Out of the Blue by Lila Rose (36)

Chapter Thirty-Six

Easton

Half asleep still, I stretched, not really wanting to wake up. My body felt sore, but in the best way. Smiling, I stretched again and then realised my cheek rested on a chest, but I also felt warmth at my back.

I opened my eyes in a flash and stared at a throat. Slowly, I moved my head up and saw Parker’s sleeping face. It wasn’t his chest I lay on either; it was his arm. His other was thrown over me. I didn’t feel his hand at my back, which meant he had it on the other man snuggled into my back. I was sandwiched between two men. My morning wood throbbed.

I liked the feel of it.

Both of them.

Last night had been… honestly, there weren’t enough words to describe how fantastic it had been. I still felt giddy, my stomach agreeing by dipping and swirling. What was more significant was the memory of when, after it all, Parker didn’t leave the room. He’d crashed to the bed between us and said, “Talk in the morning.” After that, he pretty much fell asleep. Somehow though, I’d ended up in the middle of them both. I wasn’t sure how it happened, but I liked being there.

Lan pushed his erection into my butt, which told me he was awake. Shifting inch by inch, I glanced over my shoulder. He kissed my temple and then whispered against my ear, “Think it’ll be best if he woke alone.” I nodded. Lan added, “Gonna grab some clothes for you and me, you shower, get brekkie on. I’m gonna take the dogs for a run.”

He pulled back to see if I’d agree. I glared and shook my head. His lips twitched as his brows dipped in confusion.

I rolled my eyes. “Get the clothes, talk out there.”

Lan winked and gently unfolded himself from around my back and climbed out of bed. Of course I watched him. Who wouldn’t watch the stunning naked man walk around the bedroom as he grabbed clothes that he kept here?

When he walked out of the room, I started my MacGyver manoeuvres to get out of bed undetected. I lifted my head first, then moved my butt back by pressing my weight onto my hand between Parker and myself. It felt similar to when I woke half on him in Queensland, only this time, he was facing me. He could open his eyes any second and find me sneaking out. Then I would feel bad if he thought I wanted to leave because of him. I mean, in a way I was, but it was so he didn’t feel overwhelmed with us in there when the night before crashed into his mind.

Lifting the sheet behind me, I made sure all of my body parts were clear of his and rolled like lightning, landing on the floor in a crouch. I glanced at Parker. He still slept.

I did it.

Then I heard chuckling from the doorway. Lan stood there, holding a hand over his mouth and one on his stomach. I glared, shooed him away, and then slowly stood. The floor creaked. I froze. Lan choked on his laugh and moved away from the door down the hall. How in darnation had Lan missed that creak, but I didn’t?

Thankfully, Parker hadn’t opened his eyes. I tiptoed out of the room, shutting the bedroom door quietly after me. Lan waited in the hall, and I immediately smacked his stomach.

“You could have helped me,” I whisper-hissed.

“That was too funny to help.” He followed me into the spare bathroom. I found some track pants and a tee waiting for me on the side of the basin.

I started the shower, and while it warmed, I turned back to Lan. “How did I end up in the middle last night?”

He grinned. “I’d got up to have a shower, you must have rolled over Parker, and somehow, he ended up on the other side of the bed. One day he’ll figure out you’re a clingy shit in bed.”

I huffed, shot him the middle finger, and turned my back on him. His arms came around me. “You know I like it.” He kissed my neck. “From the looks of it, Parker didn’t mind either or he wouldn’t have slept like the dead.”

I chuckled. “He did crash hard.”

Lan snorted out a laugh. “Guess we wore him out.”

“Do you think…?”

“Not sure what to think, can only hope. But that’s as long as you’re down with three in the relationship or even trying for one.”

“I’m in love with you, Lan, but I do feel something for Parker.”

He squeezed me gently. “I’m the same, babe. We just gotta wait to see how this morning goes.”

Turning in his arms, I said, “Which reminds me. You are not going for a run and leaving me with him alone. How am I going to handle it? He could wake hating everything, freak out, and leave. We’ll never see him again. I’m not going to know what to say or how to act. Shit, I’m already worried about it.”

Lan chuckled. “Relax, you’ll know what to do and say.” He kissed my lips quickly. “You’ll be fine.” He smacked my arse and then started for the door.

“Lan Davis, do not leave me.”

“You want the dogs to miss their run?”

“Yes!” I winced when it came out too loud.

Lan winked. “See you soon, won’t be long.” Then he was out the door. Maybe I could just hide in the bathroom until he got back.

I had braved it and stood in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil. I’d never had a coffee machine since I liked instant coffee, something Lan hated, but he’d put up with it, or if he really wanted a cappuccino, or whatever his machine did, he went to his place for it.

The dogs were gone with Lan, so I didn’t have them to distract me. Instead, I leaned against the counter nibbling at my thumbnail while staring at the floor and willing the kettle to boil already. Then I wondered what Parker liked for breakfast. If he even ate breakfast or if he was like Lan and preferred one of those shaker shitty drinks instead.

Just in case, I went to the pantry to have a look. I had cereal, oatmeal, toast, and bagels. Surely he’d like one of those. I was pretty sure I had bacon as well. I’d check the fridge.

“Hey,” was called.

I yipped, spun, and saw Parker standing in the kitchen with jeans and wet hair. He must have taken a shower or else he wouldn’t have wet hair, right?

