Chapter 21
You Nasty
Kaye
“Girl, you wrote the hell out of that book. I’m so proud of my little church mouse,” Dean sings through the computer screen.
“I can’t tell you how many times you had me breathless and in my emotions. Wow, Kaye, just wow. It was amazing,” Kia adds.
“Thank you,” I say, feeling my cheeks warm. “Coming from you guys that means so much.”
“Please, I need to ask you where you came up with some of that stuff. Kaye, you nasty,” Dean chimes, fanning her face.
“Yes!” Kia squeals. “Nasty isn’t the word. Hold up. I have a question. Did you finally get the D?”
My face is on fire, I roll my lips and stay silent. I never shared with my friends that Felix and I have started dating. It’s been my little secret.
“Ow, I knew it. I knew,” Dean says. “You don’t go from that bullshit you were writing to straight fire without getting dicked down something serious. Lord, child, when you had him toss her up against that wall—”
“Yes!” Kia exclaims. “That was so hot. And his dirty talk was off the damn chain.”
“Baby, I’m going to get Dae-Dae,” Felix calls as he enters the living room where I’ve been talking to the girls.
Before I can stop him, he leans over the couch and plants a toe-curling kiss on my lips. I don’t so much as bother not moaning into his mouth. When he pulls away, he has his lip sucked into his mouth and the look he’s giving me has my nipples rock hard.
“Ow, you so wrong. I know it,” Dean shouts.
Felix turns to the screen.
“Hey, ladies. Sorry about that,” he says.
“You don’t have to apologize to me. That shit was hot. Woo,” Dean replies, battering her lashes. “Didn’t you say something about brothers?”
“Have six of them,” Felix chuckles.
“Damn,” Kia and Dean say in unison.
“Do they all have eyes like you?” Dean asks.
“Yup, and two have red hair,” Felix winks.
“I know where I plan to be for Christmas,” Dean sings.
“Girl, you’re a mess,” Kia laughs.
“Like you weren’t thinking the same thing,” Dean huffs.
“Not gonna lie. If they’ll provide the type of muse Kaye has,” Lakia giggles.
“Man, Felix,” Dean drags out. “I just want your brothers to teach me some moves. Hopefully it runs in the family.”
“You guys are making assumptions,” I murmur.
Felix makes that disgusted noise in the back of his throat. I’m used to hearing that sound when he doesn’t like something he’s hearing. I look up at him and his eyes are locked on me.
He leans into my ear. “Tell them that bullshit if you want. I’ve read your book, baby. That shit is all me.”
He licks his lips at me, then kisses my forehead. Only Felix can chastise and make your panties disintegrate at the same time. I almost forget my thoughts and my friends right along with them.
“Maybe we should go,” Kia giggles.
“No, you ladies get back to your conversation. I’m going to go get our little guy,” Felix says.
I swoon. Big time, absolutely swoon. I’ve never corrected Dae-Dae from calling me his mama. For all intents and purposes, I am. However, hearing Felix claim us both is so sexy, I’m rendered speechless.
“Yeah, I told you that one wasn’t playing with you,” Dean’s voice pulls my attention from watching Felix walk out.
“You guys are so cute together,” Kia says.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I say, feigning innocence.
“You still going to play this game?” Dean scoffs. “Um.”
“So how long do you guys think I should wait before I release the next book?” I reply.
“Heifer,” Dean mumbles.
“If she wants to keep her dirty little secret, we’ll let her,” Kia laughs.
“Thank you,” I say, giving a sage nod.
“As long as you keep writing that fire, I’m so good with him putting it down on the low,” Kia teases.
Dean falls over laughing. I growl at them both, tempted to end the call. I don’t, only because these two have become like sisters and I love them.
