Dirty Desires by Michelle Love (36)

Kaye

Being the wife of David Black, billionaire, wasn’t always easy. And of late his insecurities had really kicked in.

He’d always been the jealous type from the very beginning. The reason why was all his own doing, a thing I reminded him of whenever the green-eyed monster inside of him raised its ugly head. “David, that is ridiculous. Neither John nor Jeffery would ever do what you’re accusing them of. Just stop this right now.”

He eyed our bodyguards, staring them down. It wasn’t an easy task to intimidate powerful men such as our bodyguards, but David wasn’t exactly a wimp himself.

Towering over six feet tall, David was a massive man with muscles on top of muscles. His shoulders were broader, his chest wider, and his height just a bit more as to give him the upper hand. Brushing one hand through the dark waves of his shoulder-length hair, David’s deep blue eyes held firm on the men in front of him. “Be quiet Kaye. Let me handle this.” He glared at John first. “I’ve seen you looking at her, John. Don’t even try to deny it.”

John glared right back at him. “Of course you have. She is mine to watch after, Mr. Black. That is what you pay us to do. You do realize that, don’t you, sir?”

“I do not pay you to ogle my wife. What I witnessed was ogling. And the grins you two wore told me volumes about what you were both thinking.” David’s finger pointed at me as he went on, “That woman belongs to me!”

“David, please stop,” I implored him. “Please!”

Of course, he ignored my appeals and continued, “She is mine in every way possible. I will not allow any other man to look at her the way you both were.”

Jeffery shook his head as he tried to get David to see reason. “You’re taking this all wrong. We weren’t looking at your wife with any bad intentions, sir.” He sighed, then went on, “Jeffrey and I had just looked at this woman’s post on a social media site. She didn’t have on a top, and that was probably the reason you found us with expressions you found offensive.”

John added, “It won’t happen again, Mr. Black. We can assure you of that.”

“You can bet your sweet asses it won’t happen again.” As I stood and watched, my jaw dropped. David strode across the living room and opened the front door. “Because you both are fired. Get the hell out of my home, now!”

Neither of the men looked at me as they left our home. I wrung my hands as I watched them go. With no idea how to rein in my husband, I turned and ran up to our bedroom.

Embarrassment and anger coursed through me as I flung myself on our bed.

Most of the time, David and I got along great. But every once in a while, he would get flooded with this jealousy that would make us fight. I knew I wasn’t going to let him just get away with this type of behavior. But gathering strength for the ensuing battles was proving harder and harder to muster.

In the past few months, he and I had spats over several incidents. One was a doctor I had gone to see when I was getting headaches far too often. David didn’t like the way the male doctor talked to me. So, I had to change to a female doctor.

Another time David didn’t like the way a certain driver of ours said my name. He was fired on the spot because David felt he was speaking seductively.

I grew more and more humiliated by his jealousy and the resulting actions. After the last incident, where David accused the postman of peeking in through the window to take a gander at me, I really blew up on him.

I thought that would be it for David. He and I had a terrible fight, but when we made up, he apologized for everything.

But here he was, doing it again. And this time—leaving us with no security to watch over us.

Not many people with the kind of money we had ever went without a security detail. The risk of being kidnapped and held for ransom was higher for people who had great wealth.

I had grown accustomed to the constant trailing the guards did, and it became something that gave me a wonderfully secure feeling. And with one fell swoop, David had robbed me of that.

When the bedroom door flew open, and my husband stood in the doorway glaring at me, I couldn’t take any more. “Get out!”

“You cannot talk to me that way.” He pointed to the floor. “On your knees, now.”

Not only was I David’s wife, but I was also his Submissive. Getting off the bed, I went into the position he wanted me in. On my knees, head bent, completely submissive.

My husband and Dom might’ve thought that he would win this round. But he had no idea how mad he’d made me.

I wasn’t going to take any more from him. I wasn’t going to continue this life with him. Not unless he sought help for the drastic jealousy problem he had.

I heard the zipper of his pants, then he said only one word, “Suck.”
