Epilogue
8 months later…
I can’t believe it has been eight months since the incident with Rage. I still never found out what happened to him and I don’t ask. I feel like it is better if I don’t know, even though I have a feeling that Buzz killed him. I know he would never hurt me and I trust him with my life.
We have been living together for the past 2 months. It was a no brainer when it came to deciding where to live. I chose his place. My house was filled with too many negative memories. Our home is beautiful and he lets me decorate any way I want.
He is the man that I always dreamed of. Eight months ago I never would have thought I would be where I am today. I have my shop up and running and I am truly happy.
I am at Sweetie Pies today; I hired a manager, Val and a baker’s assistant, Mel to help me out, because business has been picking up like crazy. Some news reporter came by 4 months ago and he wrote a review on Sweetie Pies and ever since we haven’t stopped being busy. Buzz gets mad at me for working too hard but this is my baby, not for long though.
I am standing in my bakery after the lunch time rush and I feel warm hands wrap around my swollen belly. I look down and recognize them as Buzz’s.
“How are my babies doing today?” He asks.
“They are doing good. They are really moving today. They move a lot when you are around.”
“And how is the beautiful love of my life?”
“I am alright, getting tired real quick.”
“Let’s sit, come on.” He leads me to a chair to sit. My feet have been swelling ever since I found out I was pregnant with twins. We are having two little boys and they like to play kickball with my kidneys.
“Thank you.”
“Baby, when are you going to stop work? I spoke with the doctor today and he said it’s time for you to quit working and get off your feet. You are at a sensitive spot in your pregnancy and we want to let those babies bake for as long as we can. I love you and I only want you to feel good.” He is right. I need to stop as my feet are swelling up so bad and being around all this baked goods makes me want to eat all the time.
“I planned on doing it at the end of this week. I already trained Val and Mel to take care of the shop and we aren’t far if anything happens.”
“Good.” His phone rings. “I gotta go, some club business is going on. I need to get back.” I always worry when he gets calls like that. He is their enforcer.
“Alright, I will see you later at home. I love you Buzz.” He kisses me on the forehead before he leaves.
“I love you too my sexy momma baker.” He says as he leaves. He has been extra horny since we found out we were pregnant. Guess my IUD didn’t work because if our doctor’s calculations are right, we got pregnant the first time we had sex.
“See you at home.”
5 hours later…
I arrive home and see Buzz’s bike in the driveway. That’s odd, he never is home when I get here. He usually gets here afterwards.
I open up the garage door and drive my car in. I get out and close the door behind me.
I walk inside and yell out. “Hello? Buzz, are you home?”
“I am in the second guest room.”
I hobble my way over to the guest room. The door is closed. I open up the door.
“Surprise!” He says, walking over to me. The room is decorated in a baby blue, with little motorcycles all over the place.
“You did all this?”
“Yes, I know you were stressing over getting this done and we both have been crazy hectic. I have been planning this for a while. I hope you like it.”
I walk around the room. There are two cribs next to each other, two rocking chairs, two changing tables, toys, diapers, and clothes arranged in the closet.
“This is amazing.” We had a baby shower and I hadn’t had time to put anything away. I start crying.
“Why are you crying? I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you.” He says with a very concerned look on his face.
“It’s not that, I am happy. I am so happy. I can’t wait for our boys to get here and I can’t wait to be with you for the rest of our lives.”
“Speaking of that, I want to ask you something important.”
“Sure what is it?”
“Come with me, I want to show you something first.” He grabs my hands and he leads me out towards the backyard. As soon as we step out I notice a giant heart made of candles burning and there are string lights hanging from the trees that say “Will you marry me?” I turn around towards Buzz and he is down on his knee.
“Oh my gosh.”
“Elizabeth, my love, my hun, my sweet woman, I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else. You brought me out of the deepest shadows and you fill my life with light. I love you so much and I can’t imagine my life without you. Will you do me the honor and be my wife?”
I can’t help but cry again. I nod my head up and down. “Yes. Yes. Yes. Of course.”
He places the ring on my finger and stands up to kiss me. My belly is getting in the way but we kiss. I look down at my ring and it is beautiful.
“How did you plan all of this?”
“Mel called Rock and then he called me to tell me you were on your way. He went out back when you came in and he lit the candles for me. He also took photos and video if you want to see.” At that moment, Rock walks up with a camera.
“Congratulations you two. I have video and pictures I will send ya.” He walks away really fast. He usually hangs around a little but he basically ran off. Kind of odd.
“Thank you.” I yell out.
I can’t believe this. I am going to have my babies with the love of my life who is now my fiancé. Life really is sweet to me.
I can’t help but think of Rock, he looked happy but sad, like he wanted what we have. The guys at the club say he doesn’t mess with club whores. I always wonder if he is gay.
“Can we wait until I get mini Buzz 1 & 2 out before we get married?” I don’t want to be 8 months pregnant and married.
“Anything you want Liz, you and those mini buns are everything to me. I love you now and forever.”
“I love you too Buzz.”
