Out of the Blue by Lila Rose (41)

Chapter Forty-One

Easton

My feet dragged as I made my way up to my front porch. I was dog-tired but also thrilled knowing I would walk into my house to two men.

Two men.

One I already loved.

One I liked a darn lot.

After opening the front door, my eyes landed on Lan standing in the kitchen with one of his shakes in his hand as he leaned against the counter. He only wore running shorts and looked all sweaty and delicious with a smirk on his lips.

My heart skipped a beat.

I made my way over to him. Ignoring the sweat, I dropped my bag to the ground and wrapped both arms around his neck. One of his went to my waist while the other still held the shake.

“Hey,” I whispered.

“Hey, babe. You look wrecked.”

“I felt it up until I walked in and saw you.”

He chuckled. “I like being here, in your house when you get home.”

“I like having you here in my house when I get home.”

He reached behind himself and put his shake on the counter. Placing that hand on my waist, he tugged me closer and bent, taking my mouth with his.

He nipped at my neck. “You need some sleep, East.”

I nodded and blinked slowly up at him. “How’d last night go? Is Parker still here? I didn’t even notice if his car was out front.”

Lan grinned. “He’s still in bed. I tried to wake him for a run. He grumbled and went to hit me.” I laughed. “Last night was good.”

“And?” I drew out.

“Let’s just say Parker has given his first blow job.”

Hearing it went right to my dick; it twitched behind my pants.

“Really?” I breathed.

“Oh yeah, he liked it too.”

“Did you by any chance film it for me?”

Lan threw his head back and laughed. “Sorry, babe, but I didn’t think of it at the time.”

I huffed but then smiled, knowing I would get to see it one day.

“You need anything before you crash?”

“You and Parker.” I grinned.

Another laugh fell from his mouth. “Get some rest, and we’ll see what we can do.” He kissed me. “I’m gonna grab a quick shower, head out for some food. I’ll leave a note for Park in case he wakes.”

“Park?” I teased, liking the new shortened name he used. Like he did with mine.

Lan smirked. “Yep.”

“I like it,” I told him and then yawned. Pushing away from him, I said, “Just a quick nap and wake me in a few hours.”

“Sure.”

“Lan, I mean it,” I stated, undoing my shirt and slipping it off. “I don’t want to sleep all day. Maybe we could all go see a movie or something later… ah, if Parker wants to.” Lan had messaged me and told me about Parker freaking out. It was good to have a heads-up like that in case I’d reached out to him in some way without knowing he didn’t want any public intimacy.

“Okay, I promise, and that actually sounds fuckin’ good. Haven’t been in years.”

“Awesome.”

As Lan detoured to the spare bathroom, I went down into my bedroom to find Parker still asleep in the middle of the bed. He lay on his back with an arm above his head and the other thrown out wide. The sheet sat low on his hips, and I couldn’t tell if he had boxers on under that sheet or not.

Stripping out of my clothes, I left my boxers on and went to the bed. I could have gone to the spare room so I didn’t disturb him, but I wanted to climb into bed and sleep beside him.

I pulled the sheet up and slipped in. I bit my bottom lip to keep from groaning aloud when I spotted Parker completely naked. His morning wood called for my touch, but I refrained because, no matter how excited my body was—and it was excited, I was already hard—my head felt foggy and tired. I needed my nap so I could be coherent for later.

Still, I wiggled down a little and over. Getting as close as I could to Parker, I rested my head near his and gently placed an arm over his waist. Sleep took me under within seconds.

Voices dragged me awake. I stretched and wrapped my arm tighter around a waist.

“He always like an octopus? I woke earlier to him practically lying on me with both arms around me.”

A chuckle sounded. “Yep, always been that way. How come you didn’t get up?”

The chest under my head shook with laughter. “I did get up, but in a different way.” Parker paused, and then added, “I didn’t want to move him.”

That was hot and sweet. It seemed Parker was going to surprise me each day about something.

“He wouldn’t have woken. He sleeps like the dead.”

“Except for now,” I mumbled. I opened my eyes and lifted my head. Lan stood leaning against the doorframe talking to Parker, who was still lying in bed with me. “How long did I sleep?”

“It’s just after lunch,” Lan said.

I stretched again, flopping to my back; it cracked. I hummed under my breath, still not fully awake. That was the problem with a double shift; it took me a while to wake when I usually had to stretch and open my eyes, but I felt like I wanted to close them and drift again.

“Wake him,” I heard in the background.

“You. He must need it.”

“He didn’t want to sleep all day. He can catch more tonight. He wanted to see a movie or something with us.”

“A movie?”

“Yeah, that okay?”

Parker paused. “Haven’t done it for a fuckin’ long time.”

“Me either.”

I rolled his way again. “You’ll go?” I asked, opening my eyes. They both laughed.

He lifted his chin. “Sure.”

