he’d been with anyone at all, and for the last few months of his relationship with Dez, the Omega had been too cranky and irritable to be very intimate. At the time, he’d resented it a little, but now he felt guilty for even trying. He’d pushed Dez so hard about getting pregnant and having a baby together.

He’d been so worried about Jules and how fast everything was moving. He didn’t want to make the same mistake again. Even though Jules seemed perfectly happy with the way things were between them, Kilo still felt like their relationship was racing along far too quickly. Despite that, he couldn’t deny his attraction and, try as he might, he couldn’t bring himself to slow down either.

Even now, his thoughts were on Jules. He hadn’t wanted to leave the cookie shop. He had wanted to bask in the glow of their sex for just a little while longer. To try and explore the depth of their emotional connection a little more thoroughly before returning to the real world.

But he had a client stopping by to pick up an order later today and he couldn’t afford to be late.

So back to reality it was.

The familiar jingle of his cell phone ringtone drifted up from his pocket as he headed back to check on the printers. He took one look at the caller ID and smiled softly. At least they’d remembered to exchange phone numbers.

He answered the call. “Back for more already?” he asked, grinning from ear to ear. He gingerly balanced the phone between his ear and shoulder as he lifted a newly printed promotional poster from the printer tray.

“Oh, well...” Jules sounded like he was blushing heavily. “I just wanted to know if you’d like to go to a concert with me tonight. I’ve got some tickets that Jasper gave me. He was gonna go with his Alpha, but I guess the baby is giving him a bad time lately.”

“A concert, huh?” Kilo smiled softly and looked up at the clock on the wall by the door. “What kind of concert?”

“I think it’s some local band. I’ve never heard of them before. I know that doesn’t sound very interesting, but it might be fun.” A soft whirring sound started up in the background of Jules’s call.

“Are you mixing up more cookies?” asked Kilo, laying the poster out on the countertop.

“Well, yeah. Someone bought all of my nana’s killer cookies. They’re pretty popular so I’ve got to put some more out.” Jules laughed a little as he spoke.

“That jerk; he should’ve saved some for everyone else,” teased Kilo. He had already taken the box of cookies back home and stashed them safely in the kitchen. Mr. Cairns had a gardening club that he went to during the weekdays, so he wouldn’t get his birthday gift until later that evening.

“Well then,” continued Kilo, with a playful tone in his voice, “I might be able to make time to go to a concert with my new favorite Omega, if he promises to bring some cookies to share.”

“Uh-uh. You’re gonna get fat if you eat too many of these,” warned Jules. “Besides, I might start to worry you’re only spending time with me because of my cookies.”

Kilo straightened slightly. His expression suddenly serious, despite the fact that no one was around to see him. “My dear Jules, there’s no danger of that. The moment you walked into my shop for the first time, I knew I wanted to get to know you better. Cookies or no, you and I are going to see where this relationship goes.”

The front door of the shop opened before either of them could say anything else. Kilo glanced up.

“I’ve gotta go now. I’ve got a customer,” he said, quickly. “Why don’t you text me the details for the concert and I’ll come pick you up after work, okay?”

“Yeah, sounds good,” said Jules, in a slightly bewildered tone.

As Kilo hung up the phone, he caught himself wondering if maybe he’d come on a little strong. Hopefully he hadn’t said anything to scare Jules off.

Turning to focus on his customer, Kilo caught himself glancing towards the clock and counting just how many minutes were left until he could see the Omega again.

***

Kilo had never really considered himself the type of guy to go to concerts. That had always been more Dez’s thing. Then again, he’d never actually been to a concert quite like this before.

The venue was a small theater deep in the heart of the historic district. The band was a local group of experimental musicians that used everyday objects to create melodies. A blender, some pots and pans, a trash can, and a few other items were being wielded with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, their attempt to create a captivating piece of performance art fell shy of the mark and left Kilo feeling more confused than anything else.

He and Jules were seated near the back of the small auditorium, which, at about fifty attendees, was nearly full. Judging by the rapt attention and raucous applause, Kilo’s perception of the performance was in the minority.

“They’re not really that good, are they?” Jules whispered after what seemed like the tenth “song.”

Kilo glanced sidelong at him. The darkened interior of the theater was still light enough that he could make out every detail of the Omega’s face. His heart skipped as he remembered the taste of those sensual lips and his cock began to stir. He cleared his throat and shifted slightly in his seat. Getting his body’s reaction under control was proving more difficult than he had expected. He was out of practice, and the enticing scent, not to mention the proximity, of his companion was making it difficult for him to maintain his composure.

