Chapter 43
Outrage
Kaye
I can’t believe it. I’m engaged. I’ve called Kia and Hadiyah. Jacob found out when he dropped in on an editing session. I usually don’t share my personal life online, but I want my fans to know that true love does happen in real life.
“Here goes nothing,” I murmur as I start to type the announcement.
I can’t stop beaming as my eyes flicker to the ring. It’s so insane. Felix went crazy picking such a big ring.
However, I loved his reason for it. I snap a quick pic to attach to my post. Tapping away at my phone, I bite my tongue nervously as I get ready to share my life with the world.
So this has happened. My fairytale come true. I’ve loved this man since I was a young girl. He has loved and supported me through everything. I still can’t believe he asked me to marry him.
I still feel like his best friend’s nerdy little sister with a huge crush that will never be returned. Yet, squee! He wants to marry me. I said yes to my best friend, the love of my life, the man that owns my heart and soul.
All of that as we are drawing near the wrap of “Loving Tristan.” Oh, yeah…about that. I’ve been on location for going on a year. My book has become a movie!
I love my life! Can’t wait to get State side to start planning our wedding. Love you, babe. I can’t wait to be your wife.

A Fan
“Oh my God. This is so amazing,” I gush as I read Kaye’s post.
So she wasn’t ignoring me after all. She has been in Ireland working on the movie. I’m so excited. Tristan on screen.
I’m so happy for Kaye. This means so many things for us. I have to get ready for her return. She’ll need a PA now. With releasing new books, a movie coming out, and now planning a wedding!
So much to do. I wonder when she wants to have the wedding. I can totally help her with that. First, I need to move closer to Kaye. I can do that now.
I’ve been doing edits for another author. She pays well enough. If only she knew I barely read the manuscripts.
Her writing is okay. I’m just not that strong in grammar or proofing. I needed the money. When I saw her post about an editor, I inboxed her.
She hasn’t figured out yet that she’s paying for shit edits. As long as she keeps paying, I’ll have a ticket in no time. This is going to be just what I need.
“Okay, let’s go apartment shopping. California here we come,” I woot into the room.
I knew you weren’t ignoring me Kaye. That would just be stupid. We’re friends. I’m sure you just had a bad connection while away. Or you could have not wanted to pay the roaming fees.
“Yeah, I get it. You couldn’t be reached or take my calls. You were too far away, busy bringing my man to life.”
I do a dance in my seat. This is going to be amazing. Oh, I can help her pick a wedding gown.
“So much to do, Kaye. We’ll get it done.”