“Great. Brilliant. What movie? Can we grab some food first? You haven’t had lunch or breakfast so you’d have to be starving. I better shower.” I flung the sheet back and got out of bed. “I’ll be quick. Then we can get going.”

“You think he’s excited?” Parker asked, amused by me. I didn’t care because I wasn’t sure if they realised, but to me, this would be our first date. Even if there was no touching involved, I got to take them out in public, enjoy their time, watch a movie, eat, talk… all of it with them and I couldn’t wait.

Marvel or DC?” I asked, walking out of the theatre. We decided to have a quick something to eat at the house since the movie we’d agreed on started shortly. We’d luckily just made it on time.

“Either,” Lan said.

Parker shrugged. “Doesn’t bother me.”

I stopped and stared at them both. I unclenched my jaw, and stated, “We’re Marvel people. Remember it and there won’t be a problem.”

Parker snorted. “Got it,” he said with a salute.

“Sure thing, babe.” Lan chuckled, only it wasn’t funny. He came to my side, spun me to face forward, and put his arm across my shoulders. “Before you get your boxers in a twist, I’m now starving. Popcorn didn’t fill my gut. I need food.”

Parker stepped up on my other side. I huffed at Lan. “I don’t get my boxers in a twist like some chick and her panties.”

“Uh-huh,” he muttered, his lips twitching.

Parker hid his smile behind his hand. Only then he dropped it completely when something caught his attention. “Fuck,” he clipped.

I glanced over to where he was looking. Tits on a whale. It was Bonny. She was smiling sugary sweet and swaying her hips Parker’s way. He’d had her, been with her, fucked her, and it looked like she wanted it again, even after how she’d stormed off from the barbeque we’d had.

“Hey, handsome,” she cooed, stopping at Parker’s side.

My phone picked that moment to ring. I slipped out from under Lan’s arm, and said, “I better get this.” I stepped away and answered, “Hello?” Any type of distraction was better than having to see her grope Parker.

“Easton, honey,” Darlene’s voice came through the line.

“Darlene, how are you? How’s Jewel and Luis?”

“We’re all good, honey. But I have some news. They were going to call you after they did me, but I said I’d tell you.”

“What is it?”

“Amit’s court date is set for next month on the twenty-ninth. He didn’t get an option for bail, honey.”

“Good,” I clipped. He didn’t deserve it.

“Only, Andrew did. He’s out.”

“What?” I yelled, spinning to face Lan and Parker. Parker said something to Bonny; it looked nasty from the way his face screwed up. Her mouth dropped open, but I didn’t see anything else because Lan and Parker filled my line of sight as they made their way over. “How?” I whispered into the phone, clutching it tightly to me.

“Amit testified he was to blame for Andrew’s actions. Threatened Andrew with killing his family if he didn’t do as Amit said.”

“I don’t believe it.”

“I don’t know what to believe,” Darlene said. “However, I’ve taken more security on. I think you should do the same. I don’t know what Andrew is capable of, or what Amit would have him do since it’s obvious I never knew my fiancé. We need to be careful.”

I nodded, because I never really knew my father either. I wouldn’t put it past him to try something, though I was lucky to be in Victoria. Darlene and Jewel weren’t though. “I’ll talk to Lan and Parker, see what they say. Maybe we need someone to follow him, make sure he gets on with his life and forgets us. I thought this shit would be over.”

“It might be,” she said.

“Do you honestly believe that? Do you think he’ll walk away from Amit and his orders?”

She said nothing for a few beats. “No.”

“I’ll ring you back.”

“Okay.”

“Stay safe, Darlene. You, Jewel, and Luis.”

“We will, same to you, honey.”

I ended the call, dropped my arm, and said, “Amit testified that Andrew was innocent against all charges. Said he’d threatened Andrew, so he’s been released.”

“Fuck,” Lan clipped.

“When?” Parker asked.

“Today. Amit’s going to trial on the twenty-ninth. He didn’t get bail.”

“At least there’s that,” Lan said roughly, though he still didn’t look too pleased.

“From what we heard, you think he’ll be trouble?” Parker asked.

“I don’t know, but I need to be sure for Darlene and Jewel’s sake.”

“And yours,” Parker bit out.

“I’m here. He’s over there. I doubt—”

“Never doubt with people like this,” Lan ordered.

I nodded. “What can we do?”

“I like your suggestion. We’ll find a PI over there, a trustworthy one. I’ll call Vi, see if she knows of any. We’ll get someone to follow him. Find out his moves and if any lead to harming you, Darlene, or Jewel, he gets taken down.” After Parker delivered that, he pulled out his phone and turned away from us. His harsh tone clipped into the phone when Vi answered.

“What did he say to Bonny?”

Lan moved his gaze from Parker down to me. I saw his eyes drain with worry and shine with amusement. “He told her he’d rather suck our cocks than ever see her again.”

Even after all the drama, I smiled.
