Truth or Dare: A Mountain Man's Second Chance Romance by Amy Brent (50)

Chapter Ten

Jake

I woke myself up moaning. It didn’t take my brain long to figure out where the sound had come from and why. Calla’s soft little hand was wrapped around my dick, her mouth hovering over the head, lapping it with her tongue. I opened my eyes to see her head bobbing up and down as she gave me a lovely morning blowjob.

My hand moved to touch her hair. She looked up at me, my dick still in her mouth. I nearly exploded at the sight.

“Good morning,” I groaned, as her mouth closed over my shaft and slid down.

Her response was to suck hard.

I grabbed under her arms and pulled her body over mine. Her pussy enveloped my dick as she slid down and rode me hard and fast. When we had both found our release, she dropped beside me.

“Good morning,” she said, with a smile.

“I would say so,” I grinned. “You’re amazing.”

“I know.”

I laughed and shook my head. We both laid there in comfortable silence, listening to the birds outside. It was the way I wanted to wake up every morning. I didn’t think it was possible to be any happier than I was in that moment. I thought about Gabe and hoped he felt the same way. The guy deserved to be happy.

“You spoil me,” I murmured.

“You spoil me. I know how lucky I am to have found a man as gorgeous as you are. You’re beautiful, big dick isn’t so bad either.”

I chuckled low in my throat, happy to know that I pleased her.

Calla was tracing circles on my chest with the tip of her finger. I needed to talk to her about something that had been on my mind, but I wasn’t quite sure how to approach the subject. It had been on my mind since about the second day of our honeymoon. That first time we walked the beach together, seeing things for the first time. The experience of sharing a first-time with someone I loved was completely unfamiliar, but I knew I wanted to do it again and again.

There was only one way to do that.

“Remember when you talked about traveling around the world?” I asked her. “You said you had always dreamed of visiting all the touristy places and then getting off the beaten path to see things few people got the chance to see?”

“Yes, I remember you nearly having a stroke at the thought,” she teased.

“Hey, you took me by surprise. If you remember, it wasn’t just the thought of leaving my home behind that nearly caused me to stroke out. I think it had more to do with what you had just done to my body,” I reminded her.

She giggled. “Possibly, but I’ve done that to your body many times and you’ve never had quite that same reaction.”

“You’re getting me off topic,” I said, squeezing her hip. “You’re going to sell your house, right? Not that I’m pressuring you. If you don’t want to, I understand.”

“Yes. I already told you I was going to.”

I took a deep breath. “I think I’d like to do what you talked about before. Traveling, I mean. Maybe six months out of the year or more. I don’t know.”

She leaned up on her elbow and looked at me. “Really?”

I nodded my head and kissed her nose. “Yes. Our trip was amazing, and I don’t mean just the sex. It was fun to explore something new with you, far away from here and our regular lives. I liked the freedom traveling brings. I want to see everything!”

“I’m game. Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t know. I don’t necessarily want to get on a plane and fly around the world visiting places that are tourist destinations. I want to explore,” I explained, feeling as if I were not quite getting my idea across.

“I thought you said you’d already seen the world when you were in the Army?”

I shrugged. “I did, but I saw bases and a few beaches. I didn’t really get to experience it. Of course, I went to some of the bars and hotspots, but that isn’t really seeing the world. We don’t even need to leave the country. I’ve only been to a handful of states. I’d be perfectly happy going down the east coast or visiting the middle of Nebraska.”

She laughed. “Nebraska?”

I sat up and got out of bed, pulling on my briefs.

“Where are you going?” she pouted. “I thought we were going to stay in bed all day.”

I chuckled, leaned over and kissed her, before pulling the sheet back and kissing each of her breasts. “There’s plenty of time for that. Come on, I want to show you something,” I tugged her naked body out of bed.

She put on the robe and met me in the kitchen. While she started the coffee, I pulled out a map I had been carrying around most of my life. It was old and worn, but it meant something to me, which was why I had kept it. I hadn’t showed it to anyone before. It was just a map, but it was a part of who I was. The man that I kept hidden away from most of the world. I didn’t have to hide with her. She knew me inside and out.

“What’s that?” she asked.

“When I was younger, I had big dreams of visiting every state. I wanted to see everything. I used to study travel guides and imagine I was anywhere but where I was. It was my escape. When I joined the Army, I had grand plans of finally fulfilling my dream. Army travel isn’t quite the same as civilian travel. Even when I had leave, it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had thought it would be. It was actually a bit of a disappointment, which was why I never cared to travel again.”

