Buzz (Book 3): Corrupted Saints MC by Kimberly I. Belle (6)

Chapter 6

Liz

It’s a new day and I feel like crap. I got home last night and after Buzz left me, I couldn’t go to sleep. I kept feeling like someone was watching me. I don’t want to go to my shop today either, I can’t stand to see how something I worked so hard to create was destroyed. I keep wracking my brain to try and figure out who is tormenting me. I get if this was to happen once, but for this to be the third time something weird has happened is no longer just coincidence. Someone is deliberately trying to hurt me. Sky has been texting me, I just want to be left alone, so I shut my phone off.

2 days later…

I still haven’t moved from my bed, I have been staring at the ceiling for hours. I know I need to contact my insurance company to get my window replaced but I can’t bring myself to do anything. I still don’t want to go to my shop, it seems like I keep picking up the pieces only for it to be destroyed again.

I fall asleep.

4 hours later…

BANG BANG BANG...I am startled awake. What is going on? I feel so discombobulated and off. How long have I been asleep? I look over to my night stand and see that it is now 4 in the afternoon. I keep hearing the banging on my front door. Who could it be? I manage to get myself up and make my way to the front door. I peak through the side window and see Winger. Oh my gosh, why is he here?

“Liz, I know you are in there, I just saw you move the curtain. We just want to make sure you are okay? You weren’t answering your phone. Sky and the Prez’s old lady got worried.” Winger says.

Should I open the door? Why would they send Winger? I must have freaked Buzz out and he ran.       Psssht probably not, nothing scares that man.

“I am fine Winger, I am not exactly dressed for company right now.” I say.

“Girly, I don’t care if you’re naked and covered in flour, I need to see you with my own two eyes.”

“Fine.” I move to open the door. “I know if you really wanted to get into my house you could have.” I open the door wide. “See, I am fine.”

“I can see that. Uh, as much as I love the view, Buzz is gonna kill me for looking. You mind covering yourself up.”

“What are you talking about?” I am about to look down when I hear Buzz.

“Liz, what the fuck are you wearing? Not that I mind but I don’t like others seeing ya like that. Damn!” It’s Buzz and he is adjusting his crotch with his hands.

I finally manage to look down and I don’t have any pants on and my nipples are perked up through a thin shirt I have on. I immediately move to cover myself with my arms.

“Oh my god, I am so embarrassed.” I move behind my door. Buzz and Winger start laughing. “It’s not funny, you guys just got a free peep show.” I leave the door open and run to my bedroom.

I cannot believe I just embarrassed myself like that. I was basically naked. They just saw everything. I never show off my body, I always like to stay modest. I had some issues in the past with men thinking I was disgusting for showing off my body. Ever since then, I have always made sure to cover myself up when I am out in public. I don’t want to offend anyone. My mother used to always make sure I was covered up as well. She didn’t like the fact that she had a fat daughter. I close the door to my bedroom behind me and immediately grab some leggings I had laying on the ground and popped on a sport bra. I also manage to put my hair up in a messy bun. I walk over to the bathroom and my makeup is all smeared from the night before. I never leave the house without makeup. I don’t like people to see me without any.

“Good job Liz, embarrass yourself in front of two gorgeous hot bikers.” I say to myself. I wash my face and smear on some moisturizer. They have already seen me at my worst and I don’t feel like putting on makeup.

I make my way out of the bedroom to find both Winger and Buzz sitting on my couch.

“You feelin’ better darlin?” Buzz asks.

“I am feeling fine. What are you guys doing here?” I ask.

“We came by because you weren’t answering your phone and no one has seen you for a few days. Sky was getting worried and Charlotte, the Prez’s old lady was worried as well.” Winger says.

“Well, I am fine. You guys can go.” I say as I make my way over to the couch opposite them.

“Liz, you are not fine. You look sick.”

“Well, thanks Buzz, I appreciate the compliment.”

“Don’t play with me little girl.” Buzz says.

Winger sensing the tension stands up and moves to the kitchen. “I am going to get something to drink, you guys want anything.” He says.

