Dirty Desires by Michelle Love (42)

Kaye

I couldn’t see a thing as a black cloth bag had been put over my head. My hands were cuffed, and my ankles and chest were tied to the chair I sat on.

One might think I would panic. But the way David and I played sometimes had me thinking calmly. The thing was, though, he had never had anyone else come get me and take me out of our house.

That had me a little suspicious. A little anxious. But since I hadn’t been hurt and no one had threatened me, I wasn’t about to lose my mind and start fighting.

Not that I could fight—I was too tightly tied up.

A gag had been placed in my mouth, too. Not a ball gag, which was the type of gag David and I used. It was just a rag stuffed in my mouth with a rope tied around it to hold it in place. It made my mouth dry as hell, and I didn’t like it at all. But I could tell David that when he finally came to me.

I thought that our terrible fight must have him reaching for the stars with this BDSM scene he’d sprung on me.

It was true; many of our arguments ended with sex. Most of the time, it was the normal variety of sex. Not BDSM sex. But this had been a fight that included words about ending our marriage. Maybe he felt like he had to pull out all the stops and go for broke.

All I knew was that he was going to laugh when I finally did get the gag out of my mouth, and I’d be able to tell him that I had calmed way down. There would be no more talk about ending us.

But the scene wouldn’t be wasted. I would enjoy it to the fullest and hoped he would, too.

If he ever got to me.

It had been quite some time since I’d been put in this chair. Maybe an hour. It was hard to tell with all my senses deprived.

I’d been left alone in the room or wherever I was. There were no sounds at all. All I could tell was that I was sitting in a chair with a very straight back, and I was growing more uncomfortable by the minute.

Just as I was about to give up waiting for David to show up, I heard the deep sounds of male voices. They were muffled and sounded like they were coming from the other side of a wall or door, most likely.

A loud bump shook the chair I was sitting in, and then the men’s voices got louder. But I couldn’t make out a word either of them said. All I knew was that I didn’t think I heard David’s voice.

More bumps could be heard, and I realized then that the two men were in a physical altercation. The sound of cracking wood had me cocking my ear toward where it had come from. Then there was a splintering sound like a door was being broken down.

I had no idea if this was part of the act to get my adrenaline pumping or if it was a real thing going on.

Maybe I was in a BDSM club. Maybe David thought that might be something we would like to do. I had no idea, but I did know that those men were fighting, and it sounded like a couple of bulls instead of humans.

As I sat there straining my ears, trying to pick up a word, any word at all, I began to worry about David.

What if he can’t get to me because of these two goons?

What if David was out there somewhere, but the fighting duo was in his way?

I considered my husband’s size and strength and shook off the idea that he couldn’t shove those jerks out of his way if he wanted to. David simply couldn’t be out there. That had to be it.

What came to mind next was that our fight had been over his jealousy. And with that thought, chills covered my skin with goose pimples.

What if David was trying to prove to me that he wasn’t jealous? What if he was going to let some other Dom do things to me and that would prove he wasn’t the jealous man I had accused him of being?

Now, I was worried.

I didn’t want any other man touching me. I didn’t want any other man to lay a hand on my body.

If that was what David had in mind, I wanted the right to be told that and the right to speak, so I could tell him no.

In my wildest imagination, I couldn’t see David doing anything like this. But then again, I had never said things like that to him before. Nor had he ever gone as far either.

Is he really going to have another Dom do things to me?

My body went white hot. Sweat began to run down my legs and arms as panic began to set in. I tried to keep it at bay, but it was no use. The thought of another man touching me, spanking me, and maybe even fucking me was the scariest thing I could even imagine.

Shaking my head, I tried my best to loosen the rope that held the material gag in my mouth. I had to spit that thing out and shout out to whoever would listen that I didn’t want any part of this.

I wanted out of there. Wherever I was. David and I needed to talk. This wasn’t going to be okay with me. I needed to let someone know that I was not consenting to this at all.

Another terrible bump came, and then I gasped as I heard a gunshot. I couldn’t breathe as I sat perfectly still, listening harder than I ever had in my life.

When a second gunshot rang out, I nearly passed out. All that followed those two sounds was complete and utter silence.

I could feel that I was now alone.

Completely alone.
