Girth (Marked Skulls MC Book 1) by Savannah Rylan (6)

Chapter 6

Girth

I was out on Lila’s hallway, on the other side of her bedroom door. I could hear her settling down on the carpet and I crouched down too. I felt strange, like I was floating outside my body. I wasn’t sure how I had managed to resist pinning her to the wall and fucking her.

I hadn’t planned on lifting her up and carrying her to her bedroom. It had just happened and once I’d picked her up, I couldn’t stop. When I walked into her room, I had to resist every urge in my body to not throw her on the bed and pull down those teensy denim shorts of hers.

She was soft and supple in my arms, as light as a feather. I’d be too big for her and if my cock was inside her, she’d walk funny for days. I wanted to hear her scream, I wanted to watch my cock entering her pussy inch by inch. I wanted to see what her face would look like when she came.

I had no other choice but to walk out of her room. I needed to put some distance between us so I could think straight. This was fucking crazy!

I had never experienced this before. This violent desperate urge to fuck a woman I couldn’t have. Firstly, there wasn’t supposed to be a woman I couldn’t have!

I could see her shadow now, from under the door. I knew she was sitting on the carpet, with her back against the door.

“Lila? I can sit here all day, if that’s what it takes to get you talking,” I said to her in a growl. I knew I would have been more angry at this, at her…I didn’t have the patience for this kind of shit, but Lila was too tempting. I couldn’t just walk away from her, no matter how much she resisted me. Besides, there was a job to do and I was trained to follow orders, no matter how difficult the task was.

I had also realized that there was no point in arguing with Lila. She was good at it. My only chance at cracking her was to try a different angle.

I heard her take in a sharp breath.

“What do you want me to say?” she asked, in a softer milder voice and I got my hopes up.

“Tell me what’s going on. What do you want from your dad? What will it take for you to accept our help?” I asked and pictured Lila’s wild blue eyes on the other side. Her cheeks were full, and her shoulders were slender. I imagined her in sexy lace underwear, and what her skin might taste like against my tongue.

“I want to leave Orlando, okay?” she said flatly and I crossed my brows in confusion.

“You want to leave home?” I asked and I heard her sigh.

“Yes, that’s what I want to do. That’s what I’ve always wanted. I want to get as far away from the MC as I can. Even before all this happened, before I was almost killed, I had a feeling that it wouldn’t be safe here for me,” she said and despite how strong she was attempting to sound, I could hear the sadness in her voice.

“Where do you want to go?” I asked.

“Somewhere on the East coast maybe, Puerto Rico maybe? I don’t know. It doesn’t matter…dad would never let me,” she said and I touched the door, clenching my jaws. She didn’t sound like the mad bitch that she did some time ago. Her voice had sobered, she sounded sad and I felt a desperate urge to wipe that sadness away. I didn’t like the sound of her going away from Orlando; even though I had only just met her, and I was only here temporarily. And yet, I wanted to give her what she wanted, just so that she didn’t feel sad anymore.

“You should ask your dad, I’m sure all he wants is for you to be happy,” I said, and I realized that I didn’t even sound like myself anymore. Who was this guy saying these words? What did I know about fathers and daughters? Mine was a drunk and a wife beater and had driven my mother to the bottle and me to the military. So, no, I fucking didn’t know what Lewis wanted for his daughter. All I knew I wanted was for Lila to stop being sad.

“You don’t understand, Girth. Dad will never let me leave Orlando. It doesn’t matter to him that I nearly died here. He would never want me out of his sight,” she said and she almost sounded like a kid, who was angry that she wasn’t being allowed dessert before dinner.

“But you don’t know that till you speak to him. Showing your anger and putting your life in danger by refusing protection isn’t going to help matters,” I said, surprising myself with my words again. Where was all this coming from?

“I know what he will say. This is how he has been, at least since I can remember, since my mom died,” I heard her say and I clenched my fists to control my urge to open the door.

“How has he been?” I asked and Lila sighed again dejectedly.

“Overprotective, overbearing, like a mad man obsessed with keeping me to himself. He practically forbade me from working anywhere. The only place he allowed me to work was at his own auto body shop,” she said and I heard her turn and knock her forehead against the door gently.