“No, thank you. Help yourself.” I say.

“I am fine, I just needed some time alone. I needed to feel like I wasn’t being watched or stalked.” Oh shit, I just said too much.

“What did you just say?” Buzz asks sternly.

“Nothing, I said that I was fine and needed time alone.” I say.

“No you didn’t, you said you were being watched.” Winger says from the kitchen as he pops the top of a soda.

“You must be hearing things.” I say, scowling at him.

“Liz, what the fuck do you mean you are being watched?” Buzz says. I can see him getting angry. He doesn’t need to be angry. I don’t belong to him or anyone in his club.

“It’s nothing, you need to leave my house. This has nothing to do with you and I would appreciate the both of you leaving.” I say, raising my voice.

“No.” Buzz says.

“What do you mean no? I just asked you to leave my house.” I say.

“And I said no.” Buzz says.

“We aren’t going anywhere until you tell us.” Winger says.

“I am not telling you anything because there is nothing to tell.” I say.

“Obviously there is otherwise you wouldn’t be so defensive.” Winger says and Buzz just watches me with his arms crossed. Gosh, how can someone look so gorgeous by just sitting. He is wearing a white t-shirt and his muscles are bulging out. His baby blue eyes are staring straight at me too.

I feel defeated. “Fine. I feel like someone is watching me and….” I say.

“And what?” Buzz says this time.

“And the underwear and sex toys wasn’t me.” I say looking down at my hands. When I get nervous I start picking at my fingernails. “There I told you, you can leave now.”

“No. What does that mean?” Buzz asks.

I am frustrated and breakdown. I look straight at him. “It means that I moved out of the bakery because someone broke into my apartment and stole a bunch of my panties. It also means that the panties you found on the floor this last time they broke in, is one of the ones they stole. It also means that the sex toy and underwear you found on my bed weren’t out when I left my house. Someone was in my house and they took that out. They also left a gift on my bedspread.” I say all in one breathe. I want to get away. I didn’t want to say all that, it just makes it all that more real. I don’t break eye contact with Buzz and I can feel Winger shifting on his feet next to us. There is complete silence. No one is saying anything.

“Shit, sweetie that is some fucked up shit.” Winger says breaking the silence.

“Yeah, well now you know and now you can leave me alone.” I say.

“No way in hell. I won’t leave you alone.” Buzz says.

“Yes you will, this doesn’t involve you. It doesn’t involve you in any way, shape or form. This is my problem.” I say.

“That’s where you’re wrong. What did you say they left on your bedspread?” Buzz asks.

“Nothing important, that you need to know.” Buzz not happy with that answer gets up and moves to my bedroom. “Buzz, where do you think you are going?” I say trying to follow him.

Winger follows behind me. “You aren’t telling me something so I am going to find out.” Buzz says from inside my bedroom.

Damn, he moves so fast. He makes it to my bedroom before I can even get up. I bought a new bed spread because I couldn’t fathom sleeping on my bed with someone’s disgusting semen on my bed. I don’t think he will notice my bed spread is new.

“Liz, where is your old bed spread?” Buzz asks.

“How did you even remember my old one?” I say quizzically.

I look behind me and notice Winger is not there anymore. “Where did he go?”

Buzz is moving about my room searching for the bed spread. “You’re not going to find it Buzz. I got rid of it.” I say.

He moves past me towards the front door. I follow behind him. What are these guys doing? They are acting like mad men. I follow him outside. I hear rustling and find Winger pulling my blanket out of the trash. Oh, god.

“Liz, why the fuck would you hide this from me?” Buzz says examining my bed spread.

“Because this has nothing to do with you. I don’t belong to you or your club. I don’t have to tell you anything.” I yell at him. I don’t know why I am yelling at him.

They are both looking all over my bedspread and finally stop on the lower left hand corner. Both of them drop the blanket. I can hear them whispering something to each other but I can’t make out what they are saying.

Buzz is moving up towards me, I feel like his prey. “Liz, that is not nothing. Have you told the police?” He asks.

