- Watching Us

DESSY:

My ass hurt like a bitch, but oh my God, that was sexy as fuck. I wanted to do it again. Jax noticed that I was walking a little weird and asked, "Bear, put that hot shit on ya, huh?"

"Yes, he did." I laughed as I went to my locker to put my stuff inside.

There was a brown, crinkled up paper bag inside that I hadn't put in there. I checked to see if it was my locker and it was. I went to open the bag and saw it contained some balled up napkins inside but it had weight to it. Turning the bag upside down, the objects dropped on the bench and the napkins unraveled. I bent down to get a better look at what it was and jumped back, screaming at the top of my lungs.

There were two small yellow eyes with the veins still attached.

Jax came running in and saw what it was and yelled, "Oh, shit."

He circled around, grabbed me so we got the fuck out of there.

"W-who would do that?" I exclaimed. "What is that?"

"Got to call Bronx," Jax exclaimed.

"I got to call Bear," I said, reaching for my phone. My hands shook as I pressed his name under my favorites.

"Dessy?" He answered on the first ring. "You alright sweetheart?"

"N-no," I stammered. "Uh, a b-bag with..."

"On my way, stay at the gym. You hear me? I'm on my way."

The phone went dead and ten minutes later, Bear came barreling into RIGOR with Shiz and Swag, the Norristown president. We could see them from the window of the manager's office.

"Dessy!" he bellowed.

I ran downstairs to get to him and when he saw me, his frantic eyes calmed. Bear embraced me when I face-planted in his chest.

"What's wrong? Is it about this morning?" he asked low.

"No." I shook my head. "I found a paper bag with yellow eyes wrapped in napkins inside it."

Bear's head swiveled to the guys and their bodies immediately went tight, eyes grew and even I could tell something was going on and they were already on high alert.

"What's happening, Bear?" I grabbed the sides of his shirt.

"Not now." He pulled me closer to him but was looking at Swag.

"I want everything and I mean every fucking thing on them. This is the Vipers and they've fucked with the absolute wrong one," he growled.

"You got it, brother," Swag responded.

"Razor," Shiz said with his phone to his ear. "Yeah, they got Dessy too."

I held onto Bear tighter.

"Fuck," he hissed.

Bear looked to Jax and told him, "She's off and Bronx will probably be out today too. Can you handle shit here?"

"Yes, I can." He nodded.

"Good." Bear nabbed my hand and we left. The other guys went on their way but Bear brought me back to his place.

When we finally got inside, I saw that his place looked bare again. Carol must have moved out already.

Bear sat me down in the kitchen at the splintered wood table and poured himself a beer and me a glass of wine. Any other day I might have argued since it was only noon, but after seeing that shit, I probably needed a glass.

"Remember those guys that came looking for you and Jeb?"

I nodded.

"Well, the one that was killed has some buddies that want to avenge his death. The assholes sent us a taunting message in animals' blood, stating that since we killed one of theirs, they would kill one of ours. They sent eyes to Shay, Apollo, and you. I think they went after you because it all started with you and Jeb. So, you're staying with me. Was going to have you do that anyway, but this just moves things up on our timeline."

"Okay." I was starting to get scared. "We’ll have to keep our detail then?"

"Yeah, sweetheart. You will." He nodded.

"Okay." My heart started racing again. “How come they struck now. What’s that about?”

“Well, we’ve been watching them and it looked like they were watching us and last year the heat turned up, to the point that Apollo had to step up and started to aggressively monitor them, which slowed shit down. Apparently, that hasn’t settled. We just had a meeting and I can’t tell you everything but I want you to know that you’re safe and you’re moving in now,” Bear said.

My head nodded as I pondered about the worst-case scenarios. None of this sat right with me and I could tell Bear was trying to soften the blow. Dudes putting a bag of an animal’s eyes in my locker showed that they knew the place, had access and were willing to kill, even if it was an animal to prove a point.

Later that evening, while we were getting ready for bed, Bear pulled my back to him and whispered, "You think those eyes in the bag resembled the eyes from the dream?"

"I thought about it," I murmured. "It may mean it's two guys and not the entire group of guys."

"I thought about that too and told Razor and Bronx," he shared.

"I told Shay too earlier. She was pissed and said that she had to start carrying her gun again." I shook my head.

"Fuck, that cousin of yours is a goddamn mess," Bear laughed.

"Oh, yeah. I was thinking of getting a taser or pepper spray," I said slowly.

"I'll get them for you." Bear kissed my head. "Your safety is all that matters."

