Legion of Guardians: (Book 1-5) by Xyla Turner (51)

- She’s Mine

BEAR

"Bear, you looked tired as shit, man," Razor noted when we were all at the compound eating lunch. “I’m the one with a small child.”

"I am fucking tired."

"Let me guess, that young pussy keeping you busy," Shiz commented.

My eyes turned to him and he immediately raised his hands and moved to the other side of the counter as Bronx and Razor laughed.

"What the fuck is wrong with that youngin?" I asked. "Swear to God, he don't know what to say out of his fucking mouth."

"He's young," Razor commented.

I grunted.

Razor and Bronx were brothers but they were like real brothers with or without the Guardians. I tried to mind my business and live my life and not be overly involved with anybody else's shit. However, Bronx was married to Shay, so in many aspects, I was involved.

"So, here's the scenario fellas and for once in my goddamn life, I don't know how to play it."

"All ears," Bronx said and Razor nodded.

“What are y’all over here gossiping about?” Apollo joined us at the counter.

“Women,” Razor answered. “Well, Bear at this point.”

Apollo looked at me and asked, “Heard you made the move. Nice. What’s the deal?”

"As you know, Dessy and I have been kicking it for a little over a month now. It’s been fucking crazy. Like, never in my life did I think I'd wake up to purple pillow cases and lilac bedspreads and shit. She makes me fucking crazy and has blown all of my rules and even my way of life out of the water. I wanted us to just play, but it’s so good now, I want it to stay that way. Well, my sister is lonely and shit, so she’s moved in with me. I guess, she’s getting older and wanting to be close to me, her only family. She wanted to meet Dessy and I could tell Dessy didn't think it went well, despite my sister saying she enjoyed her company. I told Dessy, we'd have to spend less time together and she gets pissed. She heeds my word, but she's pissed and I don't like seeing her like that. So, I'm trying to play double duty and spend time with her while helping my sister along." I took a sip of beer. "I'm sure I fucked up somewhere but I thought I'd get another opinion."

"Ouch," Bronx said. "I'm an only child, so I don't have a reference point but I will say this. If I told Shay I was putting someone and I mean anyone before her, she might suffocate me in my sleep." He nodded. "Well, that's putting it mildly."

"Yeah, brother." Razor shook his head. "Women don't like that shit. Sisters or potentials. It speaks about your priorities. You guys are so new, that testing those waters like that could be the end of you. She may think you're weak and I think that is one of the reasons she’s so taken by you. You are who you are and make no apologies for it. At the same time, helping your sister seems like a valid concern. She is your sister after all and she also doesn't want to play second fiddle either. Especially to some younger woman who may not be in your life in the next year or so."

“Yeah, I had that happen when I tried to tell Lori I needed to focus on a job while she was thinking I should be focused on her. She told me to focus on the job and when I had the time to include her, then and only then should I bring my ass back to her. Needless to say, women don’t take that shit kindly.

"Right," I agreed as I secretly hoped that wasn't the case.

The truth was, I shouldn't have had to make a choice. The other truth was that Dessy had the potential to be my future, whatever that meant.

We were all at Peppers that night because the guys wanted to hear this popular band play and I just wanted to see Dessy. I even convinced my sister to join me and have some fun.

Half way through the night, I went to go check up on Dessy but stopped when I overheard one of the locals trying to get her number. After she refused, he said, "So, it's true you are with Bear Claws?"

"Excuse me?" she snapped back as she threw the rag down on the counter.

"You heard me. What the fuck you want with him? He's damn-near old enough to be your pops. Why settle when you can have someone that actually has stamina?"

She must have had a stool or something behind the bar, because my girl grew inches when she leaned over the counter and said, "Who the fuck are you? What do you know about Bear and his dick? You must not have heard the stories correctly. Stamina is not a problem. He’s long, thick and knows what to do with a big cock. You," she pointed at him and turned her lip up in disgust, "don't even know how to talk to a woman, forget fuck one to sleep. Fuck off. I'll stick with my Bear."

My Bear?

She jumped down, grabbed her rag and went to the other side of the bar.

"Your loss." The asshole shrugged.

"Nope, that's your loss." I came up behind him.

His eyes grew wide as he scrambled away. There was no point of bashing his face in since Dessy just crushed his whole soul. That would hurt worse than anything I could do physically. She didn't return to that area for a while, but I waited for her. Dessy's words kept churning through me as the song, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, played in the background.

Dessy saw me and that priceless smile spread over her face. The woman was beautiful and should be dating some pop star or actor but here she was talking about 'her bear’.