“Yes, I told them but they said there was nothing they could do, for all they knew I had a man over and it was an accident.” I say.

“The police are a waste of time. You need to tell me when things like this happen.” He says.

“Why? Why would I have to tell you anything? I know how your club works Buzz, unless you are someone’s old lady I won’t get protection and that is never going to happen unless someone in your club magically had a taste for extra meat.”

“That is where you are wrong. Have you seen Sky and Charlotte? They aren’t the smallest women in the world either but they are both beautiful just like you. I don’t understand why you don’t see that? I have been trying for months to restrain myself around you because I don’t want to dump my problems on you but I don’t want to stay away anymore. If you haven’t gotten the point here, it’s that I want you. I want you to be in my life. Whether you are my old lady or not, I am going to be there for you whether you like it or not or until you tell me to go away.”

I can’t believe he just said all that. “I know you are trying to be a good friend but that’s all we are going to be. I don’t want to bring you into my problems. I’m just going to leave town. I think it might be for the best, my shop is all destroyed and someone in this town obviously doesn’t want me here.” I think that might be the best thing to do. I’ve been thinking about it.

“I am offering you my protection, why won’t you take it?” Buzz says.

“Because I don’t want to pretend to be your old lady Buzz. I see how other women look at you, I don’t want to ruin your chances of being with the one you are meant to be with because I am around.”

“Woman, don’t you understand what I am saying here? I don’t want another woman, I have been dead inside until I met you months ago. I haven’t touched or looked in the direction of another woman since you have been around. I can understand if you don’t want to be with me because I have my own issues but please let me help you here. I don’t want you to leave.”

Before I can answer, Winger walks up. He had been standing behind Buzz the whole time, talking on the phone.

“I just got off the phone with some club connections. They are going to run the DNA off the bed spread and send it over to Rock once they are done. We should be able to find out who has been terrorizing you.” Winger says as he walks over to me. “Don’t worry Liz, we will find out who has been messing with you. Also, it’s true what Buzz said, he hasn’t touched another woman since you walked into our lives with your sweet treats.” He says with the biggest smile.

“Really?” I say.

“Yeah. He wasn’t in a good place before he met you, you woke up the goodness in him whether you realize it or not. All the brothers know he has it bad for you but you two knuckleheads just don’t realize it.” Winger says as he walks away.

I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to bring my crap to Buzz and also what kind of issues does he have that are so bad he doesn’t want me around. I look over to him and Winger, they are talking near their bikes. I can’t hear what they are saying but Buzz looks up at me and flashes me the biggest smile.

“I will catch ya later Liz, I need to bring this blanket over to my friend so they can get the DNA off it.” Winger says as he gets on his bike.

“Thank you.” I say.

Buzz is walking towards me and I suddenly feel very nervous. He gets up very close to my face. “What is going on in that pretty head of yours Liz?” He asks as he rubs the side of my face with the back of his hand. I lean into it a little.

“Nothing. I keep thinking I need to clean up my house. Thank you for all your help, you don’t need to stick around if you don’t want to.”

“Liz, I am not leaving until you feel safe. I can tell by the way you’re hugging yourself that you’re uneasy.”

What he doesn’t know is that I’m nervous around him now. I used to be comfortable around him because I knew he could never have the hots for someone like me, but now it’s different, because I know he might actually like me. “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be like this. I feel bad dragging you into my problems.”

“You aren’t dragging me, I am walking into them willingly. Plus it means that I get to spend more time with you.”

“What does this mean though?”

“You get my protection and if you become my old lady you get the club’s. I don’t want to scare you off, but as a friend right now, I am offering to help you out. Winger is offering to help you out as well and before you say anything else there are no strings attached. You don’t owe us anything, you have always been there helping us out and feeding us when times were tough.”

“I don’t know what to say.” For once I am speechless.

“You don’t have to say anything.”

“Thank you. And you’re wrong Buzz, a woman will fight with you and stand by you with any problems you have just as you are doing for me right now.” I walk away, up towards my front door. There, I stop and look back at him.
