Buzz (Book 3): Corrupted Saints MC by Kimberly I. Belle (3)

Chapter 3

Buzz

I can’t believe someone broke into her shop, again. I know she is hiding something and she won’t tell me. What I do know is that someone is watching us as we stand in Sweetie Pies. Being in the military has helped me be more in tune with my senses, I know when I am being watched and right now we are being watched and that’s for damn fucking sure. Who knows what they would have done if I hadn’t come with her. Someone is fucking with my girl and I am going to get to the bottom of this. First thing, I need her to understand that I am a friend here to help, even if she doesn’t get the hint that I want her as more than that. I know she wouldn’t want someone broken like me but I will be her best friend if that is all she will have me as.

I can hear her talking on the phone with the police. Those fuckers aren’t going to do anything, they never do. For now, we will do it the way she wants so she feels in control but if they don’t find anything out or protect her, I will, whether she likes it or not.

“Liz, what did the police say?”

“They are going to be here in a few minutes. They said to stay outside and not touch anything. I guess it is a little late for that.” She says as she lifts up a chair.

“Hun, why don’t we go outside and wait for them to come.”

Her shoulders slump a little and she nods her head and walks out. I follow behind her. I look across the street and notice a guy, I can’t make out his face, as he is getting into his car and leaving. I don’t want to worry her but I memorize the last digits of his license plate 3089, I am going to have Rock look into this.

“Buzz, you don’t have to stick around. I know you were having your party at the club and I didn’t mean to drag you into any of this.”

I open my arms up for her to come into a hug. She steps into my arms. “I am not going anywhere, you need a friend right now and that is what I am going to be.” I don’t want to tell her that I won’t leave her alone because some sick fuck was watching us.

“Thanks.” She steps back. I clear a tear and her makeup from her eye.

“No problem hun. I am going to make a quick call. Don’t go no where.”

I get on the phone and call Rock. I pass on the last few digits of the license plate to him, as well as have him look into Liz’s background. I want to know what is going on and everything there is to know about her. I was trying not to do this but I need to know everything about her so I can protect her.

The police finally arrive and Liz leads them into the store. They start taking pictures and they dust a few places for fingerprints but don’t find anything of substance. These fuckers are of no use. We live in a small town, and they don’t know what to do in situations like this. The most action they get every year is when some fuck beats on his wife or gets his dick stuck in a vacuum. The Corrupted Saints police this town more than the actual police. People know, not to start shit. Of course, teenagers do rebel and the regular cops deal with that shit but no one messes with each other like this. I know she isn’t telling the cops or me everything either, I can tell she is holding back more details. I don’t know why, but she is. My gut is telling me that it gets worse.

About 2 hours later, Tank, our Vice President comes by with his girl Sky and a few other guys, Sky and Liz are good friends. The cops are wrapping everything up finally. I walk to where Liz is, inside the shop. She is trying to clean up but it is around 1 a.m. I called a few of the guys and asked them to bring over some wood to board up her window.

“Liz, we are gonna board up your window.” Winger says. Winger and Rock are working on hammering the boards up. Liz and I stick to cleaning up the food mess inside. Some of the other guys are helping out as well.

“”Thanks everyone for helping me. I really appreciate it. I know I haven’t known you guys for that long but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

“Sugar, you don’t need to thank us, you were there helping us when Winger was in the hospital and you helped out my girl, Sky when things were tough.” Tank says as He gives Sky a kiss on the forehead.

I move through her kitchen and office towards the trash, when I notice a pair of panties, on the ground. That’s beyond fucking odd. I know she used to live upstairs; maybe she dropped these by accident. I don’t want to grab them and have her think I am a pervert, so I continue towards the trash and walk back to the main room to grab Liz.

“Liz?”

She is sweeping up the rest of the glass into a large trash can. “Yeah?”

“Can I talk to you for a minute?” I don’t want to alarm her but it is kind of odd that she would leave panties here.

“What’s going on?” She asks, letting out a huge sigh.

“Follow me.” I lead her towards her office. “I think you may have forgotten something in your office. I didn’t want to grab them and you think I was a pervert or something.”

She looks down and her face blanches. She quickly grabs them and put them into her pocket. “Sorry, things get clingy when I do laundry. I thought I had lost these a while back, good to know someone wasn’t raiding my panty drawer.” She laughs nervously and immediately walks away and starts to clean up again. That was fucking weird, I was expecting her to get red and blush, but instead she turned white as a sheet, something’s not right. I immediately follow behind her.

“Liz?” I stand at the doorway.

“Buzz, it is nothing, please just drop it.” I can tell she is getting agitated and nervous. She won’t make eye contact with me. I know this mechanism because I have used it before, she is scared.

“Fine.” I am going to drop it for now, but she will tell me what that was about.

We continue to clean up her bakery well into the morning. Finally, we are able to shut down everything and I drive her home. I have one of the prospects follow in a cage, so I can ride back with them.