“Um, morning. Coffee? The kettle’s freshly boiled. I’m about to have one.” Without looking away from him, I backed into the counter, turned, and grabbed two mugs from the cupboard above. I knew I’d suck at this. I didn’t know what to say. Certainly, “Hey, last night was amazing, can we do it again?” wouldn’t work… or would it? Nope, throw that idea out of your head, Easton.

“Ah, Lan’s gone for a run. With the dogs. He’ll be back soon.” I glanced over my shoulder to find him closer. I smiled. “How do you take your coffee?”

“Black.”

“Sugar?” I asked.

“No.”

“Milk?”

Silence. “Black,” he repeated.

I closed my eyes and sighed. “Sorry, I’m an idiot. So anyway, do you want breakfast? I have toast. I mean, I can get some bread in the toaster in a couple of seconds if you’re hungry.” I turned with his coffee and held it out to him. He stared down at it. I stared down at it. “Don’t like green mugs?”

His eyes came up to me. “I thought I was supposed to be the nervous one.”

Sighing, I placed our mugs on the counter and started pacing. “I can’t help it. I told Lan I wouldn’t be any good with you alone, how I’d say or do something stupid… and you probably want to leave now.” I threw my hands up in the air. “I mean I can understand why. Last night was wow, but a lot to take in for a first-timer.” When I spun to pace back, Parker stood in my way.

His brow raised. “Last night was wow?”

Heat hit my cheeks. “Well… yes.”

“I probably would have left if it had’ve been the two of you out here waiting to question me. But it wasn’t. It’s just you. Lan knows what he’s doing. I like your reaction, how nervous you get. It calms me down.”

“Lan knew what he was doing?”

“Yeah.” He nodded. “He knows me too damn well sometimes.”

“Okay then.”

“You’ll chill now?”

“I will.” I smiled. His eyes dropped to my lips while mine went to his chest, his stomach, and those fine hairs just under his belly button that dipped down into his jeans. Flashes of last night played through my mind. My dick thickened, and wearing tracksuit pants wouldn’t hide anything. I cleared my throat and grabbed his mug again. I practically forced it into his hands and turned away from him, heading for the pantry. “So, um, toast? I also have a few cereals, even oatmeal, and, ah, Lan keeps those shakes he likes in the morning if you prefer one of those.”

He didn’t answer.

“Are you even hungry? Some people don’t even eat breakfast, but it’s important—”

Hands landed on my waist. I jumped like my cock did. Parker’s breath washed over the side of my face when he asked, “Why are you nervous again?”

My breath caught in my throat, and I laughed shakily. “Uh, I’m not. I was just thinking—”

“Easton,” he clipped.

I groaned, frustrated. “Because you’re half-naked in my kitchen.”

He chuckled. “You serious? My body is makin’ you nervous?”

Clearing my throat, I nodded. “I-it’s distracting and, ah, yeah.”

“And, ah, what?”

Closing my eyes, I dropped my head and shook it. “Parker.” I said his name in a way that sounded like a plea for him to leave it, but having him close, and how his hands ran up and down my waist slowly, gently, sensually had made my reaction worse. I now sported full wood.

“East,” he said with his rough tone.

He wanted to know the problem and wouldn’t leave it alone. Then I’d show him. Reaching up, I took his hand and pulled it down, pressing it against my stiff cock. “You half-naked is a problem because last night is very fresh in my mind.” I hissed when his hand tightened around it.

“I see,” he said, and it sounded like his voice held humour. I glanced over my shoulder to see his lips were fighting not to smile. “You always have this problem with half-naked men?”

I glared. “No, you prick, just Lan, and it seems you apparently.”

His hand snuck under my pants. I stopped glaring and gasped. His hand wound around my dick, and he pulled up and down. “This help?” he asked, his voice light.

“Y-yes.” I nodded. It did, but I was about to blow my load because it was Parker.

Parker touched me like he didn’t care I was a guy. He wanted to touch me. He had been the one to slide his hand under my pants for my dick.

He wanted this.

He liked it.

Liked me.

“You like touching me?” I asked.

His gaze met mine, even as he kept tugging me. “I fuckin’ do.” His lips slammed down on mine. I shifted around and wrapped my arms around him, one at his shoulders, the other at his waist.

The kiss was wet, heavy, and delicious. I moaned into his mouth, pulled back to suck in some air. “Shit, you’re going to make me come.”

He smirked, and my stomach twirled from seeing it. His lips touched mine once more before he said, “That’s the point of it.”

I put my hand over his to stop him. I sighed. “I want to. I so really, really want to. But we need to talk first.”

What I expected from Parker was anger or annoyance; instead, he chuckled. “Worried I’d be using you for a quick tug?”

“No, that’s not—”

“Chill, I know. Seems I couldn’t resist messin’ with you, and I hadn’t expected it to lead here when I started.” He bit the edge of my ear. “Besides, I heard waiting makes it so much better.”

I gulped and nodded. “However, it could also cause me to lose myself very quickly.”

Parker laughed again. “You might have to sit back and watch for awhile then.”

“Watch who?” came from behind us.

I jumped in surprise. Parker didn’t. He gave my cock one last tug, then lifted his hand out of my pants. He turned, and I stepped up beside Parker, grinning over at Lan. Then my heart stalled because he was topless and sweaty. Out the corner of my eyes, I saw a tinge of red coating Parker’s cheeks. My eyes widened for a second before I acted as if I hadn’t noticed the colour or the way Parker looked over Lan’s body.

“You gonna have a shower before we talk?” Parker asked, ignoring Lan’s question.

He studied Parker, then glanced at me and raised his brow in question. I just kept on grinning.

“Yeah, sure. Be back.”
