Take a Shot by Jerry Cole (13)

Chapter Thirteen

Waking up to Bobby was even better than Dan had guessed it would be. When the sun filtered through the curtains, Dan blinked, turning his face away and ending up pressed into Bobby’s hair. The gel had dried, and Dan pulled away, running his fingers through it gently. He teased out the clumps, smiling as Bobby hummed in his sleep, turning his face into the touches.

It was all so new. It was obvious why people liked it, why Ian and Kayla had always told him to get out there, sow his seeds or however the fuck they worded it. Dan wasn’t so much about the sowing of his seeds as he was about seeing all the different ways he could make Bobby’s breath hitch.

As much as he wanted Bobby’s hands on his body, he wanted to see what Bobby looked like naked, wanting him stretched out beneath him and enough time to explore every inch. People had sensitive spots, that much he knew, more than aware of his own. He wondered how long it would take Bobby to find them.

“I can feel you watching me.” Bobby opened one eye a crack, lips quirking before smoothing out into a yawn.

“Sorry,” Dan lied, tracing the furrows of Bobby’s brow with his finger.

“Mmm, are you?” Bobby smile was bright in the morning, and more pliant, leaning into Dan’s touches, turning his face into Dan’s shoulder. Everything about him was soft.

“I need to brush my teeth,” Dan said quickly.

Bobby laughed gently, shoving at Dan’s shoulder. “You don’t have your toothbrush here.” Then, staring up at Dan with a look of affection, he said, “I don’t mind if you don’t.”

Self-conscious, Dan did mind, but the idea of passing up a kiss was stupid. He leaned in, hesitating a fraction before kissing Bobby softly. It was perfect, lips dry, but it didn’t take long for them to work up enough saliva that the kisses turned wet and loud.

“God,” Dan said, nosing at Bobby’s jaw. “Is it like this all the time?”

“No,” Bobby said honestly. “I told you that last time.”

“I never want it to end.” Dan peered down at Bobby, wanting him to see the truth. “Not with you.”

There was something sad about the slant of Bobby’s mouth, but it was gone quickly, replaced by a happy grin. “Why wouldn’t you? I am fabulous.”

Dan knew he should have been more worried by the unhappy smile, but he couldn’t bring himself to care in the face of Bobby’s words, the press of Bobby’s fingers to his neck, drawing him back in for a kiss. “Definitely that.”

There wasn’t enough time for them to have sex. Dan didn’t have a game for a couple of days, but he still had training to attend and his sister’s program to get through.

“You’re going to stay, aren’t you?” Dan asked, almost afraid of the answer.

“I need to stay for Kayla’s performance,” Bobby said lightly, then, with more seriousness, “And I promised if you won a medal I’d fuck you.”

Dan’s dick, already interested thanks to it being morning, was perking up at that idea.

“Down boy,” Bobby grinned. “You have somewhere to be this morning.”

Dan wished that wasn’t true, and sighed, leaning in for some more kisses. Not knowing when he was going to see Bobby next, he was determined to get his fill until then.

“Come on,” Bobby said, tapping Dan’s ass. “You need to shower and get changed.”

It was an obvious dig at the evidence of their orgasms the night before, but Dan’s brain had hitched on the word shower. “You could always come in with me.”

Bobby looked delighted, tucking some of Dan’s loose hairs behind his ears. It had been a while since he’d cut his hair, but he liked the way Bobby’s fingers felt curled around it, tugging and guiding. Maybe he’d wait a little longer before scheduling in for a trim. “I’ve created a monster.”

“So sad,” Dan lamented, shifting so that he was straddling Bobby’s hips.

“Not for me,” Bobby said before Dan’s phone started vibrating in his pocket.

“Fuck,” he said emphatically, shoulder dropping to Bobby’s chest.

Bobby chuckled. “Come on, Matthews. Up and get going.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Dan said, sighing deeply. “We will definitely revisit this later.”

“I’m counting on it,” Bobby said, shoving at Dan’s shoulder. “You have training.”