“I mean, I saw something similar once. Brooms and trashcans, lots of movement on stage. It was really well choreographed,” Jules continued, ignoring Kilo’s lack of response. “This kinda just feels like a cheap imitation of that.” He looked to Kilo, clearly expecting to hear his opinion.

“The audience doesn’t seem to mind,” Kilo managed at last. The most recent song had garnered an extremely high-spirited reaction from the other audience members. Several whistles and whoops of approval echoed through the small room.

“Because nothing like this ever comes anywhere near this town,” said Jules, shaking his head in disappointment. “It’s so different from the other performances we get here, which are all pretty standard, that they’re just gobbling it up.”

“Will you keep it down?” an angry-looking woman asked, half turning in her seat to look back at them. “If you don’t like it, then leave. The rest of us are trying to enjoy the show.” She glared at them for a moment before turning back in her seat to watch the performance.

Kilo looked back at Jules and found the Omega silently snickering behind his hand.

“Come on,” Kilo whispered. “Why don’t we go get something to eat?”

Jules nodded in agreement and they quickly made their escape out into the lobby.

The lobby was quiet, with only a few of the theater staff milling around. Posters featuring tonight’s performance lined the walls and made the entire affair look so much grander than it actually was.

“That was so awful,” said Jules with a laugh as soon as they were clear of the auditorium. “Please, tell me I’m not the only one who thought that.”

“I dunno. I thought there was an artfulness to it,” said Kilo, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “They seemed to be pushing the envelope of what’s deemed socially acceptable in the performing arts sphere. I believe that, while their rhythms weren’t quite musical by today’s standards, the very act of putting those sounds together in an attempt to entertain should be considered almost operatic, and thus, a success.”

Jules blinked and let his arms fall limply to his sides as he stared at Kilo. “W-what are you even saying?” he asked, shaking his head slowly. “Was that even English?” He stepped slowly towards Kilo, examining his face for a moment before breaking into a grin. “You shouldn’t tease me like that,” he protested, playfully punching Kilo’s shoulder.

A soft smile touched Kilo’s lips as he caught hold of Jules’s hand and pulled him close. “I like seeing you smile,” he said, as he curled an arm around the Omega’s torso, “and hearing you laugh.” He placed a gentle kiss against Jules’s forehead. “The band was awful, but I don’t think there’s anyone else I would like to see an awful band with.”

“Thanks, I think,” Jules chuckled. “We should probably get out of here. People are staring,” he said, blushing slightly as one of the theater staff stopped to look at them.

“Let them stare,” breathed Kilo, ducking his head forward and claiming Jules’s lips with his own. The Omega’s mouth opened willingly to him and heat poured into him like a cascade. He knew, given his body’s unpredictable reactions, that he was playing a dangerous game. There were few things more embarrassing than being visibly erect while in public. However, he hadn’t been able to resist. The allure of Jules’s lips had left his mouth watering with desire. He couldn’t have possibly resisted.

They broke the kiss with breathless enthusiasm. Kilo could see his own need reflected in Jules’s eyes. They needed to get out of here.

Kilo glanced around the theater lobby. There was nowhere they could really go. Nowhere private enough. Driving all the way back to Jules’s house would take too long. Going back to his house, where Mr. Cairns was babysitting India, wasn’t an option. There was only one real solution.

He caught hold of Jules’s hand and led the Omega outside. The early evening twilight had already settled over the town. The air was warm, but not hot. Crickets chirped from the bushes nearby, streetlights illuminated the sidewalks, and a few cars ambled along the quiet street.

He’d parked on the street, not far from the theater entrance. As soon as he caught sight of the car, he released Jules’s hand and began digging in his pocket for the keys. When he found them, he looked back at Jules with a broad grin on his face. The Omega’s face lit up. He seemed to understand the situation now and eagerly jogged the last few feet to the car.

They were on the road in record time as Kilo quickly skimmed through his mental atlas of the town, trying to come up with a private place they could go. Unfortunately, there were still a lot of places he’d never bothered to go before, and his knowledge of the area was incomplete.

“Turn left here,” instructed Jules, jamming his finger towards the windshield to indicate the correct street.

Kilo didn’t hesitate to obey. Street by street, Jules directed him through the city until they reached a secluded park near the edge of town.

“This place is really popular during the summer,” Jules explained, directing Kilo deeper into the parking lot. “There’s a big lake on the other side of the trees, but it’s closed this time of year. No one comes here after dark really. The cops don’t bother patrolling it either, unless they get reports of rowdy kids or fireworks or something.”

Kilo felt his heart race as he maneuvered the car into a parking spot that was obscured from the entrance by several large bushes and trees.

