Vivian was visibly flustered from my display and wouldn’t look at me as she secured her hair into a low ponytail. Dinner was at a well-known steakhouse in the city and we arrived to be led to a room in the back. It was an open bar and Vivian widened her eyes as I asked her what she wanted. “Just one glass of wine.
