Hell's Fire MC: The Full Series by Erin Trejo (110)

Chapter 32

He doesn’t want to answer me. I wonder if he will answer Devil as he cuts his fingers off one by one.

“Let’s take him in the warehouse.” Ghost drags the kid by his neck toward the warehouse while the rest of us watch our asses. Making sure there’s no one else around to witness this shit, we all file into the warehouse. Roc checks the locks while Ghost slams the little fucker into the chair in the middle of the room.

“Feel like talkin’ or is Devil gonna get to have some fun?” I ask him.  I don’t remember the kid’s name. I want to say it is Benny, but they fucking look the same to me.

“Fuck you,” The kid growls. Ghost’s fist lands on his jaw, blood splattering out of it.

“Guess that’s my answer.” Devil rolls his sleeves up eager as fuck to make this punk bleed. I find myself fascinated at times by him. The particular way he gets himself ready for what he’s about to do. Like now, rolling his sleeves up as if he isn’t going to be covered in blood by the end of the night.

“I’ve been waitin’ to have a little fun.” Rubbing his hands together, he steps up in front of the kid.

He pulls his knife from the back of his jeans before twirling it in his fingers.

“Why you sellin’ our shit to other clubs?” He leans down in the kid’s face, but he doesn’t say shit.

Devil brings the knife to his cheek, slowly dragging the blade through the kid’s skin.

“Ever heard of death by a thousand cuts?” the kid doesn’t move or say shit.

“Well, let me inform you. None of the cuts are deep. They all barely knick the surface. The thing that hurts, though, is when I throw a little salt on all those wounds. You know with over a thousand, you bleed out. Not as fast as normal. No, it’s slow and long.” I watch him drag the blade, placing another cut.

“By the time I’m done, your mommy won’t even recognize you.” Devil smiles in the kid’s face. He flips the knife within his hand, making a show of it. Slicing through random spots on the kid’s body, I watch.

“See that. Magical,” Devil says. Running his tongue down the blade, Devil licks the blood off it. To some it would make them sick to see but not me, I’m used to this shit with him.

“Why sell our shit, and where the fuck is Marcus?” Ghost steps up next to Devil, asking the questions.

“Fuck you.” Devil’s eyes meet mine, and I know he’s going further. I give him the nod he waits for. The knife plunges into the kid’s shoulder. Screams fill the silent room.

“Look at all that blood!” Devil laughs while the kid screams.

“He told me to sell on the corner like always.” Here we go. Now he’s talking.

“Where the hell is he?” He looks around, unsure if he should answer.Devil plunges the knife into the other shoulder.

“He’s about seven blocks down! We got a new warehouse!” Well, he isn’t being very helpful.

“Where?” Growling in his face, Ghost is getting pissed. I can see it in his eyes.

“On Johnson! Please, just stop!” Devil twists the knife in his shoulder, making him scream louder.

“Why are we known as cop killers?” His eyes widen. Maybe he didn’t hear that part.

“I don’t know, man! I don’t know!” Devil glances over at me. Giving him a nod, he pulls the knife free, sliding it across his throat.Walking toward the door, I’m a little on edge.

Why are they out getting a new warehouse?

***

“We move in, guns loaded and ready. I want Marcus alive, though. He has more information than we know about this shit, I want it.” The guys nod as we jump back on our bikes.

“Two blocks out, cut the engines,” I say. I don’t need them hearing us coming in there. I need that element of surprise on my side right now. I get the nods before we take off.  I don’t like how any of this is going so far. I didn’t want to have to chase these motherfuckers down. I guess it’s a good thing I’m just in a good mood tonight. I need answers from Marcus before I go after Wiley. We park out just like I said, cutting the engines. Climbing off, I double check my guns as the guys do the same.

“This is bullshit,” Devil mumbles under his breath. He’s right, it is, but this is what we do.

“We get in—we get Marcus. I don’t give a shit about the rest of them.” That earns me a laugh out of the rest of them.

“Let’s do it then. I want to get back home and fuck my woman.” All eyes shoot to Roc.

“What?” Shaking my head, I smile. I’m glad that we all have something to go back home to.

Shit could have been different. In a different world at a different time, we wouldn’t care how long it took us. We’d kill, we’d drink, we’d fuck. Nothing else mattered then.

Now it’s different. The club has moved forward. We have old ladies. We have kids. We have families.

That’s what we look forward to now.

We make hand signals to each other on either side of the door. Ghost takes up left while we take right. We know the drill. We’ve done this more than once. I hold a finger up. Then two. Then three. We move in. Kicking the door open we move in, firing as we go. I don’t give a shit who it is inside as long as we get Marcus. Shots are returned as we take cover behind whatever we can find. Off to my left, I spot a woman that I don’t know. She’s trying to move away from us, but when she sees me looking, she stops. Her eyes widen, her mouth falls open. I make my move. Grabbing her around the waist, I put her ass in front of me. My hand moves from her waist to her throat, my fingers tightening around it.

“Where’s Marcus?”  I’m pissed. Growling in her ear, she hiccups through a sob.

“In the back.” Good girl. She didn’t make me have to fight it out of her. That doesn’t mean I won’t kill her just the same.

The sound of the shots slowly fades when I check in with my guys.

“Call out!” I listen intently as they all call out their names. Thank fuck, none of them are dead. I can’t say the same about Marcus’ crew. The woman in my grasp sobs lightly.

“Make one fuckin’ move, and I’ll snap your neck. Understand?” She nods the best she can as I drag her forward with me.

“What did you find?” Devil’s eyes light up when he looks at her.

“A bargainin’ chip.” Kissing her cheek, she cries harder.

“He’s in the back. Check the door's over there, make sure there’s no one else.” Nodding toward the other two doors I see, we make our way toward the back. Surely Marcus heard the little shoot-out, and he’s waiting for us.

“What’s your name?” Whispering in the bitch’s ear, she sobs softly.

“Anna.”

“You make one move Anna, you’re dead,”  I say.  I don’t need to ask her if she understands. She runs with Marcus, she should know better. The guys move ahead, checking the rooms.

“Fuck!” I hear Roc. I drag Anna toward the room, peeking inside.

“What?” Roc steps to the side to reveal two small kids in the corner.

“These yours?” Asking Anna, she nods quickly.

“Good. You fuck up; my boy kills them.” Her sobs come harder before I squeeze her neck tighter.

“Close the door; they don’t need to see this.” Roc steps out closing the door.

“That one’s clear.” Glancing at the last door, I know he’s in there.

Nodding to Devil, he kicks the door open before jumping back.

Marcus fires into the hallway missing everyone entirely.

“Tell him to stop.” Growling in Anna’s ear, I loosen my grip a little.

“Marcus, Stop!” Regripping her throat, I hear him.

“Don’t you hurt her. I’m coming out.” Ghost chuckles before we see Marcus’ hands coming out of the door first.

“See how easy that was?”