I spread the map on the table, staring at the red Xs that indicated where I had been. There weren’t nearly enough for my satisfaction. It was a little embarrassing to admit I had never really been out of Maine.

“I would love to travel the country with you,” she said, staring at my map. “I can work from anywhere.”

“I know. I have plenty of money sitting in a savings account, waiting for a rainy day. I don’t want to wait for that day anymore. I want to use the money to make the most out of life. If I were to die tomorrow with a fat bank account, it wouldn’t mean shit to me, but these memories we make, that would be everything.”

“I refuse to let you die tomorrow or the next day, so you get that idea out of your head right now,” she said, hands on her hips.

“You know what I mean. I want to live!” I said, with more excitement than I’d felt about anything in a really long time.

She kissed me tenderly. “I want to live with you. We are going to kick ass at living,” she grinned.

I nodded, “And we’ll always have the cabin as our home base. When we’re tired of being on the move, we can come back here and chill for a few months until we feel the itch to go again. We could fly or else buy a motorhome and just go wherever we feel like it.”

She vigorously nodded her head, her eyes wide. “Yes! Then we can take Casper and Evie with us. We can do that off road camping I’ve heard about. You park in the middle of nowhere and just enjoy the solitude. Think of all the places we could have sex then!” she said, with that look in her eye that told me she was dead serious.

“I’m a little afraid of what kind of list you’ll come up with, but you know I’m up for anything.”

“Good, because I think there are some things we have yet to try,” she winked.

I was glad she was open to the idea. Talking about it with her made me anxious to leave soon, like tomorrow. “Gabe can keep an eye on things here. You said you kept your book tours short in the past, but we can change that. We can mix business with pleasure. I’ll be your personal security guard. You’ll need one if you keep wearing those skimpy outfits they have you dress up in.”

Her arms wrapped around me. “Are we really going to do this?” she asked, breathlessly.

“If you’re game, I’m game.”

She kissed me and then stepped back. “We have about a million things to do.”

She poured coffee for each of us, then grabbed her notebook and pen.

“What are you doing?” I asked, as she began furiously scribbling in her book.

“Making a list. I need to call the real estate agent and get that house sold. Then we need to research motorhomes. Then we need to buy the motorhome. Then we need to stock the thing and,” I stopped her by leaning over and kissing her.

“Slow down. We have time. We aren’t leaving tomorrow. Don’t you have to do some book stuff?”

She nodded. “Yes, which is why we need to get busy. I have a jampacked schedule for the next three months. I want to do this, Jake. This is something I have longed for. I need to buy a new camera,” she muttered, scribbling on the paper again.

“Where do you want to go first?” I asked her, staring at my map.

She shrugged. “I don’t know. I’m up for anything.”

“Montana?” I asked.

She smiled. I knew she would understand my desire to see the mountains on the other side of the country. It had been a boyhood dream of mine to live in Montana and have a ranch. Things changed, and I realized that dream was a lot of work. One cold night in February, I had told Calla about my dreams of seeing the Big Sky country.

“Montana it is, but then we are going somewhere warm,” she stated.

I nodded. “Southern California maybe? I’ve been to the beaches in San Diego. They are pretty amazing.”

“Maybe we can pass through there on our way to Florida. I’m thinking a little more tropical.”

I laughed. “I don’t know if California is exactly on the way.”

She shrugged a shoulder. “We’re touring the country. We can make it on the way.”

I nodded. “You’re right. I can’t wait to tell Gabe.”

She winced, “I think Holly will have a minor panic attack.”

I shook my head, disagreeing with her, even though she knew Holly better than I. I didn’t think that was going to be a problem at all. “Holly is going to be plenty busy with her husband and setting up her new life here. She’s not going to worry about what you’re doing.”

“That’s true. She has always been devoted to me, but that was probably because I was the only person in her life. She was the only person in mine. Now that both of us are old married ladies, we won’t have to depend on each other as much.”

“You mean besides Blake?” I said, dryly.

She giggled, “He was never really in my life. You are in my life. You are my life.”

“Woman, if you are trying to butter me up, it’s working.”

She reached one of her hands between my legs. “I wasn’t trying to butter you up, but if that’s your thing, we can certainly try it.”

I burst into laughter. “No. Thanks though. We’d have to burn the sheets.”

She rubbed her body against mine, letting her robe fall open. “How about we grab that bag and head into the bedroom?” she asked, in a sultry voice.

I groaned low in my throat and let her lead the way. My wife had managed to fulfill every fantasy I had, and even more that I had never imagined. I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her by my side.
