Truth or Dare: A Mountain Man's Second Chance Romance by Amy Brent (46)

Chapter Six

Jake

I could barely walk straight anymore. I sure didn’t have to worry about getting enough exercise while on vacation. Calla was making sure I got in plenty of cardio activity, though I was beginning to fear she would kill me if we weren’t going home today. My dick actually felt bruised. It had been well-used, and I was actually convinced I’d more sex in the last week than I’d had in the past eleven years.

She was smiling at me in that way. I shook my head. “No way. I can’t. I physically cannot, woman.”

“Oh, come on. I’ll do all the work.”

I shook my head. “That’s not the problem. You have rubbed me raw. I am going to need a cast.”

She giggled. “That could be useful.”

I groaned. “You’re insatiable.”

“So you’ve said, but it hasn’t stopped you yet.”

I tossed the last of my clothes into the suitcase. “Our plane leaves in an hour. We should get going.”

“They can’t leave without us,” she quipped.

I rolled my eyes. “I swear to God if you add anything else to that list, I quit.”

“You can’t quit. You’re my husband, my research partner. I can’t possibly do this research on my own.”

“I hope all this research proves useful in your book. I would be especially interested to read the bit about the movie theater.”

She zipped her suitcase shut. “That will get extra special attention. I think my readers will appreciate reading about how I went down on you in the theater. I don’t even remember what movie we saw.”

I shrugged. “Something about a guy saving people. I can’t say I was paying all that much attention.”

“Thank goodness for that rainy day. We may not have been able to check that off the list.”

“I’m beginning to think you missed your calling in life. You are a bit of a dare devil. That poor captain of the boat we rented had no idea he had a couple of horny passengers on board. He probably would have thrown us overboard if he knew what we were doing on that chair on deck,” I said, thinking back to what had been one hell of a boat ride.

“He thought I was sitting on your lap. The waves did all the work,” she said with a look that said she was reliving the moment.

I grabbed our suitcases off the bed and took another look around the bungalow to make sure we hadn’t forgotten anything.

She grabbed her laptop and we headed towards the main lobby where the car was waiting to take us to the airport. I had chartered a private jet, which had cost a small fortune, but I wasn’t about to check off the last item on her list on a commercial jetliner. For one, I knew marshals would likely toss us off the plane after an emergency landing and for two, there was no way my body was fucking anything in one of those tiny ass places they called bathrooms on the plane. It wasn’t happening.

It would be a quick flight to Papeete with just enough time to join the mile-high club and check the damn thing off her list.

“I’m going to miss the sun and the sand, even if it did make things a little uncomfortable at times,” she joked.

“I told you I would have been on the bottom,” I reminded her, thinking back to the night in the sand under a full moon. It had been an amazing night, spent making love on the empty beach.

“I’m sorry we have to head back a day early, but with Holly laid up, I need to get home and get things taken care of,” she said, kissing me while we waited for our car.

“It’s fine. I’m anxious to get back. This has been fun, but I miss the cabin.”

“Me too,” she sighed. “And the dogs.”

I chuckled. “Yes, I suppose I miss the little mongrels as well.”

“We have a layover in LA. Want to go out for a nice dinner while we wait for our flight?” she asked, waggling her eyebrows.

I shook my head. “I don’t think we can get away with things there like we did here. Americans are not quite as relaxed about that kind of thing.”

“Nobody knew what you were doing under the table,” she argued.

“Babe, you were flushed and practically moaning while I fingered you. I think people had a pretty good idea what was happening. They were all just too polite to suggest it.”

“I told you not to do it,” she shot back.

“Ha! You said the words, but you wanted me to, just like you wanted me to fuck you hard and fast in the men’s room. You got your wish and you got a little bonus for your list,” I said, with a proud grin. It had been my spontaneity that night while we were dining at some fancy restaurant that had gotten her off.

“There’s our ride,” she muttered.

On the way to the airport I leaned over to whisper in her ear. “Are you ready? I hope you skipped the panties. We only have about 45 minutes and it doesn’t count if you don’t get off at least three times.”

Her sultry gaze told me she was ready. “No panties and I’m already halfway there. One stroke and I’m going to be cumming all over you.”

“God dammit,” I moaned. “Why would you say a thing like that? I still have to walk onto the damn plane and would rather not have everyone see my raging hard-on.”

She giggled and cupped my crotch as if to see if I was telling the truth. She licked her lips. “I’m so close. Want to feel?” she asked, grabbing my hand and sliding it up her sundress.

The driver appeared to be focused on the road, but I had a feeling he was aware of what was happening in the backseat. I wouldn’t disrespect her by giving the man a free show. I pulled my hand back and shook my head.

