Troy
Once we arrived back at the hotel, Reece went into her room and I walked into mine. I went to take a shower, hoping to erase the fight that I had with Paul. I know that shook Reece up, so I hope it doesn’t retrigger any experiences that she had with him. I just wish she would talk to me.
I stared at myself in the mirror, noticing the cut I had above my brow. Hopefully the contractors won’t notice it when I talk to them in the morning.
After I finished my shower, I grabbed a pair of black shorts and a white t-shirt, laid down on my bed, and turned on the TV to see what’s on. I texted Jamarcus to see how things went at work today; he replied it was good and to not worry about things there. I know that because Jamarcus is a great manager. We may joke and butt heads sometimes, but I couldn’t imagine running that store without him.
I flipped through several channels until I discovered there were nothing interesting on, so I turned it off. I scrolled on my phone to my music playlist and found what I was looking for. I put my arms behind my head and stared at the ceiling, wondering how the rest of this trip was going to go. All I could do was think about what Reece was doing in her room. I wanted to go knock on her door and see if she was okay, but she needed her space, so I’d give that to her.
I was still staring at the ceiling when there was a soft knock at the door. I slowly got up, wondering if that wasReece. It’s not like I knew anyone else in Dallas.
I opened the door to see Reece with a a tiny smile on her beautiful face.
“Can I come in?”
“Of course,”
I moved to the side to let Reece in and she waited for me to close the door. I noticed that she had a first aid kit in her hand.
She looked around the room before speaking. “I know I said I wanted to be alone, but I don’t want to, Troy. I want to be with you.”
“Are you sure?”
Reece motioned for me to sit down as we went to the bed. She put the first aid kit beside her and she opened it. “I also wanted to fix that cut above your brow. That’s the least I could do since it was my fault you were fighting.”
“Don’t blame yourself for that.”
She inhaled then she put antiseptic onto the cut. I flinched as she gave an apologetic glance. "Sorry,"
“It’s fine.”
As she tended to me, Reece suddenly closed her eyes as if she was thinking about what to say. “What happened earlier was pretty intense. Seeing Paul after not seeing him for years really caused me to think about the past. I really didn’t want to, but it did.”
“I understand that, and that’s what I was afraid of.”
“But seeing you in that element, fighting Paul, something inside of me wondered if you would be the same as him.”
“Why would you think that? I would never hurt you, Reece.”
“But the way you were handling Paul; I understand why you were doing it, but I was actually scared of you.”
I looked down to the carpet as Reece took a deep breath. “I never want to be afraid of you, Troy.”
“And you don’t have to be, Reece. I’m sorry for what happened, but when I saw that punk, something inside of me made me want to kill him.”
“Troy…”
“I don’t regret what I did, but I do regret you even seeing any of it. If I could take any of the pain that he has caused you away, I would in a heartbeat. But I could bring you new memories to erase all of the bad ones. I want to make you happy, Reece, if you let me.”
She looked nervous as I leaned closer to her. I put my hand on her cheek as she closed her eyes.
“Reece, you deserve to be happy, and I want to be that man to make you happy.”
“I want you to be, Troy…”
“But I know you want to take things slow, which we can…”
I stopped talking when I felt Reece caressing my chest. She gave me those bedroom eyes of hers, which instantly turned me on.
“Troy, even though what happened was unexpected, it doesn’t change how I feel about you. I really like you and I want us to move forward in our relationship. I want us to be closer in every way possible.”
I glanced at her, wondering if we were on the same page. She nodded, letting me know she was.
“I want to be with you, Troy.”
“Are you sure?”
She leaned into me, her lips touched mine. After what happened earlier, I didn’t know if we should take things to the next level, but when Reece looked into my eyes, I knew she was ready.
“Make love to me, Troy.”
“Reece…”
“Do you trust me, Troy?”
“Of course,”
“Trust me on this,”
We never broke eye contact as my hands went to her waist. I could tell she was a bit nervous, when her fingers lightly touched my back.
“I haven’t been with anyone in a year, so I might be a little rusty.”
I leaned in closer to her. “I doubt it, baby.”
“Are you going to test that theory?”
I laid her down on the bed, she picked up my phone. I didn’t know what she was doing until the sounds of a song I’d never heard of began playing. Reece placed the phone on the bedside table and turned back to me wearing an enticing smile.
“What is that?”
“I noticed you had Spotify on your phone, so I thought I would share one of my favorite songs with you.”
She lay her elbows on the bed, motioning for me to come to her. I shook my head as she gave a confused look. I gave her a sexy smile while I slowly took off my shirt. Just from her expression, I could tell she was already turned on as she bit her lip.
Her expression changed from intrigue to lust as I came over to her. She slid her hand down my chest, landing on the button of my jeans. She took a deep breath as she got up to face me.
“I’m going to admit something right now.”
“What?”
“I have a thing for men with tattoos,” she said as she touched my scorpion tattoo that was on my chest. She batted her lashes at me, which made my dick rise.
“What else do you like?” I asked, while I ran my fingers through her hair.

I leaned into her, giving her a sweet, but sensual kiss. My eyes went to her shirt; I became a little nervous. She noticed that I was and smiled.
“Don’t be nervous, Troy.”
“You have that effect on me.”
I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her as I slowly pulled off her shirt, revealing a black laced strapless bra.
“You know what I like. Black is my favorite color.” I whispered.
“I kind of figured,” she said.
Her hands went back to my jeans button as mines went to hers. We began taking off each other’s clothes before I laid her down on the bed. I stared at her body in amazement. Damn, she’s sexy.
I gave her subtle kisses on her forehead, cheeks, and her lips. My hand went to her thigh, pulling up her leg as my lips left a trail of kisses from her thigh to her toes. She arched her back, loving my touch as I continued to tease her with my lips and tongue.

Honestly, I didn’t think we were going to do anything during this trip, but I still brought a box of condoms just in case things changed.
I gave her a peck on her nose and I went to my suitcase. I pulled out the box of condoms which made her smile.
“Were you expecting for us to have sex?”
“No, but at least I was prepared.”
