Hell's Fire MC: The Full Series by Erin Trejo (42)

Chapter 15

I saunter in the front doors with a fucking grin of all things, on my face. I get looks from all the guys but it’s Dragon, that calls me on my shit.

“Who the fuck did you just kill?” Dragon yells as he looks at me. I chuckle as I walk over and lean against the bar next to him. Grabbing the beer that sits next to him I say, “No one, yet. Tell me you got news.” before bringing it to my lips.

“I ain’t got, shit. I was plannin’ on sendin’ you out, though,” He says. I shrug. That works for me.

“Where am I goin’?” Eyeing him, he looks a little unsettled. I wonder what this shit is.

“I don’t know if it’s such a good idea now. You look… almost happy,” He says as I laugh. I can’t help it. The man is worried about my happiness?

“Dragon, come the fuck on, brother. I am who I am. You got a job, it’s mine.” I get that Angel has changed me in some ways. Hell, I can feel it too, but the fact of the matter remains. I am the fucking enforcer. I will kill who needs to be killed.

“Yeah, ok. A few of the Ryder’s were caught throwin’ up graffiti around our shop. Busted out the windows and shit. We need to pay them a visit since they decided to take up residence at the vacant house over on sixth,”  He says this and now that has my attention.

“Fuck that. Let’s get to it.” I’m all for this ride. I’m ready to get a little action. It’s been far too long since we’ve had something good pop off.

“Overly eager, are we?” Chuckling, I reach over the counter, grabbing the pack of cigarettes. Shaking one into my hand, I look up at him.

“Damn right, I am. We have sat around doin’ shit for a while now. I need some blood.” Flicking my tongue out of my mouth, he laughs.

“That looks to be doin’ a little more than gettin’ blood,” Ghost says as he chuckles before slapping his hand on my shoulder.

“You really are some kind of sick fuck, aren’t you?” I say looking over my shoulder at him. I don’t get that man. Everyone thinks I’m off, but that man is gone.

“You love me, Devil. Just admit it,”he says taunting me. The crazy son of a bitch has the balls to kiss my cheek.

“Put that mouth over here one more time–you’ll be pullin’ back with no teeth–brother.” Pointing at him as he hops backward away from me, I shake my head. This is it, right here. This is family.  Angel may have her rich parents and all, but this is the true meaning of family. This is what it’s all about.

I slide my gloves on while standing next to my bike. My heart rate has kicked up twenty notches. I know this is going to be a good ride. I can feel it in my bones. My body has a way of knowing. I can’t explain it, and I can’t explain the feelings that roll around inside of me, but that fire that threatens to break free sits right under the surface, ready to burn this town down.

“Look at you. You act like you haven’t seen blood in a hundred years. Maybe we should call you Vampire,” Ghost says as he watches me intently. He knows what I want. He also knows I’ll get it.

“I like that. Blood-sucker.” Giving him a crooked grin, he laughs.

“Crazy, fucker,” Roc mumbles as slaps a hand on my shoulder. I turn to face him. Aria’s wrapped around his waist like she always is.

“What’s up?” I ask, looking between the two of them, I know they have something to say to me.

“Take care of him.” Aria nods at Roc. I just smile like a fucking fool.

“Sweetheart, I ain’t no babysitter. He’s a big boy.” Reaching for my helmet, her hand wraps around my wrist. I blow out a breath, turning back to face her. “I’ll watch the big baby. I promise. If anyone gets killed today, it’ll be me.” Her mouth drops open before I smile.

“She is working some kind of magic on you, huh? You’re smiling,” Aria says before her mouth snaps closed, a smile crossing her delicate features.

“She makes me happy, Aria. I never thought I’d get that. Hey, I need your help when I get back.” Aria smiles the most perfect smile I’ve ever seen, before throwing her arms around my waist.

“Anything. I would help you with anything, Devil.” My eyes lock with Roc’s.  Crazy fucker can’t still be jealous. Pressing a kiss to the top of her head, I move back, shoving her into Roc’s arms.

“Hug your man before I have to beat his ass.” Aria turns to look up at him. His expression changes in the matter of seconds. I wonder if that’s what I look like with Angel. Do I go all fucking soft for her?

“You girls ready to ride?” Dragon roars over his shoulder before sliding onto his bike.

“I haven’t been this goddamn ready in a long time.” That was more for me, but I know Roc heard me. I can see the grin.
