Gray's Playroom (The Everett Bros Book 3): An M/M BDSM Romance Novel by CANDICE BLAKE (12)

River

I woke up to a pounding headache and had no recollection of what had happened after I’d taken a shot of gin with Gray.

I rubbed my eyes to adjust to the morning light. I had no idea where I was. When I looked down, I noticed someone’s arms were wrapped tightly around my chest. I still had my clothes on I’d worn the night before. Only my pants were unbuttoned and my ass was exposed.

I recognized those strong, muscular arms immediately, and when I turned around, I saw Gray, naked except for a pair of briefs. I felt his morning wood pressed against my ass, which hurt more than it did yesterday. I was shocked when I finally realized that he must’ve taken me home. How else could I have gotten there? I was embarrassed. Usually, I was good with alcohol, but I must’ve been more nervous than usual going to a rehearsal dinner knowing practically no one.

It felt good with Gray holding me so tightly. I wondered if he’d done it consciously. But I enjoyed that moment for as long as I could, feeling his hard cock between the hills of my ass. Even though he was my client technically and I barely knew him, I felt safe in his strong arms. It was like being wrapped in a cozy blanket that smelled of musk and pine.

I pushed my ass harder against his bulge. I wondered if he’d undid my pants while I was sleeping or if I’d done it myself without realizing it.

I looked around his room. It was the first time I was in there, and it wasn’t much different from the rest of his house. The walls were white, and there wasn’t furniture except for the mattress on the floor we were sleeping on. Next to the mattress was his phone plugged into a charger on the wall. But besides that, there was nothing else in the room.

I admired how he didn’t have many things. It was so different from my apartment, which was littered with books and sentimental things I’d held on to my whole life. But maybe that was the difference between Gray and me. He seemed like he had no trouble letting things go.

I could feel his hard cock pulse against my ass. I wanted to turn around and touch it. It’d only been a day since I jerked him off, but I wanted to do it again. I wanted to do more with him. But I was afraid he’d withdraw from me again. I didn’t want to scare him off or come off too needy or desperate.

I’d already met all his brothers, even though neither of us had been planning on doing that until the actual wedding. I figured that the wisest thing to do was try to sneak out as quietly as I could before he woke up. We’d spent way too much time together in the past twenty-four hours.

I checked my pockets, trying to locate my phone. My roommate must’ve been worried sick about me. We had a rule to always message each other if we were going to stay the night somewhere. That way, if we were ever in a sticky situation on the job, I could turn to Josh for help.

My phone wasn’t in my pocket, and I patted around the bed to see if it had fallen out. But it wasn’t there. Maybe I’d left it at the restaurant. I was starting to worry I’d dropped it on the street when I’d blacked out.

Gray woke up from me moving around so much in his bed. When he opened his eyes and saw me, he withdrew his arms and the warmth and comfort I felt went away.

“You’re up early,” Gray said.

“Yeah, I can’t find my phone anywhere. Do you know where it is?” I asked.

“No clue. I didn’t feel it on you last night when I took your...” Gray stopped talking.

“Pants off?” I said, finishing his sentence.

He seemed a bit embarrassed to admit it.

“Yeah...I...” he stammered. “I wanted to make sure that your ass was okay from yesterday,” Gray said.

I turned over to try and look at it. All I could see was that it looked a bit red.

“I’m okay,” I said. “You don’t have to worry about me.”

Gray laughed. “If I hadn’t worry about you last night, you’d still be over the sink in the bathroom at the restaurant.”

I felt blood rush to my cheeks, hating how Gray saw me in such a messy state. Gray was always so composed. I wondered if he looked down on me for being such a sloppy drunk.

“Sorry,” I said quietly. “I don’t usually drink that much. I guess I was just a bit nervous to meet all those new people.”

“Don’t apologize. It was late, and I shouldn’t have given that shot to you,” Gray said.

I looked down and saw he had the comforter over his briefs and his hands over his crotch. I knew he was trying to hide his hard-on.

“Did you have a good night?” I asked.

Gray nodded. “I haven’t had that much fun in a while. It made me miss being in this city with my bros.”

I sighed. “Yeah, your family just seems so perfect I wish I had brothers like yours.”

“You’re an only child?” Gray asked.

I nodded.

“You’re lucky. My brothers were annoying as fuck when I was growing up. But I’ve learned to really love them now.”

“Blue’s a really good person. I could see right away as soon as I met him,” I said.

“He may have said the same thing about you last night,” Gray said. “I can’t really remember. But you guys really hit it off.”

I smiled and wondered if Gray looked like Blue when he was younger. Of course, he didn’t have any photos or anything for me to see.