“The bums and junkies don’t like coming here because of the raccoons. They get into everything at night and cause a lot of mischief. There was a big news story a while back about some junkies getting bitten by an angry mother raccoon. It was a big ordeal,” continued Jules, glancing out the window at the darkened surroundings. “Apparently the story was enough to keep the rest of them away.”

As Kilo switched off the car, he let his hands fall into his lap. The urgency and fire in his blood had cooled slightly. He still wanted it, desperately, but he’d never done anything quite this bold before. Even if the park was completely secluded and there was no chance of them being caught, it was still a completely new experience to him. He felt as nervous as a virgin on prom night.

“You should slide your seat back a bit,” instructed Jules. “Otherwise, I’ll hit the steering wheel.” He leaned forward and began digging through the bag he’d brought with him. He’d left it in the car when they’d gotten to the theater. When asked what was inside, he’d been vague and stated it was a treat for later. Kilo had assumed it had been full of cookies or something similar. Now, however, he was beginning to doubt that assessment.

“Jules...” Kilo’s voice trailed off as he finished snapping his seat into place. “I...I’ve never done this before. Like this...” He felt awkward admitting something like that. He was supposed to be the Alpha, the one taking charge of their relationship. He’d always prided himself on his sexual prowess and his ability to leave his partners feeling satisfied. Now, however, he was beginning to doubt his ability to perform in these cramped conditions.

“Don’t worry,” Jules reassured him, leaning across the seat and kissing his lips gently. “I’ll do all the work,” he breathed. “This is my treat to you.”

Kilo still felt like a bundle of nerves, but Jules’s confidence reassured him a little. The way the Omega spoke stoked the dying embers of his arousal, and desire flared up within Kilo once more.

“Now I’m going to need you to slide your pants down a bit,” instructed Jules, his hand straying across Kilo’s thigh. “You need to get this out for me, okay?” His slender, but strong hands caressed Kilo’s growing erection through his slacks. His teasing touches coaxed Kilo’s cock, encouraging it to grow more quickly.

Kilo moaned beneath Jules’s touch. The Omega’s hand squeezed his stiffening cock as he leaned across the gap between their seats and pressed his lips to Kilo’s neck.

“You’re far too good at this,” Kilo purred in Jules’s ear. His fingers strayed south and began fumbling with his belt buckle as Jules continued to tease and taunt.

“I’m just trying to help. You were looking a little tense.” Jules pressed a series of kisses along Kilo’s jawline before withdrawing back to his own seat.

The momentary break gave Kilo the opportunity he needed to finish sliding his slacks down past his knees. He was exposed now. His cock swaying slightly in the warm air of the car. For a moment, doubt crept over him once more. What was he doing? Having sex in a public place like this could get them both into trouble if they were caught. What about India? He had a daughter to think about; he couldn’t afford to be taking risks like this.

A flash of bare skin caught his attention and he looked to his right, where Jules had already stripped away his pants and unbuttoned his shirt. His skin was almost luminous in the dark, and the mere sight of him stole Kilo’s breath away. His worries were silenced, if only momentarily.

“Here,” said Jules, passing a small bottle to Kilo. “I brought it along, just in case. One of the ‘treats’ I told you about.”

Kilo looked down at the bottle of lube and smiled coyly. “So, you planned this all along?” he asked as he opened the lid and deposited some of the sticky liquid into the palm of his hand.

“Not this exactly,” chuckled Jules, crouching on his knees, watching as the Alpha stroked himself. “I just wanted to be prepared if we happened to find ourselves in a situation where we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. Ready?”

“I think...yeah...” said Kilo, nodding slightly as he finished slathering his cock with lube. “What about you?”

“I’ll need your help, if you don’t mind,” said Jules, gingerly climbing across the gap and straddling Kilo’s lap. “I know it’s awkward, but cars weren’t exactly designed for this.” He sat up on his knees, with his hands grasping the headrest behind Kilo. He peered down at the Alpha with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. It was clear that he was enjoying this.

Kilo blindly slid his hands across Jules’s exposed ass, shuddering as he felt the warmth of his smooth skin. He could already imagine his cock sliding deep inside the Omega’s tight little body.

“Here you are...” breathed Kilo, pressing a lube-covered finger gently into Jules’s asshole.

“Ah, mmmm...” Jules murmured wordless grunts of pleasure and sank back onto Kilo’s finger.

“How is it?” asked Kilo, switching the motion slightly as he prepared the Omega to receive him. “Do you like it?”

“It’s...mmm...it’s nice,” breathed Jules. His eyes fluttered closed as he spoke and his body tightened around Kilo’s fingers. “Not as good as your cock though.”