When she reached me, I pulled her over the counter, so she could sit on it, then wrapped my hand around the back of her neck, so I could kiss her sweet lips.

There was no plan in my head when I did this but I just wanted to touch her, feel her, reassure her. She’d picked right.

The kiss took over and our lips, teeth and tongues were moving between our two mouths. Open, exposed, and loving it. The music continued and then the jeering grew louder.

"Awe shit, Bear. Way to go. Good catch." I barely heard them but I realized I had to pull away.

Our foreheads were touching when I whispered against her lips, "My house when you get off tonight. I have something for you."

"Okay, Bear." She nodded. "Are you sure?"

"Positive, sweetheart."

Her fingers grabbed my ears right before she kissed me again. When we finished, she said, "Yes, daddy."

Fuck.

She knew that one got me going. I hadn't claimed her, collared her or anything. I was thinking it was bigger than this but I just did not know how big.

Dessy went back to work and I returned back to my table where my sister had suddenly fallen ill.

"Carol, I can have one of the guys take you home," I informed her.

"What? I don't know any of them," she countered.

"But I do. You're in good hands." I left the conversation there as I went to find one of the prospects.

Carol went home with Jared while I waited for Dessy. My chest was pounding hard as I anticipated her finally getting off. I almost told Big Joey to let her off but she was in her element. Schmoozing while they boozed and collecting her tips.

“Alright, brothers. It's time for my departure.” I nodded at Shiz, Snoop and Dash.

Most of the other guys had left or were with a lady if not their own. The sound of footsteps came up behind me as I stood up and dropped some bills on the table.

“Are you my ride?” the familiar voice asked.

Dessy was behind me with her bag over her shoulder.

“Oh yeah, sweetheart. I am most definitely your ride.”

“Fuck,” Shiz whispered.

“Goddamn, Bear.” Dash whistled.

She sidled up to me and I grabbed a chunk of her ass.

“Mmm, hey boys.” She waved at my brothers. “Can't stay to chat. Thanks for keeping him company.”

“No problem, Dessy,” Snoop answered. “Anything for you.”

I turned around to glare at the prospect. Fuck, he was smitten.

“Fuck off,” I barked at him. “She's mine.”

A smaller hand filled my bigger one and I turned to see Dessy smiling and leading me away.

“Got the morning shift.” Both of her hands grabbed my wrist while she pulled me away. “Want to show you much my kitty missed you.”

“Holy fuck,” I heard Shiz yell as we went through the doors.

We barely made it home because Dessy wanted to start the foreplay while I was driving. Her hands were all over my dick, rubbing and stroking it so it was more than alive.

We burst through the doors with her hands in my pants.

“My room,” I whispered.

As soon as we said that, a light switched on.

“Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt,” Carol's voice rang out effectively stopping our laughter and had me turning around.

“The fuck is wrong with you Carol,” I barked.

“I couldn't sleep. Heard all sorts of creaks and shit from this old ass house settling.”

"How old are you?" I barked. "Over fifty and you're scared of a house settling."

"Bear," Dessy whispered. "Stop."

My head swung back to her and said, "Go to my room and wait for me."

Her brown eyes met mine, then she nodded and obeyed me. I was annoyed as fuck because all I wanted to do was get in my girl and fucking pass out. Carol was acting funny and this didn't bode well with me at all.

"Sorry, brother." She changed her tune. "No sleep makes me cranky."

"Hmm," I grunted. "Well, good night."

"Yeah." She turned back to her e-book with the attached nightlight and murmured, "Night."

I was about to go upstairs and then I asked, "Carol, why did you really come here?"

"You're not buying my lonely bid?" she asked without looking at me. "You always knew me better than the old man. Go and have a good night. We'll talk another time."

"Is it something serious?" I asked. "You in some sort of trouble?"

She laughed. "No, Bear. I'm good. We'll talk more tomorrow, okay?"

"’kay, sis."

Something was up with her but I'd find out tomorrow because I really couldn't focus at that moment. When I made it to my room, I found a naked Dessy sprawled out on the bed in dreamland.

Damn.

Once I stripped, I climbed into bed and she automatically wrapped her body around me burying her face in my chest.

How did I get here?

Fucking paradise.

When I woke, Dessy was gone but she left a note.

Hey Bear,

Sorry, honey. I had to open RIGOR this morning.

I made breakfast for you and Carol. It's in the oven. You don't have a coffee maker, so just reheat the water in your microwave. And there is lunch in the refrigerator for the two of you. Just In case you want to have a sibling picnic. :-)

Have a good day.

Dessy

That's my girl.

Goddamn.

