Agony: Kings of Rebellion MC #4 by K.T Fisher (14)

Chapter Fourteen

Drew

If I could scream at the tops of my lungs right now, I would. I am so fucking pissed!

“So everything has been delivered to the clubhouse?” Tasha asks, sounding as annoyed as I do.

I release a long sigh, but it does nothing to calm me. “Yep.”

I’ve just got off the phone with my dad because he rang me up to complain that I haven’t collected the salon’s new goodies from the clubhouse. Like I planned to have them delivered there! My dad thought I had planned to have them sent straight to the clubhouse, but I told him that made no fucking sense and after he had shouted at me like a child down the phone, he demanded I remove them before he has the men turn and throw them in the fire pit in the clubs garden. Which angered me even more.

“My dad said we can use one of the vans to bring the boxes here.” I try to calm myself. “So we’ll take your car and then I’ll drive the van back here.”

“Alright then.” Tasha quickly agrees, sensing my mood and not bothering to ask any more questions. That is until we get into her car and drive towards the club. “I just don’t understand why our stuff for the salon was taken to the clubhouse.”

In the past, I’ve had some deliveries sent to the clubhouse when I was busy because I knew someone would be there to sign for them. They were only small packages and nothing like the delivery we have been waiting for today but I still don’t understand why they were sent to the clubhouse because I put down the salons address on the order. “It’s just one big fuck up.”

The thought of the salons pretty chairs and tables sat at the dirty clubhouse makes me feel on edge. Tasha and I have been waiting all day for these too, every time the salon doors opened we would jump from our customers to see if our delivery was here but were let down every time. Now I know that they have been sitting at the clubhouse all day! My dad could have at least sent a text to let me know, but he thought I purposely had them sent there, because that seems like such a good idea for a large delivery.

As soon as we enter the compound my mood darkens.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I bury my head in my hands as Tasha parks the car.

Tasha sighs. “Why are they outside?”

“And right next to the bikes.” I frown.

We both stare at the large boxes in front of the clubhouse building, totally exposed to the shit British weather and right next to the men’s bikes that could cause our beautiful salon décor a lot of damage. Luckily for my dad, today is a nice day and the boxes aren’t ruined. I immediately take my phone from my bag and call my dad again.

“Princess.” He greets and I scowl.

“Don’t princess me.” I argue. “Why are they outside?”

My dad loudly sighs. “I didn’t want no fucking strangers coming inside the building Drew.”

“They’re delivery men, Dad.”

“Who might have been paid off by our enemies!” He shouts. “The boxes are outside, waiting for you so get them out of the compound by the time I get back. Your brothers are around somewhere, so tell them to help you move the boxes into the van. No more fucking sass!” He continues before hanging up on me.

I growl as I throw open the car door, my dad doesn’t usually shout at me but he’s stressed lately and today I woke in a bad mood. This whole situation isn’t making it any easier on me. Slamming the car door shut, I stalk towards the clubhouse, Tasha hot on my heels whilst she shouts to Devlin.

“Dev!” Tasha calls, not caring how much noise she makes which is fine by me. We’re both angry women today.

I spot the Redgrave brothers sat at a table. I choose to ignore them. They look like they’re in some sort of deep conversation. Most likely about how they’re going to catch the fuckers who killed Sketch, so I leave them to it. I haven’t seen them since the party last week but it looks like the club bunnies have made themselves readily available to them as they walk by the brothers, lingering eyes on them at all times. Tasha and I pass them, looking for my brothers but my path is blocked by Cyrus.

“Excuse me.” I smirk.

Cyrus smiles down at me and I would be blind if I couldn’t see how sexy he is, but nothing inside of me stirs for him.

“Hey Drew.” His eyes heat as he takes me in, but again, I feel nothing.

“Cyrus.” I nod and I go to walk around him, but he steps to the side to block me again.

“I’m gonna go find Devlin.” Tasha huffs and leaves me alone with Cyrus. Gee thanks.

I look back at Zane, who seems very interested in watching me and Cyrus. The smirk on his face tells me everything. Frustrated with this already, I frown at Cyrus and he grins wide. “Look Cyrus, I have shit to do today.”

“I could think of something better for you to do.” His dimple pops and it’s hard for my mood not to lighten, but I’m so pumped with anger today nothing can affect my mood.

I close my eyes for just a second and when I open them, Cyrus is watching me closely.

“Look Cyrus, I know you’re happy to be here and help but right now I need you to get out of my way so I can find my brothers. I have huge fucking boxes outside that need to be put into the van so I can take them back to my salon and I’m in a really bad mood, so for your safety, you need to move.” His eyebrows rise in shock and he looks back to his brother behind me, before returning. My patience is running thin, so thin that the line is barely there. “I’m sure there’s more for you to do than standing here with me?”

Cyrus honestly looks shocked. “You ok?”

A bunny then chooses to walk behind Cyrus, eyeing him up like a steak dinner and I very nearly snap, but I manage to hold on. “I’m fine, but maybe instead of hassling me, you can go and play with the bunnies? You can take your pick, you know, just like last weekend?” With a smirk, I stroll past him, but before I go to look for my brothers, I turn back around to see Cyrus looking back at me, stunned. “Oh and you might want to go and get yourself checked. The bunnies you played with, Rosy and Sandy, they’ve had their issues with certain STI’s.”

With that, I turn and leave, hearing Zane’s laughter as I do. It makes me smile, and I’m feeling a little better with myself as I spot Tasha with Devlin. Scrappy and Baby are with them too, so I charge over there and demand that they help with the boxes.

Cyrus

What the fuck just happened?