"I've been attending the self-defense classes as well, so something additional won't hurt," I continued.

"Agreed, sweetheart." He grabbed my breast and squeezed.

"Looking for something," I teased as I wiggled my sore ass in his crotch.

"If you’re ass wasn't in pain, I would be getting something." Bear twisted my nipple.

"My pussy doesn't hurt." I wiggled again and felt his hard cock lengthen on my butt.

"That so?" He rolled me onto my back. Then he mounted me and said, "Good thing, we sleep in the nude, huh."

Bear was on his knees in front of me, stroking his large cock. God, he was so big. I couldn't believe that fit in my ass.

"Never wanted kids after Grace, sweetheart," he said as he kept stroking. "Until you."

I placed my finger in my mouth and sucked on it. "I'm scared to birth little cubs that are ten plus pounds."

"Don't worry! You were made for me and everything I've got to give."

My legs opened, inviting him in and in true Bear fashion, he slid in as his body hovered over mine. My breath hitched as it always did when he first entered me.

"You want that?" Bear asked. "Want that with me?"

"Yes," I moaned. "I'd love that honor."

"Fuck, Dessy." He rocked into me. "Love you, girl."

My nails scraped down his back as I wrapped my legs around his waist.

"I know, now make love to me," I whispered in his ear, right before I started to bite on his neck.

I needed a good spanking and besides that, Bear loved me marking him.

******

A COUPLE OF WEEKS HAD gone past with no sign of anything foul. If there was, the guys didn’t tell us. Kylie had been so pissed about Shay, Lori and I having gotten targeted, she called for a sleepover, so we could drink the night away. Well, Kylie was no longer breast-feeding, so she could drink. Shay was on water only, so there would be no shots for her. Lori and I were all about drinking. None of the men had a problem with it, even Bear, which I encouraged him to have a night out with the fellas. He was a loner, but he really did like and respect Razor, Bronx, and Apollo; not only as brothers, but men.

"Come on, honey." I kissed his cheek. "Let's go, have fun and I promise – drunk sex."

"How drunk?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Drunk but not to the point of puking."

"Got a deal."

We watched some chick-flicks, we took a shot every time a character of theirs said the word complicated and laughed for hours. Shay would take a shot of water, so she didn’t feel left out and by midnight, the rest of us were trashed. That was when Bear came from Razor's man cave and asked if I was ready.

"Oh yeah, I promised him drunk sex," I blurted.

"Shit, so did I." Kylie turned all the way around as if she was looking for Razor.

"He's downstairs," Bear informed her. "Bronx is in the studio and Apollo’s on the porch."

Everyone scrambled to their men as Bear and I made it outside to get home. He wasn’t drunk really because he carried me into the house and then to bed as I ripped off his clothes during the process. By the time he was standing over me with his boxers on, I cringed.

"Goddamn it, Bear. I hate your boxers," I blurted.

"What?" He looked down at his underwear. "What the fuck is wrong with them?"

"They age you," I said. "Guys don't wear boxers. Have you seen the underwear commercials with Matthew McConaughey or Idris Elba?"

"Fuck no," he barked as he climbed on the bed after dropping his underwear.

"It's just that..."

"Don't give a fuck," he said, as he spread my legs open and buried his face in my hot center.

"Holy shit," I exclaimed.

Bear nipped and sucked until I came all over his face, coating his mustache and beard. Those things were messy, but seeing my essence on him was enough marking for me. I still kissed him and rode him until he was trying to still me but I was having none of that. I balanced myself on my haunches and rode Bear's stiff dick until he exploded inside of me.

"Fuck, sweetheart." He slapped my ass, once he recovered. "Drunk sex, every goddamn night."

I laughed, curled into him and passed out.

Another few weeks passed and there was still no word about any of the Devil's Vipers. Well, no word was spoken to us. I had been at the compound on a few occasions and saw the men in all their glory. They partied hard and still remained respectable citizens. When I used to party hard like that, I didn’t have a balance. Most of the time I was doing it for other people and that was worse. At the end of the day, I felt horrible and still no closer to finding myself. Now, I was steadily learning. Shit, who knew at thirty I still didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up.

My mom kept hinting she wanted to meet Bear and I wanted them to meet as well, but it seemed so juvenile to ask him. So, I did the one thing Bear hated. Played a damn game which was even more juvenile.

He came home one night and I had cooked his favorite meal; barbecue chicken, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. On top of that, I bought his special draft beer that he drank on occasions and made a cake.

