I looked up at him, wondering if this was the same Troy that I’ve been interacting with for weeks now. He smiled which made me do the same.

He held me tighter as we laid in silence. He lightly touched my shoulder, which made me shiver.

Troy kissed my forehead which made me smile. “I’m glad Vanessa enlisted you as my babysitter.”

I began laughing as well. “I won’t, because it’ll just stroke your ego even more.”

After several hours of pleasure from Troy, I was extremely exhausted. I think the two of us have done it in every position possible. After grabbing breakfast after the meeting, the two of us were back in Troy’s room as I was staring at the mirror in the main room. I was trying to prepare myself for meeting my parents, but I couldn’t. There was nothing I could do to prepare myself for since it always end in disaster.

“I’m glad you’re coming,”

I turned around to face him as he gave me a warm smile. “There’s something I wanted to run by you.”
“What’s that?”
“I was wondering if you would like to do photography for the store? In fact, maybe you could be the photographer for the entire company. I’m sure if I ran the idea by Vanessa and Mark, they’d agree.”
I sighed. “I don’t know, Troy. They don’t even know that I do photography.”
“Maybe it’s time you tell them. Remember what I told you, baby. Embrace your passion, don’t run away from it.”
“I already feel as if those two have done so much for me; I don’t want to ask for another handout.”
“It’s not a handout. If they see your photos, they’ll know how talented you are and they’ll be begging you to do it.”
“You’ve barely seen my photos.”
“I have seen the ones you took recently. Besides, you’re super talented, so I’m sure they’re great.”
I sighed. “Maybe I can talk to them, but right now, I need to focus on this visit and hopefully I don’t have an all out argument with my parents.”
“It might not even go that route,”
“You don’t know my parents. It’ll go there.”
“Let’s hope it doesn’t. Besides, I’ll be there to keep you calm.”
I smiled. “Who knew that you would be the one to watch over me?”
Troy smiled. “I knew from the moment you tried to hurt that customer.”
“Seriously,”
“All kidding aside, you’ve helped me just as much as I’ve helped you.”
“I’m glad,”
He gave me a quick kiss as I wrapped my arms around him. “So, how is this going to work when we go back to Suds? I did say you can’t be dating any employees.”
“Does it matter? Everyone pretty much knows there’s something going on.”
“But we don’t have to announce it. Besides, wouldn’t it be kind of spontaneous to keep things on the low?”
Troy grinned. “I don’t know. I kind of want to announce that you’re my girl,”
My heart fluttered when he said that. I want him to as well, but there’s so much going on, especially with this Dallas store. I’m already feeling guilty about lying to him about it.
“Maybe we should just keep things quiet.”
“Why, unless you’re ashamed to be with me.”
I sighed. “Not at all. I could never be; it’s just that I was the one saying for you to not date anyone at Suds, yet we’re dating. How hypocritical am I?”
“Listen, mija, people at Suds could care less what anyone does. Yes, they can be messy at times, but we’re a family there. There wouldn’t be any judgment.”
I nodded. “Fine, we can announce it, but on one condition: we only tell certain people, and we don’t act like a couple at work. So no couple talking and definitely no PDA at the store.”
