DANGER

SIX MONTHS LATER

My voice has never felt better. I continue to do all my exercises like Sarah has instructed me to because the last thing we need is for a reoccurrence of another polyp, or for me to strain my vocal cords again. We’re at the end of our world tour and we’re back in Australia. Our fame is higher than ever before, and the song release and the collaboration between Recoil and Luminous is off the charts. Lunar Eclipse was a smash hit. It went triple platinum in seven countries, not only sending Recoil into super stardom but Luminous too. I never thought I’d get this far, and I’ve done it all because Lunar stuck by me and believed in me. She showed me who I truly am, and it’s a man I’m now proud of.

Our last stop off is Adelaide before we head back to America. Lunar has applied for the right visas and stuff to stay in America for a prolonged period of time.

The only thing that sucks—leaving Luke. He’s been so good to us, but he’s needed here in Australia and is staying back to be with Luminous and helping them along.

But as we’re back in Adelaide and I know Lunar’s been missing her boys, I want to see if we can catch up with Techie and the guys at their new club in Aldinga. I want to arrange a visit so she can see them before we leave for America. I pull out my phone to message Techie to see if things are okay to visit. I know the club went into lockdown about a month ago, so I’m hoping that’s all sorted now.

Me: Yo Techie, we’re in town. Just wondering if it’s safe for us to drop by? It’s been a month surely lockdown is lifted by now, right? lol

I wait impatiently for his reply. I really want to do this for Lunar. I know she wanted to leave that life behind, but I don’t know how long we will be in the States for before she’ll be able to come back and see these guys again, and I know she misses them even if she won’t talk to me about it.

Techie: Hey, yeah, sorry mate. Lockdown is lifted, and it’s safe to pop by. When are you thinking?

I smile and look over to Lunar. She’s preoccupied with her cell not knowing the scheming plan I’m coming up with right in front of her.

Me: We can head in tonight if you guys are available?

I really want to get in and see her friends before she sees off her mother and Stuart at the airport.

Techie: Yeah for sure, I know the guys will love to see Lunar again. Will be good to see all of you actually, it’s been a while. Just drive up to the gate and look into the camera, tell them who you are and they’ll let you in.

I type back with excitement that I can do this for her.

Me: See you soon.

The tour has officially ended, so a get together at the club tonight is just what we need so I decide to tell Lunar where we’re going.

“So babe,” I announce, and she looks up at me putting her cell down. “I’m taking you out tonight. Seeing as the tour is over, you, me and the guys are going to a special get together.”

She raises her eyebrows and nods. “Oh, like a press thing or something?”

I shake my head. “No, this is more for your benefit. We’re heading to Aldinga, to the MC, to see your guys.”

She sits up taller looking me in the eyes with her mouth agape. “What? Really? You hate the club?”

I position myself to sit down beside her and grab her hands in mine. That spark shoots between us and it makes my heart skip a beat. “I do, but I don’t dislike Techie, and I’d like to see him. This all started with his help, and I know you’d love to see them before we leave… and their new clubhouse.”

“Really? You’d do that for me?”

Tilting my head. “Babe, I’d do anything for you. I just want you to be happy. You’re coming to America to be with me, leaving your family and friends, the least I can do is help you see them before you leave.”

Her bottom lip trembles and she lunges forward taking me into her arms embracing me. “I love you.”

Chuckling as I smoothe her hair back. “I love you, too.”

We drive our van to Aldinga pulling up at the gate. Ryan sticks his head out of the window to look at the hi-tech video display, and a guy with a round face and a beard flashes up on the screen.

“Yeah?”

“Ah, hey! We’re Recoil. We’re here to see Techie and for a party of some sort?” Ryan offers and the guy nods on the screen. The gate slides open with ease and Lunar chuckles.

“Well, this gate is certainly a lot better than the one at Virginia. This place looks so much… um… cleaner,” she says as Ryan drives into the compound.

When Ryan pulls up, I notice Techie and Steel walking over toward us. Steel looks as tense as shit as I slide the door open and Lunar steps out. I follow behind her and wrap my arm around her pulling her to me in front of Steel. It’s funny because our relationship has always been about Lunar being jealous of me and Effa or Ella, but now faced with Lunar’s ex, the roles seem reversed and I’m a little on edge. I can’t help but want to stake my claim on Lunar, and let Steel know that she’s mine, no matter what.

Techie smirks watching me and tilts his head. “So in America there’s around 246 million or so adults. Approximately 43% are single averaging about 105 million, leaving 141 million couples. So with those statistics I’d say about one percent or 1.41 million people have actually gotten back together with an ex-partner.”

We all look at Techie and furrow our brows wondering what the hell he’s bringing these weird ass statistics up for.

He shakes his head. “What I’m saying is the odds of Steel and Lunar getting back together is not likely. Plus, they were never really a couple anyway, so this awkward tension you three have is not really necessary is it?”

Lunar opens her eyes wide as I grit my teeth and hold onto Lunar tighter.