“Bro, that’s one feisty woman.” Zane laughs as I watch Drew walk away, her arse calling me as it wiggles side to side. He walks over, slapping his hand down on my shoulder. “You have you hands full trying to catch the club princess.”

“I’m not trying to catch her.” I snap, shrugging Zane’s hand from my shoulder.

Zane steps in front of me, crossing his arms and frowning. “If not, why you waving your dick in her face every time you see her?”

“Shut the fuck up.” I push him away. “She’s just lost her man, I ain’t trying her.”

“Oh really?” He snickers, shaking his head but I let him think what he wants. Yeah, Drew is hot as fuck but she’s the president’s daughter and is still grieving. If my hard on for her doesn’t fade soon though, I’ll be tempted to test the waters with her and ask for a little taste. There’s only so much a man can take.

I turn around, heading outside and call back to Zane. “Come on dickhead.”

“Where we going?” He asks, jogging to my side with a shit eating grin.

I open the front door and spot the boxes that Drew is stressing over and the black VW transporter van parked beside Devlin’s Old Ladies car. That must be the van Prez told us Drew was using today. I walk over, finding the van already unlocked as I open the back doors. Zane’s watching me curiously.

“Don’t just fucking stand there, get the boxes into the van.” I approach one of the biggest boxes and Zane comes over to help me lift it.

“Fuck, what is in these?” Zane says as we carry the box into the transporter. We carefully place the giant box inside, and we push it right to the front. “So, why are we doing this?”

We jump out of the van and see Drew standing in front of the boxes, her arms folded and her mood doesn’t seem to have changed a fucking bit. “My thoughts exactly.” She glares.

“My way of saying sorry for upsetting you.” I’m fully aware of Zane standing very close by, as well as Devlin and his old lady and to make matters worse, Scrappy and Baby have just joined us.

Drew’s grey eyes narrow as she observes me, probably wondering if I’m up to anything. I don’t even know myself why I decided to help her out. She’s been a bitch to me ever since my brother and I arrived, but I feel bad for her. Drew seems to have been through a lot.

“Fine.” She finally sighs. “You can help.”

With that, she turns her back and orders the rest of us to work while she stands with Tasha. Scrappy and Baby get the other large box while me and Zane begin on the smaller ones.

“Look, I know you’re notorious and shit,” Baby stands in front of me as I go to pick up a box. “But Drew’s my sister.”

“I get it.” I nod, interrupting him before he goes down the whole, ‘protective brother’ speech. “I just wanna get on her good side.”

Baby doesn’t seem entirely pleased, but nods anyway and grabs another box.

“What is all this shit anyway?” Zane asks when we’ve finished loading the boxes.

Devlin grins as he shuts the van doors. “Their salon delivery was sent here, instead of the girls place.”

“They have a salon?” I ask and Zane flashes me another curious look while Baby frowns.

Devlin nods, telling me all about the business Drew and his old lady share which is below Drew’s apartment. I look over at Drew and see that she’s busy talking with some girls and take my chance while she’s distracted. Without thinking it through, I walk around the transporter and jump into the driver’s seat. Luckily for me, the keys are already in it so I turn them and rev the engine. Out the window, I see Drew turn to look and close her eyes when she sees me in the van. She storms over and Tasha slowly follows behind her.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Drew asks. “Get out.”

“I’ll take the boxes.” I offer with a smile, but unlike most of the women I’ve ever known, it doesn’t work on Drew.

“Get out of the van Cyrus.” She grins through her teeth.

I can’t help but laugh. “No.”

“I swear to god.” Drew snaps, but Tasha places a hand on her shoulder.

“Drew, we could actually use him to help unload the boxes at the salon. Dev and Scrap can’t come anyway.” I can see that Drew doesn’t want to agree, but common sense weights in my favour “Fine, Tasha you meet us there. Baby, go in the car with her.”

“You’re going in the van with Cyrus?” Asks Baby, looking at his sister as if she’s out of her mind.

She turns to smirk at Baby. “I’m perfectly safe little brother.”

She pats his chest mockingly as she passes him, opening the passenger door and climbing in beside me. But not before she shouts out to my brother.

“Are you coming too, Zane?” She asks him.

“I’ve done my days work.” He shakes his head. “I think my brother can help you with your needs.”

I bite down my laughter. Fucking Zane. Drew doesn’t say anything as she sits down and slams the door.

Drew looks at me as she clicks in her seatbelt. “Don’t flatter yourself, I’m here to make sure you know where you’re going and look after my delivery.”

“You keep telling yourself that Princess.” I can feel her eyes burning into me as I drive, following Tasha’s car but I don’t give into her and carry on looking forward, onto the road. I do turn up the radio though as a song by Bugzy Malone begins to play. I spot Drew tapping her fingers along with the song and can’t help the grin that spreads across my face.

“You made any progress?” Drew asks out of nowhere. I don’t need to ask her what she’s asking about because there’s only one reason why I came back here with my brother, and that’s to end all the shit that’s targeted at this particular Kings Chapter.

I eye her at the corner of my eye and I see the desperation written all over her pretty face. I shouldn’t really say anything, but out of anyone, Drew has a right to know at least a tiny bit of information.

“A little.” I admit, and her eyes widen. My eyes return to the road, following Tasha’s car towards the salon. “Zane and I have a few plans, don’t worry.”

“If you can, let me help you gut the bastards.” Her voice is full of fury and without really thinking I nod.

“I’ll see what I can do.”

She doesn’t say anything else, but as I pull up behind Tasha’s van, I look over at Drew and she’s fucking smiling at me. It’s not a huge, happy type of smile but a sad, understanding smile. But at least she’s not glaring at me anymore.