“Sweetheart, you made all my favorites.” Bear walked into the kitchen and looked at the spread on the table.

“Yes,” I said. “Go freshen up, the foods ready.”

Right after I washed the last pot, my feet left the ground and I was lifted into the air.

“Bear,” I exclaimed. “What are you doing?”

Bear was smiling from ear to ear as he held me up high.

“Sweetheart, are you going to make me a father? Is that it? Are you carrying my seed?”

God dammit!

His eyes were bright and his teeth were showing, which rarely happened.

Shit.

I didn't want to disappoint him.

“Put me down, honey,” I said with a small smile.

Fuck, that wiped the smile right off his face. Bear slowly put me down and I wrapped my arms around his waist. Looking into his eyes, he reminded me about the sad bear in the forest and under the tree. He wanted kids. Like, he really wanted them.

"I'm going off the pill effective immediately."

His eyes slightly lit up, then he said, "That's not necessary."

My head shook in disagreement. "It is." Then my hands slid up his broad chest. "I'd love to have little cubs with you. Hairy mini-Bears crawling all over us."

I laughed.

"Love your smile. Those lips and my brown-eyed girl." His hands rested on my hips. "Would love to see that in my little girls."

My forehead fell on his chest as I murmured, "Bear."

"It's not necessary, sweetheart," he repeated.

"No, it's essential," I said into his chest. "Effective immediately."

He pulled me in a hug, then he quickly pulled back and said, "So, what was this meal about?"

Damn.

"Why did the meal have to be about something special?" I asked mischievously.

"Dessy. Don't like games," he warned.

I sighed and said, "I wanted you to meet my mom. That was all."

"Of course." His eyebrows furrowed. "Why did you think you'd have to convince me?"

"I don't know. Seems a little juvenile to ask my, uh, man or whatever to come and meet my mom." I chuckled. "It just seems a bit silly."

"You did all of this," he said as his arm waved around the kitchen. "Just to ask me to meet your mom?"

My head fell into his chest again as I groaned, "I know."

"Fuck, sweetheart. If my parents were living, you would have met them a while ago. It's a rite of passage. There's nothing juvenile about that. If you would have introduced me as your boyfriend and not your man....” He looked at me. “Now that's juvenile.”

I laughed.

“Noted.” My head nodded. “I wanted you to meet her but I just wasn't sure how that would go?”

“Why? She have an issue with me?” Bear asked.

“Not you, per se.”

“With what then...she don’t know me,” he replied.

Fuck.

“Dessy,” Bear warned. “What does she take issue with? Bikers? Older men? White men? What?”

“Well...” I let it hang. “Maybe all of the above. You have to understand she hasn't had good experiences with any of those types of men. My father was an older man. That didn't end well. Bikers were after me. That didn't end well. She's also from another time when the colors didn't mix. Not that they always do now, but still. I think she might be a little fearful. I'm not sure if that makes sense.”

“Sweetheart, fuck what the world thinks about age, creed, color or my club. All that matters in our world, in our house, is what we think.  You understand?”

“I do, but she's my mom.” My eyes lowered to the floor. “I just want to you to meet her. I don't share her beliefs.” I waved to him. “Clearly, but I guess I've come to understand it in a way.”

“Not me. I don't understand shit like that. A man, is a man, is a man, is a man. There are good ones and bad ones of all shades, ages and club affiliations. You can't discount an entire group for what a small minority do. Shit, even the large majority. If that was the case, I would have kept running from you because that damn cousin of yours is bat-shit crazy. That doesn't make you crazy, right?”

I nodded.

This conversation wasn't going the way I wanted.

At all.

Maybe meeting my mom wasn't a good idea.

“And,” Bear continued because he was on a roll. “She's a dreamer. She should know. I'd never do anything to harm or hurt you. She can't see you're my life?”

“She saw you, Bear. But I'm not quite sure what she saw. I was mad with you when I saw her last so we didn't discuss you. All she said was that she wanted to meet you.”

He nodded.

“But let's revisit this later, okay? The food is getting cold.”

I smiled.

“Changing the subject?” He called me out.

My eyes lowered as I nodded my head.

“I'll give you that but we will revisit this.”

“Okay, Bear.”

We ate and it was mostly Bear carrying the conversations because I had nothing much to say. My mind kept twirling around and thinking about where my mom could fit into our lives.

If she could.

Bear was no boy and if my mom said the wrong thing, he'd put her in check. I guess like I wanted his sister to be put in check. Bear, also, did make total sense but she was still my mom and it wasn't sitting well with me.
