“Who is even going to believe you, meth head,” laughed Clayton. “You’re no one in this town. A drug addict. You’re just going to O.D. one day and do everyone a favor.”
“Are you threatening me, pal?” Jared said, turning toward Clayton. “What? You’re gonna have me killed?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“Yeah, well, guess what? I’m gonna tell the cops you did. Then what? Take me to court if you want, I got nothing to lose. But you two, you’ve got everything to lose and that’s the truth!”
“You’ve got no proof,” laughed Carl, with a snarl.
“I’ll tell people. Some will believe,” insisted Jared. “I’ll tell the whole town.”
Finally, two security guards burst into the room and grabbed Jared. He struggled with them and yelled as he was being dragged out.
“Office slut! Hey! These three were fucking in here. I saw it. I saw it!” shouted Jared. “These guys are having sex with their employee. That’s illegal!”
It would’ve been easy for Carl and Clayton to be quiet and let the security guards drag Jared out, but something stirred in Carl.
“You can’t do anything to hurt Mandy, because my brother and I are in love with her!” he announced. “She’s our girlfriend and we don’t care who knows. There’s nothing ‘illegal’ about consensual sex with our employee, and in this case, we’re in love so that makes it all the better.”
The lead security guard, Ned, shrugged and looked at Jared.
“He’s a good boss. I don’t care who his girlfriend is,” said Ned. “Or, if they share her. Might be a little non-traditional, but what’s it to me?”
“Me neither,” agreed the other guard. “Who am I to say who can love who, or who can fuck who or how many people at once?”

The duo dragged Jared out of the building.
“Did you really mean that, Carl?” I asked, knowing the answer.
“Yes,” he said. “Of course, I did. And if I know my brother half as well as I think I do, I know he feels the same.”
I turned and looked at Clayton.
“He’s right. I wanna be with you, Mandy. I want to protect you.”
“Oh, Clayton. Carl,” I gushed. “I’m so glad I met you both.”
“Tonight, at the Christmas party, we should announce it,” said Carl.
“Announce what?” asked Clayton.
“This,” he said, gesturing to the three of us. “So there’s no confusing things. So there’s no rumors. Let’s get our cards on the table. We’re not doing anything illegal or even immoral. We’re in love. And that’s a good thing. Even if people think it’s a bit weird. Fuck ‘em. They don’t pay our salaries. We pay theirs.”
“Makes sense. Plus, I’m sure everyone in the building is going to be wondering what the hell is going on since Jared barged in,” agreed Clayton.
“Our staff loves us,” assured Carl. “I think they’ll be supportive. What do you say, Mandy?”
“I’ve never felt more at peace or at home then when I’m with you guys,” I admitted. “I say, bring it on.”
