Sydney
This was the moment I had been waiting for, for the past eighteen months. Dane slowly lowered his face to me and our lips pressed together, only delicately at first. Like neither of us could believe this was happening. To me it was all a dream. I’d never even thought I’d see him again. Then our lips took control of our bodies.
He was kissing me with aggression, and I kissed him back with the same energy. His hands were on either side of my cheeks, keeping me in place as he kissed me. “All right, yeah, you should go home,” he said and I was a little surprised by the response. I looked up at him as I tucked some fly-aways back into place.
“Goodnight, Dane,” I said in a small voice. I had nothing else to tell him. This had all happened out of the blue and I wasn’t prepared for it. All I wanted now was to go back home and be with Emilia.
“Sleep well, Sydney,” he said in a low deep voice, and I turned from him and started walking away.
I was glad that he wasn’t following me, but I could sense his eyes on me. How much did he know? Did he know about Emilia? If he didn’t know about her, why was he back in Tramore? Dane Forsyth seemed like the kind of man who could have any woman he wanted, why was he back here seeking me out and seducing me?