Steel rolls his eyes at Techie. “Tactful Techie, real tactful,” Steel chides and turns walking off.

“What?” Techie calls out to Steel as Ryan, Matt and Nate all laugh slapping Techie’s back and grinning at him.

“Thanks Techie. Still a douche I see,” Lunar teases.

Techie smirks pressing his open palm to his chest. “Oh Lunar, how I’ve missed thee,” he mocks and she reaches out shoving him with a giggle. “No, really, it’s good to see you looking so… well.”

She smiles glancing at me and nods. “A rocker’s girlfriend is a good life.”

I squeeze her to my side in a show of thanks, as Techie grins and gestures his hand out for us to walk ahead of him.

“My humble abode awaits for you m’lady,” Techie says.

Lunar shakes her head and smirks as we walk with the other guys through the compound toward the back where the bonfire is flickering brilliantly, and where I’m guessing the party will be held tonight.

As we round the corner Lunar tenses in my arms and I follow her gaze as her eyes rest on a fiery redhead who’s sitting around the bonfire with a young little boy on her lap. I’m confused slightly because his skin color is a lot darker than her clean crisp white, but who am I to judge.

We take a seat and the tension in the air between Lunar and the redhead is immediately apparent. You could cut the air with a chainsaw, and it would still be as thick as a tree log. I have no idea what’s going on, but I hate seeing Lunar so tense.

“Hi Willow, nice to see you’re still around,” Lunar says nicely toward the redhead, and it quickly registers to me that this is the woman Steel broke things up with Lunar for.

Now I get the tension.

“Hey Lunar, glad you and Danger are working out so well,” Willow says with a clipped tone to her voice, obviously not wanting to play nice tonight.

Techie glances at Willow furrowing his brows and she turns from him. I think they’re good friends and she knows he’s annoyed at her behavior too.

“So Danger, you guys are heading to the States next right?” Techie queries.

I nod. “Yeah, we’re going home. We’ve loved being in Oz. We’ve done good here, and have taken off really well, but we want to try again in the US. I need to get back to my sister, I miss the little brat,” I admit while Lunar cuddles into my side. We’ve talked about her meeting Mouse and she can’t wait.

“So Lunar are you going as well?” Willow asks.

Lunar looks at me and smiles. “We talked about it and yeah, I’m going to be getting my visa and going over there with them. It’s a whole new world for me. We’re going into a whole new industry, and I just know with the music they’re making now they’re going to be huge in the US, they just have to hit at the right time. But they will, I know it.”

It’s so nice to hear her talking like that. I know she really does believe in me and my music. I’m so fucking lucky to have her.

“Do you think the press will be kind to you in the US?” Willow asks.

Techie glares at her and the blonde female friend next to her bumps her shoulder as if to tell her to shut up. I’m getting pretty sick of this bitch’s attitude toward Lunar myself.

Lunar takes a deep breath as I rub her leg in a show of support. “That’s something we’ve talked about, too. We know that me being in the club will probably come up, it already has in Australia and we dealt with it then, so we can deal with it in the US too.”

“So did they call you a club girl or a club whore?” Willow blurts out.

My fists clench by my sides as the blonde woman coughs bumping her again, and Willow winces as soon as she says it.

“Wow! You’re kind of a bitch,” Ryan exclaims, and I can’t help but smile. I wish I’d said it actually, but Ryan is braver when it comes to being attacked by bikers than I am.

Techie chuckles and she glares at him. “What? Flame, c’mon you need to calm down. I know you and Lunar have bad blood, but you got Steel, she’s with Danger, no one’s moving in on anyone. You just need to take a step back,” Techie calls out.

She sinks into her chair, clenches her eyes tight and winces. “Shit!” She opens her eyes and looks at Lunar who’s frowning. “I’m sorry, Lunar. I’ve never been very jealous, but Steel, he’s mine and I’m not letting anyone step in on that. I’m sorry if I’m being narky, I just… we do have bad blood, and I guess I don’t forgive easy. It’s hard to stop picturing you sleeping with my man.”

Clearing my throat at the thought of Lunar and Steel together, I shift uncomfortably as Lunar takes in a deep breath. “I’m sorry everything went down the way it did. But truly, Willow, Steel is safe. I only have eyes for one man now and I’m sitting on his lap. I promise,” she says turning to look at me.

I smile at her sincerity and she leans in kissing my lips softly. A spark of electricity runs straight through me and down to my cock making it jolt slightly. I love she can do that just with a simple kiss as her hair falls down around my face.

“Okay, well, I’m glad they’re having fun,” Steel’s voice appears out of nowhere as we pull apart and he sits down next to Willow. She looks at him and reaches out for his hand, he picks her hand up kissing it tenderly.

With tensions seeming to have ebbed, I turn Lunar back to look at me and I stare into her eyes. “I love you, only you.”

She grins and nods. “Only you.” She leans in kissing me again, and we make out around the flickering flames of the Aldinga Satan’s Savages bonfire.