“Nope. I want you aching and wanting, just like me. When you get on that plane you’re going to have juices trickling down your thighs.”

Thankfully, the ride to the airport was short. We managed to get boarded on our plane and before the pilot had the aircraft off the ground, we were all over each other. The sundress made things easy. My earlier concern about being unable to have another orgasm was quickly erased the moment I was engulfed inside her luscious body.

There was a knock on the door. I stilled my thrusting into Calla. “Yes?” I called out.

“We’ll be landing soon,” the heavily-accented voice of our single flight attendant came through the flimsy door of the plane’s bathroom.

“Thank you,” I managed to croak out.

“I want more,” Calla gasped as I began thrusting into her as she sat perched on the small counter in the bathroom.

I found my release and kissed her before pulling out and yanking my pants up. “Later.”

I tossed her dress at her. “You better hurry or you’re going to be naked when we disembark.”

She reached her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a long, wet kiss. “One more?” she asked.

I couldn’t deny the woman. I reached my hand between her legs and began to finger her clit. “Is this what you want?”

Her tongue darted out, licking her lower lip before moaning. “Yes. Hurry!” she demanded.

I furiously rubbed her clit, bringing on a fast and furious orgasm. She reached down and cupped my growing cock.

“Too bad we didn’t have a little more time,” she said with a smile.

“The plane is descending you evil little witch. You know we don’t have time,” I growled.

She giggled and pulled on her dress. “Too bad. You’re going to have to be just like that for the next twenty-four hours.”

“Bullshit. I’ll find a bathroom to pull you into. We have that layover in LA. I’m going to get my relief.”

She pushed open the door and quickly took a seat, grinning at the flight attendant who did not look pleased with us.

I took my seat beside her. “You are a wicked, wicked woman.”

“But you like it.”

“That’s the worst part of it all—I do.”

As soon as the plane touched down, we rushed off to meet our connecting flight.

“Are you ready for this?” she asked.

“For what?”

“It’s a long flight back across the ocean.”

“I’ll sleep. I could use some rest. At least I know my cock is safe from you while we’re on board the plane,” I said with a smile.

“Don’t be so sure about that. All that time with nothing to do but think could prove to be dangerous for you.”

I groaned. “Your laptop is fully charged. Work. Write your book. I think you have enough material for the next three books.”

She was laughing as we got in line to board our long flight back. The long flight to LA and then Maine had left us both spent. There had been a delay as well, which made us nearly miss our flight home.

“Holly sounds weird,” Calla mentioned after she hung up her phone.

“What do you mean? Is she okay?” I asked, with genuine concern as we practically ran through the airport to catch the small plane into Portland.

“I guess. She was very insistent we drive home tonight and not stay in Portland. I told her we were both a little tired and were thinking about it. She said we have to get home as soon as possible.”

“That’s weird. Maybe I should call Gabe.”

We were panting as we handed over our last tickets to the ticketing agent. “They were headed back up to his cabin. I doubt he’ll answer,” she replied.

By the time we had our luggage and were loading up my truck to drive back to the cabin, it was nearly six on Thursday evening. We had been traveling the past thirty hours. All I could think about was getting home and falling into bed, then staying there for the next couple of days.

“Do you think they would tell us if something happened to Casper or Evie?” I asked, worried Gabe would not want to deliver bad news over the phone.

She shook her head. “No, it’s not that. Holly said both dogs were fine, and the cabin was fine. Maybe she’s quitting. Oh God, I can’t live without her. She knows me too well,” Calla groaned, working herself up into a panic attack.

“Relax. I’m sure it’s nothing. Holly tends to be a little dramatic. It probably has to do with your upcoming deadline or something like that. Whatever it is, we’ll handle it together.”

She nodded and leaned back in the passenger seat. “I hope so.”

“It’s going to be fine,” I reassured her. “Close your eyes and get some sleep.”

“No! I can’t sleep. That wouldn’t be fair to you.”

“I napped on the plane while you worked. I’m not even tired anymore. I’m way too anxious to get home. I’m done peopling for a while,” I laughed.

She laughed with me. “I think I am too, but unfortunately, I have to go on that tour. You are coming with me, aren’t you?”

“I don’t know. I’m a little afraid to be alone with you. Actually, I take that back. I’m more afraid to be in public with you.”

She slapped at my arm. “Wait until you see the wardrobe Holly and my publisher have picked out. I thought that last dress was risqué. They really upped the game this time around.”

“Oh shit,” I moaned. “I don’t know if I can take anything sexier. That nearly had me cumming in my jeans when I saw you.”

She leaned back and closed her eyes. “Now who’s going to be pulling who into the nearest bathroom?”

I groaned, knowing I would probably end up in jail for having sex in public by the time the tour was over.