Kilo chuckled. “Kiss me,” he instructed, pressing his lips against Jules’s collarbone.

The Omega obeyed and ducked his head forward. Warmth spread through Kilo’s body once more. He could have lost himself in Jules’s lips, but he forced himself to stay focused. His fingers continued their important task, slowly working to prepare Jules for what was to come.

“How is that?” Kilo asked when their lips finally parted.

“Good; I’m good,” breathed Jules, nodding emphatically. His cock was stiff as a board now and pressed into Kilo’s abdomen as he rode the Alpha’s fingers. His hips bucked and swiveled eagerly, desperate for more. “Can we...?” He let the sentence hang and met Kilo’s gaze with pleading in his eyes.

Without a word, Kilo slipped his fingers out, freeing Jules to do as he pleased.

The Omega didn’t hesitate for a minute. He took hold of Kilo’s cock and shifted his hips into position. Slowly, he lowered himself onto the Alpha’s dick.

The feeling was so much different than before. Kilo was unable to hold back the moan of pleasure that escaped his lips as Jules sank all the way onto his cock. The feeling of the Omega’s tight asshole squeezing his dick left him breathless.

It only took a moment for Jules to adjust. He began rocking his hips. Slowly at first, but steadily increasing as his partner’s grunts and whimpers of enjoyment continued.

Kilo gripped Jules’s hips with his hands and let his eyes fall closed as he lost himself in the new sensations that were washing over him. Just as he thought he’d gotten a handle on the current motion, Jules switched things up and began to bounce up and down, rising up almost entirely off of Kilo’s cock and then letting himself sink back onto the shaft.

Jules’s head tilted back, and he moaned in ecstasy. The feeling was clearly overwhelming his sensitive body, but he kept up the pace with dogged determination. Kilo smiled through the haze of lust and desire that had washed over him. He reached down between them and caught hold of Jules’s dick, gently stroking and teasing it to enhance the Omega’s pleasure.

As Jules began to lose steam, Kilo picked up the slack. Stroking Jules’s cock and thrusting up into the Omega’s asshole with all the intensity he could muster. The sudden change of pace seemed to reinvigorate Jules and he began to match Kilo’s motions. Their bodies were in perfect unison as the windows of the car fogged up around them. Sweat beaded across their bodies, their chests heaved as they panted for breath.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck, Kilo...” grunted Jules with sustained effort as he swiveled his hips and rode the Alpha’s cock with all the ferocity of a bucking bronco. “I’m cumming,” he moaned, “I’m really...really...fuck...I’m cummmmmmiiiinnng.” The explosion of white, sticky cum rocketed from the Omega’s dick all across Kilo’s chest. The warm liquid, the look of satisfaction in Jules’s eyes, and the tone of his voice as he reached his climax all made Kilo’s body tighten.

He pressed towards the climax. His muscles tightened and shuddered as his vision flashed. He grasped Jules’s body, wrapping his arms around the Omega’s torso as he buried his cock in him one last time.

“Jules...fuck...” he breathed as his body released and cum flowed from him into his partner.

They collapsed back against the seat, their bodies entwined as they gasped for breath. Neither of them daring to move lest the spell be broken.

“That...that was more work than I’d anticipated,” Jules said, laughing softly when he finally began to move again.

“I thought I was in better shape,” admitted Kilo, shaking his head slowly. “You really know how to put me through my paces.” He laughed and looked down at the cum smeared across his chest and Jules’s. “We’re going to need to clean up.”

“Don’t worry, I came prepared,” said Jules, laughing as he leaned down and retrieved the bag that he’d gotten the lube out of earlier. He produced a package of wet wipes.

“Geez, mom, thanks,” Kilo teased as he took one of the wipes from Jules and began dabbing at the stain on his shirt.

“Next time I won’t bring anything then,” said Jules with a fake pout.

“No, don’t,” said Kilo, gently pulling Jules to him once more. “I like that you’re prepared for stuff.” He kissed the Omega’s forehead gently. “It makes me think that dating you isn’t such a bad idea after all.” He chuckled.

“Well, good to know I passed the test,” said Jules, sitting up and shaking his head. He grinned and gently punched Kilo in the shoulder. “You really shouldn’t tease me like that. I haven’t had a very good track record with this whole dating thing. You’re probably the only guy I’ve dated that I’ve had sex with more than once.”

“In the same day,” Kilo reminded him with a little laugh. He gently caressed the side of Jules’s face. “Don’t worry. We’re going to take this one day at a time and see where it gets us, okay?”
