Since Reece and I have been back from Dallas, things has became a bit different around Suds. Although the two of us have said we would keep things quiet between us there, people were already suspecting that something was going on between us. I don’t see how, but I guess with the way my attitude has done a complete one- eighty, people are seeing that Reece may have something to do with that.
It has been a month since we came back and the event for the store is quickly approaching this weekend. We still had a lot of planning to do, including securing the bouncy houses for the kids, paying the caterer, as well as the entertainment.
I’d just finished detailing a car when I had to change my shirt. The customer’s car was completely dirty and I still had half of the day to go at work, so I still had to look presentable.
I went inside the office to grab another shirt. I quickly changed and decided to check the sale totals while I was in the office. I looked at the cameras, seeing Reece and Nena at the registers and smiled. Just looking at her made me have dirty thoughts that I shouldn’t be having at work, but she has that effect on me.
I continued to stare at her, realizing I wanted to test that theory about us doing it when the mood strikes. For me, that was right now.
I slowly opened the door and peeked my head out. She glanced at me as I motioned for her to come in. She gave a puzzled look as I mouthed for her to come inside. She stared at Nena, who rolled her eyes as Reece headed to the door. She closed it behind her, while giving me a curious glance.
“Okay, what’s going on? You know this is my last day working behind the register since Crystal is fully trained now.”
“Which I’m glad for, but what does that have to do with right now?”
“Because I want to be able to spend time with Nena since I won’t be seeing her as much after today.”
“Aren’t you sentimental?” I asked as I came up to her.
“What can I say, I love the people that I work with.”
“Even me?” I asked as I put my arms around her.
“Maybe. You can be a bit bossy sometimes, and a little rude.”
“Seriously? Me?”
“Is there anyone else in the room?”
I laughed. “You better be glad that you’re so sexy,”
“And if I wasn’t?”
My hands went down her back, and I gave a sexy smile. I began to kiss her neck, causing her to give a sensual sigh. “I guess we’ll never know, right?”
I continued my seduction as my lips left a trail from her neck to the middle of her breast. I put my hands towards her ass, giving it a light squeeze. She softly moaned in my ear, before licking my earlobe.
“Nena is on the other side and there are customers walking around.”
“So,” I said.
“Troy, we can’t be having sex in here.”
“Hasn’t stopped us before.” I said as I led her to the desk.

“And in your car in the parking lot. So this shouldn’t be any different.”

I smiled and went to the door near the hallway while she locked the door to the lobby. I came back to her and we quickly took off each other’s shirts. I threw the papers that were on the desk onto the floor and sat her down. We were pulling each other’s clothes off like we couldn’t get to each other fast enough. She pulled me to her before she spread her legs for me to come in. I lifted her off of the desk so her ass could be on the edge. Once all of our clothes were off, she glanced at me as I touched her cheek.

I looked to the cameras to see Nena on her phone, and Jamarcus heading to the office. He was going to the door when Nena stopped him.
“Just know we can’t do this again,” Reece said.
“You weren’t thinking that just now were you?”
“Of course not, but just let this be a one time thing, okay.”
“Whatever you say, baby.”
She tried to get up, but she had to hold onto me. I laughed as I slowly got up from the chair. She held onto me as I sat her back down on the desk.
“You can’t even stand,”
“Because that’s how good you got it.”
“I know; I just wanted you to say it.”
“I would smack you if I wasn’t feeling so damn good.”
I laughed, quickly putting my clothes back on. We had to get ourselves together since we were gone too long.
“Before we go back to work, I do need to know how is the event planning going for this weekend?”
Reece shrugged. “It’s fine. Everything is coming along. Nena has been helping me with a few things and Crystal even suggested having face painters for the kids. Her uncle owns a business nearby, so he’s willing to come and work for free.”
“Seriously? I have to thank Crystal then.”
“I already did, but you still can.”
Once Reece put on her shirt, I grabbed her hips and she smiled.
“Can I just say how much you have made me happy these past few weeks, Reece.”
She smiled. “I know; you have done the same for me, Troy. More than you will ever know.”
We gave each other a quick kiss then there were knocks coming from both doors.
“What the hell are you two doing in there? I need to come in!” Jamarcus yelled.
“I need to take my break so I can eat,” Nena said.
We stared at each other as Reece gave me a knowing glance.
“I’ll convince her to go out for lunch.”
“Please do. I’ll pay.”
She shook her head as she went to the lobby door. I went to the hallway door and opened it to see Jamarcus giving me a crazed look.
“I don’t even want to ask. If I see anything in here, I’m leaving early.”
“It wasn’t like that. Now, let’s get some work done, shall we?” I said as I walked out to the hallway.
Jamarcus stared from the room to me and gave me a “don’t bullshit me” look. “Then why the hell does…”
“Let’s go, man.”
Jamarcus was still giving me that look even after I told him I’d meet him outside. I went to the restroom to get myself together. Once I did, I stared at myself in the mirror, thinking about what just happened. I really wanted to tell Reece that I loved her, and I should have already said so, but I just didn’t know how things would go between us. Maybe I was just too afraid to admit it, but I really am different around her. She has made me a better person, so maybe it was time I told her that.
And I think I know the perfect place to do it.
