Acknowledgements
Yup, this will be long. Because each and every one of you are so important to me and there will never be a good enough way to thank you for all the support and generosity you've shown me. A simple acknowledgment in a book doesn't do it justice, but I hope it matters all the same.
Complicated Hearts was and is a gamble.
This duet isn't for everyone and a lot of people turn their noses up at this sort of story. They judge before they understand. Writing this duet was a journey...and it was...well, complicated.
I'm so incredibly humbled and grateful for each and every one of you. And truly, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul. I hope like hell I'm not leaving anyone out...and if by some horrible chance I did...just know that I'm sorry.

Thank you for the amazing covers, teasers, and graphics that you do. Thank you for dropping everything to read the chapters that I sent you because I was freaking out. Thank you for being there for and with me every single step of the way.
Avery: I can't begin to tell you how grateful and thankful that I am for you. I know it wasn't easy staying up until 3:00 am with me going over every single word in a google doc with a fine-tooth comb. You treated every paragraph, every syllable like it was of utmost importance and somehow, you made it bearable and even enjoyable. I honestly can't thank you enough.
Jamie: Thank you for being there and listening to me and my idea. When I told you about CH, you rooted for me, the characters, and this story. You wanted me to get it right as much as I did. Thank you so, so, so very much.
Michelle: Because this *still* applies and then some. I don't think I can ever express my gratitude for all that you do. From the big things—to the small things that always add up to big things. You keep me organized. You keep me sane. You keep me going when I want to throw in the towel. Thank you, babe. So fucking much. There is no way this could have happened without you.