As I was walking down the street in downtown Manor, I heard footsteps behind me.

"Sup, Bear."

I knew this was coming.

"Shay," I said with a nod.

"Soo, you and Dessy are an item, huh?" She kept with my walking pace.

"That's the word on the street?"

"Don't fuck with me, Bear."

She moved to get in front of me.

Yup, sassy as all fuck and didn't care one shit about it. Had to love her. Wouldn't want the privilege to tame her, Bronx took that on and succeeded. My hands crossed over my chest.

"Look, I know that's your family but I'm not ..."

Her hands went up in defense. "I'm not here to bust your balls. Just want to let you know, she really likes you and has for a while now. Figured you might want to know that bit of information. She's not had good luck in the love department or much of life but besides my thoughts of you being a class A royal jerk, Dessy's smitten. However, now for once, I'm almost convinced that you might be good for her. She's happy."

I was not expecting that from her.

Wow, Bronx had really been on his game.

"Obliged," I responded.

"Right, whatever that means. Being married to a biker doesn’t mean I speak biker." She shook her head. "Now, if you play with her heart, fuck around on her or do my cousin wrong, just know you'll answer to me."

She stepped closer to me. "Just wanted us to be clear. I have no problems shooting your ass."

Well, I’d thought too soon, here was the regular Shay. Bronx still had some more work to do.

"Obliged," I said again, nodded and walked away.

Her ass just threatened me.

I laughed as I kept walking to the compound.

"Who's going to the gym?" I yelled. "The train is leaving now."

"We know you are," someone yelled back.

"Fuck you, bitch." I pounded on the counter. "Need two waters."

"I'm in. Coming. Hold up." Voices rang out.

Razor had been on a health trip about everybody getting in shape, so we instituted the daily gym run and today I was leading. Not to work out with weights but with my girl.

When we showed up, I nabbed Dessy without saying a word, yelled for Jax and told him she was on break and dragged her to the laundry room. I locked the door and turned to press her against the door as her arms wrapped around my neck.

"Got your note." I pecked her lips.

"Oh, good. Did you guys go out and have fun?" she answered.

"No, Carol went out of town for the day to a friend’s house."

"Hmm," she murmured. "Maybe next time."

"Where'd you come from?" My heart was so warm with emotion.

"Harrisburg, silly." She laughed.

"Yeah." I nodded. "Like a fucking angel, sent from heaven just for me."

"Ohh, Bear." She rose and kissed me on my lips. "We missed you last night and this morning."

"Sweetheart, you can't keep this sort of schedule all the time. Off at two, home by three and starting it again the next morning at seven. That's crazy," I noted.

"Bear, I'm fine. It works for me." Her head reared back.

"Dessy, it's not. You're going to crash, soon." I leveled my eyes on her.

"Bear, I'm good." She kissed me and pulled my mesh shorts down along with my boxers. "This is what I want."

She slid to her knees and wrapped her lips around my raging cock. Her big brown eyes hit mine as she took me in her mouth. Those fucking eyes were saying all sorts of shit to me and all I could do was stare at her as her mouth slid up and down.

"That's right, sweetheart," I murmured. "Fucking beautiful."

Her hands cupped my balls and rolled them back and forth as she started to bounce on her haunches and her head bobbed along with the rhythm. Then her tongue rolled and it was all I could do to not push her against the door and choke her with my dick. So, I gripped the door post and let her bring me home.

"Cumming, sweetheart." I went to pull out, but she grabbed my thighs and I burst right down her throat.

Fuck, she took it all and swallowed. After she licked her lips, she kissed her way up to a standing position, covering my stomach, chest and neck with kisses. All I could do was stare at her.

"Bear?" she called. "You alright."

"Perfect," I said as I moved her hair out of her face. "Just perfect."

Nabbing her hand, I pulled her towards the bench and said, "Come sit with me, a minute."

"Okay."

After I sat, I put Dessy on my lap and started kneading her back.

"Got something for you," I said and opened my left hand that had tightly held the gift the entire time she was literally blowing my mind.

"A key?" Her eyebrows furrowed with confusion.

"Yeah, to my house." I looked at her.

"Fuck," she snapped. "I knew there was something I forgot. I had your key made too. It's at the front."

"No worries." My hands rubbed her ass. "The other thing I want is you at my house. Clothes, toothbrush and all that other shit. I want you there, okay?"

Her fingers started to rub my face as she smiled. "Okay, Bear."

"Okay?" My forehead touched hers.

"Yes, daddy." She smiled that smile that seemed to melt all my worries away.

"Fuck, me." I took her lips in a kiss.