“I feel trapped, Girth, I feel suffocated in this city, in my own home. I love him and I love the guys, they mean the world to me, but I can’t wait to get away from them,” she added.

“Girth?” she said my name softly when I hadn’t responded.

“Yes, I’m here,” I replied and I pressed my temples with my fingers. I wasn’t hungover, but I could feel a headache coming on.

“Will you help me?” she asked and I pressed my eyes close.

“My job here is to keep you safe. I don’t know how I can help you with this. I don’t even really know your dad,” I told her. There was a silence between us, she was thinking.

“I saw your patch. You’re from the Rogue Rebels aren’t you? You know Elwood. Maybe you can talk to him, my dad might listen to his friend,” she continued.

“I’ll see what I can do, Lila. For now, your dad is right. You need to stay here where we can take care of your safety. That’s what I’m here to do and I’m not going to let anyone touch you,” I said, and I could hear my voice getting hoarse. I didn’t even know this woman and I was already making promises to her.

There was silence between us again, and then I heard the sound of her sobs. She was crying!

“Lila, what’s going on in there?” I thundered. I heard her sniff.

“What do you think is going on in here? I’m crying!” she snapped and a soft smile grazed my lips. She was a strange one, and it was even stranger that she so easily made me smile.

“Why are you crying?” I asked because I wanted to hear her voice again.

“Because I’m sad and I feel helpless. I don’t want to live a life where I need a guy to protect me twenty-four-seven. I mean, you’re going to be following me around everywhere,” she said, in a soft whimpering voice.

“I’m going to give you your privacy, I promise. You won’t even know I’m here. I just have to stay close so that I can keep an eye on you,” I said and stood up. It was like trying to take candy away from a child, but for some reason, I wasn’t even annoyed anymore. I liked talking to her.

“But I want my own life, away from here, away from my dad and the MC. And if he doesn’t agree to that…I’m going to go crazy!” she exclaimed and I stepped away from the door.

“Okay, I’ll give you some space. I’m sorry I barged in here like this. I’m going to open the door and then I’m going to go outside. You can take as much time as you want to get used to this, but I’m going nowhere,” I said and I turned the key in the lock.

Slowly, I opened the door and found Lila standing on the other side. Her cheeks were flushed and there was a redness in her large blue eyes. She had wiped her tears away, which was good because I didn’t think I would have been able to bare to watch her cry.

“I’m leaving now, you take as much time as you want,” I said and stepped away from the door. Lila stepped towards me quickly.

“No!” she exclaimed and I stopped in my tracks. “I want you here. I like talking to you, you’re a good listener,” she said. That was the first time I was hearing those words come from a woman, hell, anyone for that matter!

“Okay, what else do you want me to listen to?” I asked, as my gaze travelled from her face to her legs and her bare feet. She had that strange effect on me again. Just one look at her and I could feel my cock standing up in attention again.

Lila smiled faintly now and she stepped closer to me.

“Nothing. I have nothing else to say,” she said and she tipped her head back to look into my eyes. This was the hardest thing I’d done, keeping my hands off her. But she was my new boss’ daughter. I was her bodyguard. I shouldn’t even have been looking at her the way I was doing right then.

I watched with hungry eyes as she lifted herself on the tips of her bare toes, her face was still nearly a foot away from mine.

“I want you to kiss me now,” she said, in a soft whisper, soft enough for me to think that I’d misheard her.

But I didn’t care. I didn’t want to clarify the point with her. My body was already reacting to her presence.

I lowered my head towards her, and I grabbed her face in my hands. She gasped when my lips engulfed hers. She tasted like fresh fruit and I forced my tongue to part her luscious mouth.

She kissed me back just as hungrily as I was kissing her. She was small and delicate, and my mouth was ravaging hers. She opened her lips wide to accommodate my tongue and my hands travelled from her cheeks to her slender pale neck. She reached for my shoulders as I bent myself towards her. She was clinging to me as I kissed her ferociously. I didn’t care anymore who she was or what my job was. All I could think about was how hot she was and how I had to have her.
